I heart Macy's. I do. I shop there entirely too much. I get a huge kick out of the coupons and the rewards and walking away with a $30 dress. I even bought my last mattress and couch from Macy's because of their financing deals. I will not, however, be buying any more jewelry from them. I purchased an Effy ring from them in March. I have huge hands, so I had to have it sized. I bought the warranty plan so that I could size it again later if needed. Off to sizing it went. They send it off to another facility for any kind of repairs so it was a good two weeks before it came back. When it was done, I tried it on and it fit well so I went off happy with my purchase. Unfortunately, the first time I wore it I realized the stone was now loose. It didn't feel loose but you could definitely hear it rattling any time I moved my hand. I took it back in and submitted it for repair. Off it went for 2+ weeks. Back it came.. with the exact same problem. Third verse, same as the first.. this time, the saleslady specifically wrote "shake the ring, you can hear it moving". 2+ weeks later, it showed back up. When they called to tell me it was in, I asked the sales rep to shake it for me before I wasted my time driving down there again. She assured me it was good. I drove down there, heard it for myself - no shake. Hooray! Finally.. my ring. I put it on and started to walk away.. except - waaaait a minute, WTF is going on with the side?! Yeah, they managed to scrape away the black accent coloring around the filigree. The salesperson tried to convince me that it was just cleaning material stuck in there. I disagreed and told her to clean it out if it was just material. She tried for about 10 minutes before finally admitting that I was right, the black was just gone. Baaaaaaaaack it went. I did get the ring back finally about 2 weeks ago.. and was able to wear it for the first time since purchasing it (and paying for it) 3 months before. Ironically, when I went to pick up the ring for what is hopefully the last time, they tried to sell me another one. Yeah, thanks Macy's, I'll pass. I was in here shopping for work clothes with my mom and daughter. The people who worked there were no help at all. They kept shooting me and my mom dirty looks because my daughter was kind of whining but was was keeping to herself. And then the woman who checked us out didn't offer their credit card (which she had for the person in front of us) of which we do have and could have looked up for us. In the future I will consider taking my business elsewhere read more

Macy's sells great quality clothing & cologne. The cologne very RARELY goes on sell & is excluded from most coupons. They do have a lot of great sales, especially during the holidays. It's one of my favorite stores. Only cons... The men's urban selection is really suffering and if you need a above 2X in shirts or above 38 in waist, you may be very disappointed. read more

Great friendly and professional service from male staff member 10453340 at 4:30pm 11/28/15 who rung up 2 shirts from me and again later from female staff member 10130746 who handled an exchange at 5:45pm 12/02/15. Great to see what appears to be long time sales professionals in this store. Sorry I did not get their names but would be nice if Macy's would print them on the receipt so we can ask for them again when returning to shop. read more

They made us wait for 30 minutes in the shoe department did not aknowledge our presence. Closed at eight and would not let us get to our car in parking lot. Overall awful customer service and worst experience with Macy's ever. Long story short won't be going there anytime soon. read more

I love Macy's, always have, and I shop there often. I SO hope they don't close all the stores to satisfy the people who like to sit at home and order things without trying them on or seeing them in person! Sometime it is pretty hard to find a salesperson, but lately it seems to be better. Most of the sales people that I run into are very friendly as well. I like all the sales, special offers and Macy's money. My only complaint is the pickup area for online orders. I do usually prefer to shop in the store, but since I have a weird shoe size I have to order my shoes. I've ordered quite a few lately and I'm unhappy with the way it's done. The sign overhead specifically says that it's for online orders, returns, and a couple of other things, but not for purchasing items. The woman who is usually working there is very sweet, and she does a good job, but she's also slow. There have been two times now when I waited for someone to unload a bunch of clothes, plus a return, plus advice from the salesperson on what they should wear with the clothes, while a long line builds up. I'm assuming this associate has been told to go ahead and let people buy things there just for good customer service, but this is supposed to be a pickup area. The last time I waited in line she was having a long conversation with a gentleman who didn't seem to care that there were several of us waiting in back of him after he finished his transaction. Not her fault, true, but there should be at least one person who handles nothing but online orders. There are sometimes other people there, but lately it's been only one person. I have never run into this problem at the Chesterfield store, and I could go back to picking things up there, but it's closer to go to Macy's at West County. Just a suggestion to better serve those who really need to pick something up. read more

Like most women, I love Macy's. But this week when my sister and I were shopping it was SO HOT, while other stores in the mall, like Brighton , were wonderfully cool and comfortable. While checking out, I asked the clerk to call a manager to report my complaint, but the manager never came over. Although I enjoy online shopping, I enjoy in-person shopping for my clothing. It was so hot in Macy's, I was too uncomfortable to try on clothes (the fitting rooms were hotter than the store) so I just left, buying nothing. read more

9/2/17 noon. Macy's West County's-St. Louis store manager met me in the middle of the store on lowest floor asking if I needed help. I noticed the escalators weren't working (and I had to go to the top floor). He directed me to the elevator, apologized for the inconvenience, and said the repairmen were in the store. In kitchenware, Ashley gave me a discount on the already discounted, but expensive (and heavy) large Pyrex set I was buying. In sheets and towels, Meral was glad to call for help to get my bags of new towels and the Pyrex box to the car. Eric from the dock arrived quickly, and carried everything to my car...chatting the whole way. What a great day at Macy's! Mr. Macy would be proud of each of them!!! read more

Macy's is on my "Naughty List" right now. I called the 800 number to see about exchanging boots I bought for my son. Estimated hold time: 10 minutes. Actual: 17 minutes. I couldn't understand the person who finally answered. When I asked her (very politely) to repeat the instructions, she hung up on me. Then I called the West County store and went thru the long set of instructions to get to Men's shoes. The person picked up the phone and hung it up without saying anything. Great service, Macy's! I called back and went through the prompts again, and this time the shoe dept answered and said they'd hold the size I need. Not holding my breath - we'll see what happens when I get there. I was looking to but a specific recliner and a cloth couch. The women tried to sell me a sea foam green leather couch. When i asked how long the sale lasted she replies "i don't know". When I asked if she would be in tomorrow she replied "maybe" What? Awesome! Thanks for the great customer service Macy's! Great training skills! Get it together Macy's... I left and went to the South County Macy's Location. I won't even mention the experience because no one bothered to talk to me. read more
