I've been picking up orders by buying them online and my oh my their staff/ customer service have bad attitudes. if I can pull her hair and slap her without being in trouble with the law and God, I would do it. there are two notable staff members that were rude with my dealings with them to pick up my items. hey, if you're not happy with your job, quit! however, there are some instances that I get some good ones. whoever is the manager of the online/curbside pick up dept should hire better customer service people. the manager, who is Caucasian woman is very helpful and professional and possess excellent customer that she should hire people that have the same skills like her. read more

When we arrived at the counter a woman named Gabby was distracted talking to her coworker and when we asked to sample some fragrances, she seemed annoyed. She didn't spray the ones we asked and kept spraying random scents and smelled them before giving it to us. On top of that, when we said we were looking to purchase as a gift, she looked towards her coworker and shook her head "no" as if we weren't worth her time. She asked if we needed to think about our options and when we said "yes," she left to break with her coworker. Now i've been standing here for 10-15 minutes until another worker Jaime came and helped, even though he was just passing by. He was a lot nicer and attentive and explained prices and deals thoroughly. read more

Macys at stone wood mall disappointed me!! Earlier this week me and my husband were looking in the suit department for about fifteen minutes looking for someone working in suits we than found a women that i believe her name was Viashelly after I asked her for help she rudely brushed off the question and began to talk to her colleagues after we asked for help about sizing. Than after that i kindly asked her for help one more time she than agreed but after showing her what we wanted she disappeared for a good period of time. This Macys is better than a lot of other Macy's in the local LA County area. This Macy's has Lots of variety for business attire and also lots of very pretty winter coats. The prices are reasonable for the quality you get at Macys. The sales girl at the Sunglass hut was very kind and patient. I'm not sure about the other employees. lol Macys should hire more happy people though. lol so they can get more 5 stars on Yelp. read more

The store is always busy! That's great but also how? The store employees are usually rude, to the customers, because within their own circle they are always smiling and happy. I always give Macy's the benefit of doubt with their kid section. It always disappoints. Their selection for boys is always bad and messy. The prices and sales do make it a bit worth it but not as a go to place. read more

This review is specifically for the MAC Cosmetics counter. I have shopped here numerous times, with each visit resulting in a different customer service experience. The MAC employees here lack customer service skills. One of them was very rude to me. I went in to purchase their expensive products recently, but no one attended to me. I was finally helped, but then had to wait an incredibly long time at the checkout counter without being acknowledged. I almost walked away in frustration. Another issue with this MAC counter is the blaring club music. It was so loud, I couldn't even hear myself think! I will avoid this MAC location at all costs. read more

Shop at Nordstroms, not Macys! I bought sandals for Summer in March & realized they were too big. Took them back unopened, never worn & asked to exchange for a smaller size or different shoe.. I was told NO! Macys doesn't take anything back after 39-days. Period. I said I just wanted a different size & was willing to even pick a different style & didn't need money back and was still told NO! I will never buy from them again. I was browsing at Macy's this evening and decided to buy a pumpkin bread at the Starbucks there located by the main entrance of the store. As I approached the counter, there was a young skinny girl with curly hair giving me a very annoyed look. Before I could say anything she said very loud and in a rude tone "We're closed!" A simple "Sorry, we are closing" would have been proper etiquette. I don't need attitude and someone looking at me with such contempt. That is very poor customer service, they need to hire people with a modicum of social skills and manners because that behavior is disgusting. The store was still open for business so how was I supposed to know they were "closed" while other customers were sitting at tables eating and drinking there? I will not go to this particular Starbucks's ever again, every other one I have been to had jovial and welcoming employees not ones who look at you like you're trash. read more

I came in for a last minute Christmas gift and in search for a Cartier cologne for men and couldn't find it anywhere. I called and spoke to Jaime a Macy's customer service representative and he mentioned he would take a look in the back for me and see if he found any. I ended up showing up with no hopes of their being any in stock as I mentioned they were sold out everywhere. To my luck there ended up being one in the stockroom and Jaime saved the day. His customer service is impeccable. I will come again and shop with Jaime moving forward. read more

I ordered, 2 ítems, one was canceled but still charged for it. I never knew the other item was available because I never received a pick up text. I only knew that the item was available for pickup because I went to the website to see why I was being charged for an order that was canceled. When I went to pick up the item I waited 10 minutes after checking in on the app, then finally called into the store to tell them I was there to pick up the other item. I waited and a guy came out and told me that something was going on with the order he said he would be right back. I wound up waiting about 30 minutes to get my item when I got home I looked at the item and it was broken. I do not recommend the Downey location at all,customer service is terrible. read more

