However, a few months before the wedding I was so overwhelmed with all the detail that Brenda offered to meet and she just helped me organized my priorities and made me feel really good about the progress I had made. She did the same 6 weeks later. OMG, so helpful to keep me going and manage the overwhelm. As the date grew nearer, she started leading more to ensure we took care of those horrible details (seating charts, signage, communication with vendors, table set ups, and the timeline, etc). At every moment she was calm, lovely, relatable, fun, reassuring, and extremely competent. The week before the wedding she came over and took ownership of all the "stuff" (candles, ceremony items, decorations, etc). That felt sooo good. She was great at the rehearsal and made sure "all the cats were herded"so we got through the rehearsal and worked out all the details. The day of the wedding? We were so relaxed and didn't think about a single thing. The tables were set exactly as we had discussed, the ambiance was amazing, every little detail she had taken care of. and then she cleaned up and stored everything for us and then brought it back to us a couple of days later. During the wedding, Brenda was a total ninja....I barely saw her at the wedding as she was in the background making it all happen so we could enjoy our guests. A guest even took a picture of her that makes her look like the super hero she is, LOL! You will LOVE working with Brenda. I cannot recommend her more vigorously. She is amazing.

From the first call, she put our anxious brains at ease and listened carefully to what weirdo vision we had in mind + what things we were most afraid of turning awry. Having never planned such a fete before, I had hella dumbass questions to lob at her, but that did not faze her at all. Not only is Cierra hypercompetent at her job and super solutions-oriented and knowledgeable, she is a plain joy to talk to and bounce ideas off of and joke around with. Just an all-round cool human that added to the overall atmosphere of love and appreciation we wanted to foster at our wedding (while also running an impeccably tight ship without breaking a sweat). ANYWAY needless to say we are major Cierra fans here and want you all to know that she is a dream collaborator for your big day, may you be so lucky!

The building was a printing press back in the day, so it's a bit of a maze but that's part of the charm. I've discovered some amazing local businesses. I recently went to their February artisan food fairs, and bought some delicious food products. They had a variety of food vendors: hot sauces, honey, dips, cookies, teas, and more. As for the craft fairs, respect jewelry, candles, cutting boards, and even a few food vendors. That's where I discovered Apisol, a woman-owned company based in the Peninsula that makes delicious sparkling honey beverages. Don't miss the vintage store on the first floor, which has really unique vintage products like postcards, buttons, posters, and more. There are so many fairs in the city, but the vendors here are ones that I haven't seen anywhere else. So check out their insta or their website for dates to their upcoming fairs.

I never heard of this place until a fellow Yelper brought this up to me and I said SFBox? I never heard or been in this location before and I am sure most of you never heard of this place either unless you search for history of the William Randolph Hearst printing press building so many years ago. The building was built in 1926 as a printing plant for the San Francisco Examiner. It is a nice mixed use building like a nice cozy maze to explore the nice layout and architecture of the old print shop. So upstairs about 2 floors and vendors are scattered so it's like a hunt for them, almost like a needle in haystack. Lol Well it's not that hard as you won't miss anyone. Too floor that where you will satisfy your sweet tooth . Yummy. The vendors that were there were a nice mix from tea, cheese, spices, India coffee , Turkish spreads, ice cream, giant cookies, healthy drinks, spreads, and I am sure you will find something you will enjoy. I don't normally buy stuff, but the honey , red beet, 2004 sweet land Bingdao $95 brick tea that is aged 21 years that can make 175 tea servings for $95, Il Fiorello basalmic vinegar was thick and smooth great texture and syrupy taste very captivating and Taste of Levant tahini and their chocolate jar of molasses was excellent and I had to buy them. Yummy in my tummy! Not sure if same vendors will be there again, so catch them the at your farmers market, festivals or next Eats event!

