I had a wedding to attend and needed a gray suit, saw the amazing reviews and they definitely lived up to their reputation. Originally I went to the Lakewood location, but apparently someone had driven a car through the store, so they were temporarily closed leading me to go to the Downey location. Parking is in the back, as well as the entrance to the store so keep that in mind. When I arrived, I was greeted by the employee who was helping another guy, but he was still able to quickly show me a few suits. I went with a nice gray suit and some Stacy Adams shoes, and it was all ready to be picked up on time before the wedding. I was in and out of the store very quickly and they were very attentive to all of my needs. Not much more to be said, I will gladly return here if I need some suits in the future. read more

Turns out that people don't use real flower boutonnieres any more ? I'm 44 years old. So if you do the math you can realize the last time I went to prom was a while ago. I ended up just doing some shopping for my friends to try to save them some time . This definitely felt like a luxury experience . They don't have a wide selection. They seem to cater more to slim structures. They have pictures of a stocky guy posted on here (by the business owner), quite misleading, considering that there was nothing of that size. If you're stocky or built like a brick, forget about it. The service and attention to detail was always on point, and I never once felt unnecessary pressure like some of the other spots I've checked out. You guys made us boys look extra GQ as promised on my wedding day!!! So, my wife and I were one of the fortunate couples to pull off our wedding earlier this year, literally right prior to the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. Before linking up w/ San's, I spent weekends calling & visiting over-priced crappy attitude suit & tux shops. I was really transparent & direct with each place, that basically I needed 15 slim-fit suits (myself, the groomsmen, dads, etc.) and wanted to stay within a reasonable budget, especially since it was also a wedding gift to all my boys. Goal: Nice enough quality suits for us to look fantastic, but also good for all of us to wear again for more than just once on wedding day. Many of the shops didn't even bother calling me back, and the ones I visited had really bad attitudes and subpar quality suits, not to mention unreasonable prices. I was at the breaking point of just settling for one of those random 3-day suit places just to get it over with, until I unexpectedly found San's Suits Outlet on Yelp, read the reviews, and decided to call them up. I set an appointment over the phone, and the rest was history! From start to finish, Shadi & Mirna made it so easy, all I had to do was tell them once what I was trying to accomplish, and they took care of the rest. Sizing & fitting accommodations for 12 adults & 3 kids, all at random dates & times was no problem at all. The follow up was superb as well, I never had to stress about it. Shadi had promised to have all the suits altered & ready a few weeks prior to the wedding, leaving ample time for us in case of any last minute fitting/adjustments - 100% promise fulfilled! We all loved our suits, and received so many nice comments from our guests that we looked damn good! I wish I didn't waste my precious time at the beginning with all those other supposed "five-star" suit shops, and having to deal with pushy & unprofessional salespeople trying to upsell me BS (especially while planning for a wedding, it's already stressful as is). Looking back, I could have saved myself the time & heartache early on had I known about San's. Honestly, Shadi & Mirna are genuinely good people, offering great quality suits & excellent service, all at very decent/reasonable prices - going above & beyond to take care of you. Came to get a suit or 2 for work, realized they had a crazy deal basically $100 a suit if I got 3. It came with shirt, socks, and even belts. I saw a shoe that I feel in love with though so had to get it. I worked with Shadi or shady.. I think he's the Manager or owner. He was very polite and respectful especially since I was a bit picky with what I wanted. He helped me with sizes and even assisted in getting me measured. Parking in the front was basically impossible, but found out that he had a parking lot in the back, I guess Ill use it when I come back next time. My boyfriend and I had the worst experience with the guy who's working today. I don't know if he's the owner or the owner's brother but as soon as we walked in he says "what do you want?" We tell him we want an alteration. My boyfriend asked him twice if "everything was good" and if he said something that might of upset him, because he was so blatantly rude, and he says "no." As we continue with the alteration process, the guy draws a line down his calf and says "alright all done." He didn't even ask my boyfriend how fitted he wanted his pants tapered or anything. We're already uncomfortable because of this guys' attitude but we ask him if he can taper the pants more.. we get no response.. just begins to add pins. Finally, we're about to leave and he says it won't be ready until Aug. 13th. THE WEDDING IS ON AUG. 13th. So we decided to take the suit and our get our alterations elsewhere. It's truly unfortunate that we had 1 terrible experience after so many great ones with a woman that works there. This 1 experience has resulted us to never come back here. She is always so nice and welcoming. She even remembers my boyfriend's name because he's been in 3 other weddings that have also purchased their groomsmen suits here. The place is nice and organized. I walked in and started looking at suits there was only one gentleman working the floor very nice. Due to it only being him he was overwhelmed by the people coming in to look for suits. After 15 min of waiting he showed me suits that were something I was looking for, except the coat was to big and the pants did not fit. This store does not mix and match to fit your size. If you have small shoulders with a big waist go elsewhere this place will be a complete waste of time. read more

So after doing my research on where to buy a suit I decided to come check out San's Suit Outlet in Downey. I read the reviews for the Lakewood location, they were extremely positive. So I decided to come check out the Downey location due to them being close to my home. I went in looking for a suit for my wedding.I was greeted by Shadi the owner, he was very kind and patient with me. He showed me several different suits. He started by showing me some more economical suits. I like that he gave me options and let me decide. He did not show me the most expensive suit first or anything like that. After seeing a couple different suits, he proceeded to show me a Dark Blue 100% Italian wool suit that I fell in love with. Once I tried it on I knew that was a suit for me. It felt soft and silky and it just felt like quality. After he proceeded to measure me for the alterations on my pants and suit so that the fit would be custom to my measurements. I prepaid my suit and he told me that my suit would be ready in 4 weeks due to it being the busy season. Forward 4 weeks later my suit was ready on the exact day that he promised. The suit was a perfect custom tailored fit. I looked it over to make sure there were no stains or defects due to shipping from the alterations. All was good Overall I had a really good experience. Thank you Shadi. You were really helpful and knowledable. You made it easy for me considering this was the first suit I have ever purchased for myself. I'm very happy and I'm looking forward to looking my best for wedding. I highly recommend everyone come here for there Suit purchases.