Decided to visit Macy's since my son wanted to check out the Toys R Us inside. It was a good selection of toys and the prices weren't that bad. Everything was OK until it came time to pay for our purchases. Went down to the first floor nearest the South doors and encountered employee "Kayla" who from the onset seemed annoyed at my presence. She leans over the counter as I am standing in the queue line and asks me, "I'm, what are you here for, what did you want?" I replied, I would like to pay for these items. She says, "oh, wait, I'll be right with you" and proceeds to turn towards her coworker who I couldn't identify since she had no name tag. They continued their chatting and about 2 minutes passed and the coworker moves over to another register and motions to me to come over. The cashier then takes my items and asks me, "are you paying with a Macys card?" I said no, Apple Pay, she then seemed disappointed and says ok then. Wait for the screen to change. I paid for my items and walked away, did not get a thank you for shopping here as is typical at high end stores like this, but unfortunately for the Macys here in Downey, Ca. Inside the Stonewood Center, one doesn't feel too appreciated. My wife who was also shopping but stayed a little after to purchase other items unfortunately encountered "Kayla" as well. She too encountered the same poor attitude. As a note, I visited on a Sunday evening about an hour before closing so maybe that may have lead to the poor behavior I encountered while shopping here. Don't think I'll be returning to this Macys store. read more

I often shop at this store, however today was the worst customer service ever! I bought a jacket last night and got the pre-sale price and had to pick-up my jacket today. I went to the shoe department and as always was welcome and bought shoes. I went to the customer service department to pickup my purchase and was just another number. The young women that helped me didn't know what to do, told me to step aside and asked the other women. She said to ask someone else, I should have know that none of them didn't know what to do. Another women came in and said ask someone else, she took my receipt and I stood there for a long time. I was trying to be patient, however was not acknowledged at all, I asked three times what was taking so long. A nice gentleman came by and picked up clothes and went upstairs, I asked again what was taking so long, they told the women that took my receipt was helping someone else and had to wait. At this time, I'm ready to yell at someone, however, kept my cool. The women that originally helped me told me to go and sit down and wait. I was fuming at this time, finally the nice gentleman that had seen like 10 or 15 minutes before came by with my jacket. I told him, that was the worst customer service I had experienced and he apologized and said I saw you earlier. I told him, I was extremely upset and was going to Yelp my experience and he said he was going to find out what happened. I don't like to Yelp a bad experience because that is not in my character. However, in this instance, the store manager needs to train their employees as I have a choice to take my business elsewhere. They all made me feel, as I was bothering them, the big woman in pink asked another employee in front of me, what's going on customers from the other side are coming here. The older woman said I don't know! Talking about customers in front of them is unacceptable and rude. I hope the manager watches the film from the front customer service and sees how the employees just ignored me and they get training on customer service. I have been here a few times. Mainly to pick up online orders or exchange for a different product size. They have a designated line for online pick ups so I didn't have to walk to a random clothes counter to be assisted. This process usually takes longer since the cashiers don't always deal with retrieving online orders for customers. The lady that assisted me was efficient and was not badgering about any returns or exchanges in the past. I will continue to visit this location for my online pick up needs/returns or exchanges in store. read more

I know understand why department stores are losing to Amazon/online shopping. I visited Macy's first thing when they opened and understood why the closures of many department stores. I walked in when they opened the door, first thing was there was no greeting. ( no big deal I can live with that)... Then I literally went up and down several times, in and out from fitting rooms several times looking for a specific fit/style of clothing. I saw many workers, by the way for some it was very hard to tell they worked there. I remember all staff would dress up like "office casual" and they would have like a identification around their neck.. which I was would confirm they were employees there. But I saw a lot of woman fixing clothe/racks but they were dressed super casual with no order, like they each wore literally whatever and had no identification. I just realized they worked there because then I would see them push racks or fix clothe. I also noticed the cashiers were younger looking and dresses as should be. So I imagine this "woman" are probably just part time to come in and help fix clothe. But I think they too should have the same dress code since they are working there.. Aside of all this employees working there, nobody ever approached me to see if I needed help of any sort. When I paid the cashier was either in a bad mood or idk.. it was just a horrible experience. I personally always preferred shopping in person because there is nothing like the human contact and etc.. but based on this experience I am really preferring online shopping . Very easy to filter things to find what you need at the comfort of even your home. read more

"I LOVE YOU MACYS" Now what is there not to love about this place ?? I am a perfume type chick... Macy's has one of the most largest sent selections I have ever seen (I don't get out to much) lol. From Christian Dior to Moschino and Ralph Lauren and much much more you can go crazy trying to figure out which one you'll leave there with. The guys also have a huge selection as well (but women's have more) As a lot of women know they have all the latest hand bags and wallets from Micheal Kors and Coach and many more. (Those just popped in my head) if you want Gucci,Prada or Louis Vuitton this is the wrong store . (You'll want to go to Bloomingdales for those) Makeup selection is also huge, but that's a whole other review. And don't let me get stared on there sun glasses selection....wooweee!!! (DOPE SECTION) Customer service is also good when I go I've never had a problem with anyone there, they are very attentive to your needs.. also store is always clean and shiny. I have no complaints. The service was great I was returning a dress 3 months waiting to be returned. The first place right when I walked in said you need to go to our customer service and she went out of her way to show me where it was. I got there and the young lady was friendly, quick and professorial. The service was on the main floor where most of the customers must pass. Not in the back corner like the old days. After 40 years I'm glad Macy's is learning in todays retail world. It is not about price for them. It is about customer service. read more
