This location might not be as big as the Macy's in the Meadows or the Galleria malls, but for the Downtown Summerlin area, it will do (it is bigger than the Fashion Show location). I should mention that Macy's is one of the few department stores from my childhood that is still around. I had my Lids online order sent to this location as it was better to save on shipping (it is either $4.99 or $5.99) and do I could do some browsing and shopping at the center (it is Locker Room by Lids here, in between the jewelry department and mens clothing- the Lids store (hats only) is in the middle of the center, no sign on the directory, as of yet, BTW). The section looks small, but it's stocked well. I checked out the Vegas Golden Knights selection which is pretty good. There were mens, womens, and childrens (listed in order of most selection, medium, and least selection). There were regular items, championship items, and Stanley Cup items. There were t-shirts- crew & v-neck, pullovers, jerseys, long-sleeves, and hats. (There were more items near the exit door in the jewelry department.) There were other sports items represented here, as well. And also a clearance rack. (We were here during the Grand Opening too, upstairs, in childrens, there was a long line for the balloon twisters. I came to buy some last minute Christmas presents and was treated very rudely. I checked online before coming since it is Christmas Eve and wanted to know how late they were open and it said that their confirmed holiday hours were 8am-7pm. I walked in at 5:59pm to grab one item and was met at the door by an employee yelling at me and my mother about how they were closed. She began to lock the doors and continued to just yell "we're closed! We're closed!" With zero explanation. I mentioned that the hours listed were 8am-7pm and she said "I don't make the schedule so I don't know why it says that but we're closed." She said she was the manager? I'm not going to say she should have served us but the treatment was by far the rudest I've ever received in my life and I was just going off the information that was listed. I used to enjoy shopping at Macy's until they ruined my credit. I missed one credit card payment because the bill never arrived and I don't pay online. By the time I realized the bill had not arrived, it was late. I paid 100% off immediately and didn't think much about it. Then about 8 months later when I went to apply for a mortgage, my credit score dropped about 50 points. It still was very good but not excellent. The credit bureau thought if I called Macy's, that they'd work with me, but Macy's wouldn't consider it. For that reason, I will never shop or step foot in Macy's again. Be careful about placing orders for pickup here! I placed an order for pickup in October and wasn't able to get to the store to get the item by the deadline. So I couple weeks go by and I realize I never got a refund confirmation via email even though the item wasn't picked up. I email Macy's about it a few times they say they'll escalate the issue and no response each time. In the midst of this the item gets marked as picked up so now I'm really concerned but they keep saying they'll escalate it. I call customer service today get the same response so I call the store to try and verify if they really believe the item was picked up or if a refund is being processed as they've told me via email. Store provides an escalations number where they tell me one of the previous escalations says the refund was denied since the item was picked up and signed for. Upsetting because obviously I didn't pick the item up and there has been no follow up each time I've reached out. Apparently short of me getting a hold of the store manager to find out who signed for my order and why an ID wasn't requested it doesn't appear anything can be done. Item was purchased via gift card so I can't even dispute the charge. I was just planning on repurchasing the item once the refund was processed. I love this Macy's!! This location is located in Summerlin with a ton of other shops and eateries. Whenever I need a formal or classy dress for a night out on the town, I always come here. I love that whenever I come to this location there is never a huge crowd and I have plenty of room to shop without being on top of another shopper. I also love how I am able to walk to other shops around and come back to Macy's once I have looked around. This Macy's have their own garage and parking lot located across the street from the store. I also like that there is a Starbuck located in this location and they also have great deals and discounts. read more

I don't get why it can take a long time to check out at Macy's. Usually, there is no one around the registers and it's maddening. I was at the shoe dept. register (buying shoes and jewelry) and a customer was being a real pain, trying to scam the cashier into a refund and who knows what else. The cashier was so patient it was crazy. I listened to this painful exchange go on and on while I tried on shoes, and she was still there working the scam when I went to check out. Luckily another employee was there to help me, and she called a manager to help with the other customer, as no end was in sight. I got 4 pairs of shoes at 75% off and the jewelry was also 75%. I really like Macy's. I could shop here on a regular basis, if my bank account could support it. I like their jewelry department, as well as Clinique. I have purchased bracelets and watches over the years. These seem to be reasonably priced. The first time that I shopped at this location, I found Frango Mints. OMG! It was just after Christmas, and I had not seen these delectable chocolate mints since the 1980s in Marshall Field's in Chicago on State Street. I had to have them. I had raved to my husband about these mints for so many years. I did a double take when I saw them. He had to agree that they were pretty amazing once he tried them. I am so happy that Macy's continued with the tradition of Frango Mints. I was recently in for some lipstick at the Clinique counter. I really like the Clinique line. I don't buy from here often, so when I do I like to shop when they are having their gift set available for when your purchase is $27 or more. Although two of the women in white coats ignored me, Cheri stepped up and was very helpful. She helped me try on a few different shades, as I explained the look in which I was interested. She treated me as though we had known each other for years, and I appreciated that. I purchased a brow powder and a dark lipstick, and I got my free gift set. I left the store in a great mood thanks to Cheri, even as I walked past the expensive shoes and Michael Kors bags. One day I will be back to purchase from those departments! read more

