All the cashiers or service people are rude. They are not talking to you. My mom had a bad experience with one of the cashiers that works at Macy's. Her name was Maria and my mom said that she made her get in line again because she wasn't in the correct line and she let the new people that were in the correct line go first when my mom was there first. Then she was cleaning her station and while she was cleaning it she started glancing at my mom and the lady just kept taking her time and made my mom wait. The next day, my mom invited me to go with her to return her items and the same lady was there again and she just was eyeballing us like we are weirdos or something. I recently tried to make a Macy's credit card payment with some gift cards. That is against their policy? You can pay for merchandise only with a gift card, they say. Very disappointing. I heart Macy's and I jumped at the opportunity to stop by the Stonewood Mall yesterday just to take a stroll in Macy's. Yes I was hesitant about the mall being ghetto, but was pleasantly surprised when I entered Macy's... The store itself is large, the displays in each department are attractive, and they have high end merchandise displayed neatly. Theft must be high because all of the designer purses were tied down with cables. I mean we're talking Juicy Couture tote-bags that were around $80. My only tiff would be that they had a large section for Jessica Simpson's clothing line. Seriously? Her styles are country chic and overpriced. read more

I ordered 2 items through Macy's app. This was on Sep 2022. I never received my items and these were a gift for a special person. After calling multiple times where customer service informed me that my money would get refunded back since it was an error on the delivery and this was Macy's fault. Well I never received my refund and I called, as I mentioned multiple time. After the 4th time calling, representative that I spoke to said they couldn't do anything about it and I would have to go to the actual Macy's store. I had to waste time driving to the store. Then I finally got my refund. But then since this was on my Macy's credit card, they continue charging me late fees. I called again and they were still trying to charge me saying it was because they were late fees. I did not understand why since I never received the item, and as Macy's started, this was their fault. They finally agreed on removing all amount showing on my credit card. And now, it's still showing I owe. This experience has been very unpleasant and I will closing my Macy's account due to this inconvenience. read more

Kayla is an asset to this store! I am a long time shopper of Macy's and was in the store to pick up a huge order that I had made. I had about 3 large boxes that I had ordered full of clothes for my children. I was expecting to carry everything to my car so i parked near the Macy's entrance and walked in. I went to the "customer service" pick up area and right away was helped by Kayla who was so fast in doing her job and was 100% the sweetest person working there. She brought my boxes out and asked me if i needed help talking them to my car and I told her that if it wouldn't be too much of a bother for her than of course I would love the help. She told me that it was no issue at all and took one of the boxes and a young man took the other box and I carried one myself too. We made it to the car when I realized that I had definitely brought the wrong car for these huge boxes (a 2 door Porsche). Kayla was really quick in suggesting that they could unbox the packages and fit them in the 2 trunks (front and back that the car has) . I loves the idea and we all started unboxing everything and Kayla meticulously organized all of the clothes on the passenger side so that I could comfortably ride home and some in the front trunk. I was so thankful for her fast thinking otherwise I would have had to call my wife to get a bigger car and then we would have to both drive home. Thanks to Kayla I was able to get home fast and with everything organized it was a breeze to take everything out. Great attention to detail!! Review about their Mac : I have been wearing Ruby Woo for over 10 years and I purchased a ruby woo lipstick here at their MAC for a little over $20 and when I tried it on it came on like a wax crayon with hardly any red pigmentation and this has never happened to me I'm convinced they're selling faux Mac products and probably keeping the real product with each sale! This review is for the MAC counter in Macy's. In a economy struggling to keep department stores open, I'm truly surprised and beyond dissatisfied with the service I received this past Saturday. I had to ask a representative on the floor to help me, she was straightening displays and was unaware of my existence. She didn't crack a smile, made very minimal eye contact, didn't make me aware of any other products and couldn't even hand me the concealer I bought in my hand. She left the register before I did which I though was outrageously rude. I would have preferred to purchase online to have avoided such an awkward transaction. This review is specifically for the Sunglasses Hut inside of Macys. We walked in and approached the counter asking for the warranty that comes along with the purchase. Immediately the sales rep Julian became confrontational towards my boyfriend and I with attitude and being defensive about it. We didn't finished asking our question before he jumped to conclusions saying that we need a code to complete the transaction. We were trying to tell him that another Macys didn't ask us for that but he kept cutting us off repeating that we still need a code. I didn't appreciate how we were trying to make a purchase and how Julian's poor customer service was. We then asked to talk to a manager and told us they didn't know who that was then proceed to say if we still want to speak with them they were only available on Saturday which I found that very odd. This review if for the Macy's Home Store located next to the main department store facing Firestone Blvd. It is a separate store that has home goods appliances, mattresses, etc. Took my friend here to purchase a new mattress, box spring combo, since they had a sale, I figured he could probably get what he was looking for here since he was planning on using his Macy's Card. Upon arrival, I advised the young lady at the counter that we were there to look at Mattress sets. She called the "Specialist" and said she would assist us. We follower her to the Mattress section, looked like they had a nice selection of mattresses laid out for customer to try. What bothered me about this particular situation was that the young lady assisting us, was not engaging us in any way, she asked no questions, and had short answers for the ones I did ask her. If I am selling a high ticket item such as a mattress set (some display models hit the $1,400.00 mark) I know for sure I would had engaged my customer more, I would had ask questions, and definitely ask my customer to feel free to lay on the displays (they are set up for that with feet area protector and pillows), yet this girl just seemed detached and observing me asking my buddy to go ahead and try different ones, I was asking him, how he like it? was it the right firmness? was it right for his room? all while looking at her and trying to transmit to her "Hey, this is what YOU should be asking", nope did not work. Eventually I sense she was a bit annoyed by my questioning, and I walked away for a bit to see if she would engage friend more, nope. Long story short while I was away updating stuff on my phone, my friend walked over and said he had purchased a set. Oh wow, really? We walked away, and he told me in the car that it would be delivered on Friday (for a charge) but that he wasn't sure if that was was he wanted, as he did not ask nor did she offer him any other information. Ad I took him home, his regret kept growing and I told him, that he was not obligated to end up with what ever she sold him just because he had already paid for it. Next day I took him right back to the "Specialist" and had the sale cancelled, she definitely remembered me from the night before and kicked the attitude up a couple notches, didn't say much, processed the return and off we went. As a side note I would say to Macy's to retrain their sales staff in customer interaction to not only close sales for your company, but also to increase customer satisfaction, as a seasoned Customer Service professional of almost 10 years, some of it in retail, I know what people want, a sharp, intuitive and professional sales person, not only answers questions, but to demonstrate applied product knowledge. I returned an item and made an appt to get my makeup done and the girl taking my info said they would call as soon as a spot opened up, 30-45 minutes max, but was not very happy about me returning the item and tried to talk me out of it. I told her I would repurchase something else when they did my makeup to qualify for the free makeover with $60 purchase which I wanted for a wedding that day. They never called me back and I figured they wouldn't because if the ladies condescending attitude, but I ended up getting a way better makeover for $40 and Kiko Milano! Comparing the work I had at Mac on previous occasions vs the one at kiko, well I found a new place. Way more affordable and without the attitude. read more