Being based in Seattle and planning an Indian wedding with fusion multicultural elements in Los Angeles, reaching out to a Bay Area based wedding planning team felt like a leap of faith, but we couldn't have made a better decision. We began working with Behl 10 months before our August 2025 wedding, and Anjali's expertise immediately shifted wedding planning from utter chaos into organized process. The relief I felt after our first meeting was palpable, and my confidence in the team only grew as we saw the depth of knowledge and organization they would provide. Anjali made the planning process so seamless as she helped us put words to our ideas, guided us through vendor selection (with an incredible database full of vetted selections), and kept our planning timeline on track. While I was (literally) having nightmares about absurdly high decor quotes, Anjali was already prepared with a backup plan with different vendors and idea adjustments. We chose the partial planning package, but even our vendor communication felt well-supported through regular check-in meetings where she answered any and all of our questions. As our wedding went from fleeting ideas to a concrete concept, we were introduced to Risha. Her attention to detail and promptness were so crucial (and so so appreciated) as the chaos of the wedding day loomed closer. Risha took over all the vendor communication several weeks before the wedding and became an invaluable resource to us as we had last minute thoughts and touches for our day. What really stood out to us about the planning process was how both Risha and Anjali were so proactive with the fine details! Whether it be about how the timeline should be adjusted to include a snack break inbetween baraat and ceremony or how we could set up our welcome table with all of our desired elements, they both always had creative ideas and a solution for a problem (even if it hadn't happened yet). But however impressed we already were with the team, they truly blew us away on the actual day of. There wasn't a single moment throughout the entire ceremony and reception where my (now) husband and I were stressed or concerned about anything because the Behl coordination team took care of it all. I only got to see glimpses of them in full force because they were all covering so many duties with grace and professionalism (and incredible speed - one of my highlights of the day was watching Anjali sprint from one end of the venue to the other to manage traffic around the baraat processional). They made magic happen for us, our families, and our guests. When my saree blouse zipper broke as I was supposed to be getting ready, I didn't even have the time to be stressed about it because Anjali returned with the blouse fully fixed with a new zipper within 30 minutes. My bridal attendant, Riya, helped me switch between my wedding heels and crocs no less than 1000 times during the day (while ensuring I had my lip combo on as I hydrated). Risha not only acted as our personal bodyguard during our reception so we could eat a little bit of dinner, she also somehow procured a glass of mango lassi after it was done being served for my sister, who missed cocktail hour. We had so many guests note on how smooth the event was run and particularly how incredibly kind the entire team was throughout the day, and we couldn't agree more. Their special touches took our wedding from amazing to exquisitely marvelous. We would absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

It was a total surprise, flawlessly planned and executed by the incredible team at Bash Please, and filled with exactly 40 of my favorite people. Yes, 40 people for 40 years -- how perfect is that? The setting was stunning. Bash Please somehow captured everything I love and turned it into an effortlessly beautiful, inviting, and joy-filled atmosphere. Every detail -- from the long communal tables to the coastal-inspired décor -- felt personal and thoughtful, like it was made just for me. Because it was. And the food? A crab feed feast that dreams are made of. Piles of fresh, buttery crab, warm sourdough, crisp salads, and all the fixings. The kind of meal that gets messy in the best way -- everyone cracking shells, passing platters, laughing, and making memories. It was communal, it was delicious, and it was so me. Champagne flowed, the conversations never stopped, and I felt completely surrounded by love. I genuinely can't think of a better way to ring in a new decade. Massive thanks to Bash Please for pulling off a night that was perfectly designed and truly unforgettable. I felt celebrated, cherished, and completely surprised -- and that's no easy feat. 10/10. Would turn 40 again.

First of all, Delancey Street's event manager is dynamite, and she handles everything from space rental to catering to audio/visual equipment to room set up. Among the variety of venues I could rent at their well-tended center on the Embarcadero boardwalk, I chose the spectacular Club Room. The photo on their web page shows only the balcony from the outside - wow!, you should see the view from the *inside* overlooking the San Francisco waterfront and the awesome west span of the Bay Bridge! My friends were floored by scenery as well as a most memorable sunset, with light reflecting off Yerba Buena Island. Our evening program was staffed by a host of gracious and friendly Delancey Street residents who greeted us at the gate and ushered guests up to the Club Room for the evening. The event coordinator had arranged the space so we could easily and comfortably navigate the flow of people picking up name tags, enjoying healthy cocktail food, ordering wine and beer at the bar, or visiting out on the balcony. When it was time for our formal program, the staff had set up a laptop projector and a large screen with a podium and microphone - all situated so that the guests could have clear views from seats around round tables across the room. For our party, we ordered the healthiest combination of cocktail food on the Delancey Street menu. It was delicious - and abundant. For dessert, we caved into the chocolate cake and gingerbread cake. :-) The Restaurant below had kindly agreed to make a few additional cakes for us even with only a couple day's notice, and I'm glad we did because it was so good that only a few pieces were left at the end! During our program, I had invited our event manager to say a few words about their residential center for people who have hit rock bottom and found a way to Delancey Street from a path that otherwise would have led to prison. The guests listened intently as she described their program for helping residents recover, take responsibility for their lives, learn three marketable job skills, and teach other residents around them. It was truly a teachable moment about human potential. People started to put the dots together - Oh, so you are the Delancey Street Movers, too! The spirited applause from the guests was deeply gratifying for the staff, and I was heartened to see friends approaching the residents working the party to ask them more about their experience. The Delancey Street Foundation supports itself through the many enterprises its residents operate like the movers, the Christmas tree sales, their restaurant - and the catering and space rental business. Though the party wasn't cheap to host, I don't think there is any place on the San Francisco waterfront with the same combination of easy access (BART, Muni, CalTrain, bike, and plenty of parking), healthy food prepared at a terrific restaurant, flexible and adaptive floor plans, ready A/V for music and slide shows, ample staff support, and purposeful profits - all for about $35/person for the whole evening, including tip, tax, drinks, equipment rental, staff, space, the works. When the program was over, some guests wanted to linger, so I was happy to be able to invite friends to simply join me for a drink at the Delancey Street Restaurant right down stairs - marvelous. I hope someday I get to do it all again, but in the meantime, I highly recommend taking advantage of this amazing venue and the remarkable people whose personal investment in the success of each event makes it all the more magical.