Very rude customer service. We don't all know your policies by heart. I ordered a dress for my daughter for pick up when we went there I wanted to see if they had a bigger size since the app said they didn't. They did. When I saw the dress it didn't look like the quality I expect from Macys. Regardless we tried it on and weren't fans. I went to cancel the order and it wouldn't let me through the app. No big deal we're already there. Goto customer service and explain... this woman was so snarky and rude. She very rudely informed me that you only had 30 min to cancel after ordering...... no other solutions. Me-can I do an x change? Or pick it up and refund it? Like what are my options here lol. She said we could do that. Ok cool. She does the refund then hands me the receipt and walks away... umm okay... I'll just go find another counter to buy these items for ... or steal them since I don't know the policies... usually I give grace for people who showed up but man she was rude as rude can get. Decent men's department although they have no tailor on duty for men's suits and couldn't recommend a local one either...disappointing. This Macy's reminds me of the one at the Fashion Show Mall. It's really nice and clean and they have all of the higher end brands. The parking is easy and the lot is huge. It's nice that you can park and just walk in, no more walking a mile to get in a store. Another big win for me with this store is that they will let you bring your dog in. They actually love it. I was shocked when I asked the girl and she said yes. All of the employees stop and say hi and give the dog a little pet. My little guy is getting old and I hate leaving him at home. Now I don't have to--Thanks Macy's. Not sure how many times a year they do their 40% off all shoes except Michael Kors and UGGS (of course). But this is a great deal. I got a couple pairs of shoes that I didn't need but who can pass up shoes at 40% off? The only problem I saw was that they seemed to be really short staffed for this sale. It was hard to get someone to get me the shoes to try on. I am sure they know that this will be a very busy time so they should have extra staff. They were also having great sales on those awesome concert shirts I got (see picture). I stopped by yesterday to return an ill-conceived Macys.com purchase. It was kind of heavy but I lugged it to housewares via he 2nd level walkway from the parking structure. (A shortcut to upstairs!) The salesperson was very helpful. I hope they don't get dinged just for an online return. As it turns out, they have a new place that handles all returns by the starbucks in the south side of the store. She took my return at the register and just let me know that "At Your Services" was there for future returns. I shop online more than in the store so I thought it was a great idea. Quick return and I don't have to run through cosmetics while holding my breath so I don't get a headache AND no access to "impulse buy" products like purses, shoes, jewelery... oh heck.. pretty much everything. read more