I have to update my review. I went there this afternoon to return a dress I had purchased in Brea. While I was there, I figured I might as well look around to see if there was anything good. Well, they were having an awesome sale. Maxi dresses that were $80 were $12! A skirt that was $40 was $10. I had to return... and buy more. Lol. When I got the the register, there were two girls. Neither of them had name tags. The one right behind the register, as soon as she saw me, yelled to someone else asking if she was ringing up. She, then, told me to go to the other register to wait. Really? As I was walking, she said 'nevermind' and that she'd help me. Well, she didn't talk to me the whole, entire time except to tell me my total and when to slide my card and when to sign. Instead, she spent the whole, entire time talking to the employee next to her, who had her cell phone out and showing her things on it. The girl would stop ringing up my items to look at the cell phone. It was the rudest service I have ever received at Macy's. Terrible. Awful. Just plain... bad. The Starbucks manager Jennifer Chavez is completely unprofessional. Do not purchase coffee from this location, they over charge and when you dispute the charges the manager will give you an attitude. I'm almost 100% sure that while her staff was swamped she was making herself some sort of drink that I did not see her stand in line to pay for. If I were the DM I would look at the cameras between 3-5 pm for 1/08/2022. The manager doesn't wear her hair up and was behind the counter touching things and she did not wash her hands when she e where's the kiosk. So, I went in today to purchase my makeup. I haven't purchased makeup in quite sometime. I am not one to order to have this delivered to me. I like the personal touch. I like to speak with the reps and know what's new and what there is to look forward to soon. Today's visit was honestly the best one yet here at MAC Macy's at the Stonewood Center in the city of Downey, CA. It is not often you are greeted with a smile at any makeup location. There is a stigma that goes with makeup techs, it's not a good one. You're there, they're nice to make a sale and move on with their day. This is about the gist of the thing. Not this time around. I was pleasantly greeted by Ms. Katlin Skaggs. She had an interest in me and my daughter and even shared a little about herself. That human touch can't be replaced or forgotten. I missed this. The makeup I needed was not readily available. I do eventually have to wait for my order to come in the mail BUT she did offer an alternative, educated me in how that alternative may change the look and feel but overall provide the same result, I said that I was ok with the wait. I needed this touch of humanity. This smile, I'm sure, held under the cloth of her face and was for sure under mine. We finished up and off I went. Yes, these are uncertain times and makeup techs are here, there and everywhere BUT someone showing a genuine interest in you and your happiness with your purchase is irreplaceable and downright necessary.
