I've written a review of this Macy's suit department before -- they have sold me many suits, and are the most honest, most professional folks around. So, it was an easy decision not to go with Men's Wearhouse or something similar for my wedding. I decided to pick out a three-piece Calvin Klein suit for my groomsmen and could not be happier. They got an awesome suit at an awesome price and they looked great -- at *a lower price* than a rental. In the end, I was able to get a bunch of ties, some more clothes for my rehearsal dinner, and some ties for my father in law and my father under the deal they offer for grooms. Really: this is an AMAZING deal for grooms looking for an option for their groomsmen and for a way for them to save some bucks on groomsmen gifts. More than all that though, these guys were able to get other Macys locations to honor the deal they offered me, and helped the grooms who lived in the area with fittings. In particular, Carl was awesome at being the point person in organizing our wedding party. This suit department's great service was expected given my experience there previously, but it is something that other grooms should *definitely* consider in choosing their wedding attire. :) read more

Macy's By Appointment Personal Shopping saved me tons of time and gave me a new wardrobe in just a couple of hours! I made an appointment that was convenient for me - answered some questions so that the stylist would be prepared when I got there with the right sizes and styles for me to try. DeAnn was great and was able to learn quickly from this first session and I found quite a few new outfits for both my professional and personal needs. I will definitely use her again. Over the past year I shopped this store about 6 times throughout the year. the bathroom in the lower level off the children's area is disgusting. Each time I visited one of the toilets was out of order or plugged, toilet paper all over the floor, smelling like an out house....totally disgusting...certainly not what you expect from a supposedly high end store. I don't think it is ever serviced - it is the same situation each time I visited. read more

I am writing this email due to my frustration on not getting any good response from the Macys staff at Macys Furniture Gallery - 7235 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435 I placed an order in March: for living room furniture worth $3000 with a promised delivery date of April 19. Unfortunately there is no sign of my furniture. The most frustration part is no one knows where it is. * Placed an order in March with Denise Clausen * After 1 week I called the store to conform the delivery date of April 19 as promised on the date we made purchase * A different sales manager came on phone Molley - who said it will not be delivered till May * To my surprise I called up my sales lady Denise Clausen who told me Molley was wrong and the delivery date is still April 19 * They asked me to wait for 2-3 weeks to confirm delivery date unfortunately after 2-3 weeks of wait time they still don't have any answer for me. * Today is April 18 an I still do not know when the furniture is to be delivered. I believe the Macys store made a deliberate attempt not to disclose this information and keep the customer knowingly in grey area so the customer is not able to make any decision if to keep and order or to cancel it. Macys is a big public company and have all the system needed to track and give them visibility on a purchasing order to the details of truck and container on which it sailed or was freighted. A response from sales staff at the store of "I don't know where your order is" Or "My system shows delivery date of April 19 however there is no guarantee" is simply not acceptable. Today Mat 2 they tell me it will not be delivered till end of MAY... I just cancelled the order. read more

Genuinely the worst customer service I have ever received. I don't write reviews, but after 6 attempts to get a refund for items I returned (nothing wrong with them mind you) and being brushed off, i still don't have my money back (but they do have my merchandise I purchased). Not sure how that works. I would usually chalk this up to a bad experience, but In the handful of people I talked to it seems to be a systemic problem with both Macy's and this location. Don't think I'll ever see my money again. Or the curtains I returned. read more

The store has been declining steadily...what I notice immediately upon walking in is the lack of professional salespeople in most departments (cosmetics may be an exception) and the amount of their inventory that is merely laying around on the ground? Sales associates standing around talking to each other and not picking anything up...same with dressing rooms which are from the 70's. I know I was there!! but the worst was last night I went in after 8pm and was struck by the heat...I asked someone in one department was the a/c broken and they said that every night about that time or earlier they turn off the a/c to save money!! Come on. Talk about making people wanting to just stay home and order on line they are really doing all possible to make that happen. read more

Wow. I love to see all of the terrible google search reviews about Macy's​ customer service. I have dealt with them a few times lately. I had a late payment 3 years ago due to not receiving a bill in my email-was waiting for a paper statement. I called a few months after I realized I had made a purchase and never saw a bill and I had past due bill that they had already sent to collections. They are the only bad mark on my credit score and won't do any goodwill adjustments after years of on time payments. read more

If you ever need anything in the men's department (especially dress clothes) make sure you find Daryl. This was our second time being helped by him and he's literally the best! He clearly knows what he's talking about and knows how to style men to feel awesome- my boyfriend said he wanted to take "how-to-be-cool lessons" from him. Awesome personality and incredible service. Had amazing service from Rich in the men's suits department. We went in not expecting to get any service and were completely blown away! Rich greeted us very soon after we entered the department. He looked at my husband and new immediately what would fit him. Brought us options, found clothes that needed the least amount of alterations and all at great prices. Go see Rich. the place is always crowded with clothes and people. they need more space. the way how things are setup sometimes doesn't make sense. those working there sometimes seem like they're so high class but they're normal people like us so basically, don't treat us like you're better than us. not that that's happened to me but the stares i get sure comes off that way sometimes. i like macy's because of the brand names and the things they sell but would prefer to do online shopping versus going to the store itself. read more

The most unresponsive staff, except for one lady in the third floor in the furniture department. After searching 3 floors for a SHOPPING CART, no one was there to help. I asked every single person in "customer service" stands, since I don't like walking around with things in my hands. Not a pleasant experience, left us frustrated and unhappy. read more

Worst customer service . Sales associates working on hourly not in commission are the worst . I went to return a LRG T shirt bought from the same southdale store and the sales associate I met in Nautica floor name "Hugo"has the worst ever attitude one can expect from a sales associate. Macys still employs these kinds of idiots tells the story. This guy has no interest to look into the computer to help instead told me he doesn't know how to look. I don't know how he still works. Anyway this helped me to close all my accounts. I can find the same merchandise from other retail stores. The management of this store really encourages these kinds of behavior from the associates. I Placed an online order on Macy's.com, the wrong item showed up so I shipped it back. I paid using PayPal, but instead of crediting my money back to them, I was sent a Macy's gift card, which should be illegal. I contacted Macy's customer service, which was obviously in Mexico (no offense!), and they said they would process my return. Five weeks and three requests later I still don't have my refund. They keep saying PayPal isn't responding, which is ridiculous because PayPal is a very good and responsible company. So I tried to get a hold of a customer service person in the United States, and did. After being on hold for 15 minutes a customer service person heard my issue and then suddenly I was disconnected. I always thought Macy's was a classy service oriented organization, but now I feel like I will never shop there again! If there was an option for zero stars that's what I would pick. read more

Oh my word, so I have never written a review like this but I think this needs to be said! This Macy's is horrible!! I have never been treated so bad before. I went to return a few items that I got for my kid - got home and the clothes didn't really fit so I brought them back and proceed to get YELLED at by the employee and if that wasn't bad enough her eye rolling and acting disgusted with me was the cherry on top. I kept saying this didn't work out and she was so mad and grumpy. I had used part gift card and part credit card and she won't let me put all of it back on my card since the gf covered the part I did keep!! WHAT THE HECK!! This is no way of doing business and I will not shop here again, if I have to go to Macy's I will go out of my way to another one. But I plan on not spending another dime here! read more

they do a great job in a diminishing market of old school department stores. great inventory, prices are great, good service, they have someone that can fix your watch, buy glasses from, eat a great lunch, shop at all levels and is pleasing. thank you! read more