I feel so bad for those workers who pour their hearts into their service because the complaining ones are honestly dropping the level of prestige INSTANTLY. I went to Macy's in Downtown Summerlin to return some items I bought online. The line for customer service was long. When I got to the counter I explained that I needed to return these item. The rep didn't respond to me. She just started scanning the items. Didn't even make eye contact and didn't say anything. At the end she handed me a receipt. I asked if that amount went back to the credit card I used and she said "that's what the receipt says". So extremely rude. Then I went to shop and continued to have horrible customer service in every department I went to. I left without making any purchases due to their horrible service! I like this Macy's in Downtown Summerlin. I keep coming back for their sales and their wide variety of merchandise. This Christmas, I saved some serious cash on purchasing two coats. I purchased a Cole Haan Hooded Long Down Puffer Coat with Vestee for a present. It was normally priced at $275 and I purchased it for $110! I also purchased my own Rachel Roy Faux-Fur-Trim Hooded Parka. It was normally priced at $200 and I purchased it for $75! I used my Macy's savings pass coupon on both purchases which gave me an additional discount on separate days (Cha-Ching). Pros: Savings Pass Look online for extra coupons before you check out. You can save big when you use their coupons. Show your coupon to the associate to score the extra savings. Large Variety They have a whole lot of everything. You can get a ton of your shopping done under one roof. Their makeup deals are stellar (buy your makeup here vs. Sephora/Ulta and get a ton of freebies with their gift w/ purchase promos). They have an entire furniture store on the second level for you to browse. They have an entire section dedicated to your home. Need blankets? Need towels? They've got you covered. They even have a Starbucks on the first floor to help keep you caffeinated for your shopping spree. Shop Online/Pick Up In Store This is exactly as it sounds. You can get in and get out. They have a desk located on the first floor near the Starbucks where you can pick up your merchandise (near the Men's Department). I only used this feature to check on sizing available for the coats. I still like to try things on. I prefer looking at the physical item vs. only shopping online. Every Day Value Merchandise: EDVs are Macy's permanent markdowns for certain items. They have a ton of merchandise that is marked as EDVs that give you great bang for you buck. Their EDVs are great for wardrobe staples like a LBD or other work basics. Cons: Savings Pass The only downside is that they have a list of excluded brands like The North Face, Nike, Kate Spade, and their EDVs. Understaffed No one likes looking for a unicorn. At times, I find myself wandering the store from register to register trying to find a sales associate to help me with my purchase. On a bright note, they're helpful and friendly when I find them. Came here to buy some workout pants. Then after buying, I proceeded to shop for makeup and fragrances. Both the lady at the makeup section and the lady at the fragrance section were quite rude. Let's start off with my makeup shopping experience. As I was shopping, I stopped to look at the 50% off section by the checkout. They were selling tester items, which I thought was kind of odd and gross. Just to double check, I asked the store rep, who abruptly confirmed that those were all tester items they are selling. They were all lip products, which made it seem even more unsanitary. Needless to say, I moved on from the makeup section and did not purchase anything. I proceeded to shop for fragrances. I started smelling the perfumes, but the lady said not to put it close to my nose. There was no sign there to advise against it and it honestly makes no sense if they are selling tester makeup across the way. I was perfectly okay with spraying it on my wrist instead, since they did not have the cards to spray it on, but then she condescendingly told me to think about "all the people who put the perfume up to their nose". I left without purchasing anything. Again, if this is the store policy, please put up a sign that clearly states what is prohibited, and don't sell the testers across the way as that is 100x times more unsanitary. Wish I had taken a picture of the testers that were on sale, since I still find it hard to believe they would sell used makeup; especially one meant for lips. read more

I had the most awesome time recently at Macy's in Downtown Summerlin. I was in need of getting some new shoes and I was greeted by two wonderful people in Finish Line; Craig and Jojo. These two people were able to help me get the shoes I needed, could afford and were comfortable too. It is because of this experience that I have found new hope in this store. Macys is my go to store for most of my clothing snd household needs. Why do I go there? I go there because I can find what I need at a good price, especially during sales. I like good quality merchandise that is machine washable and can be dried in the dryer on low. The sales people are friendly, knowledgeable and are very helpful. My favorite Macys is located in Downtown Summerlin; it's a lovely, safe and relaxing shopping district, it has free covered parking garages and a great selection of places to have lunch or dinner. read more

I was looking for a replacement on a mattress that I only bought last year from Macys but it proved very disappointing. So I gave Macys the first chance and found @MAGGIE working that day. And I just have to say it was my lucky day. She could not possibly have been more helpful. She listened to my issues and made several quality recommendations. As it turned out, the very first bed she recommended is the one that I loved. But then she went above and beyond by suggesting I have my current mattress inspected to see if it was defective. Newer location but still disorganized. This store seems smaller than some of the other Macy's in town which equals less merchandise. It's also surprising to see the disorganization and things just on top of each other. Smaller spaces should be much easier to keep up with. After digging around the handbag area I definitely found a few super cute pieces of food art. Love finding random goodies that I can't say no to. Betsey Johnson is currently on fire with her handbag & jewelry lines and I've been a big fan for a long time. The store was pretty empty on a Sat evening which is surprising because ladies in Summerlin typically love to shop. Maybe this location isn't as popular as the others because it's smaller? I went in Macy's because I have a huge gift card I want to spend. I was so excited because I wanted to find shoes and a dress for my Turks trip. I walked in the shoes department looked left and right on each side there where gentlemen. No one said a single word or smiled, then I went over to grab some boots the associate stared didn't say a word walked past me 4 times never smiled. So I then walked over to women clothing passed two more associates no one said anything no smile nothing. So I passed thur cosmetics and perfume I heard someone say hello but they actually were talking to another associate. I took the escalator upstairs and walked around a little more just to see if I could find anything I wanted. No surprise a manager walked past me she didn't speak. Finally as I'm heading towards the escalator to leave I'm approached by Randy Holguin an Macys Associate I know him because he was just a extremely nice polite person when I worked with at William Sonoma. He was the only person who took time out to speak to me. He deserves a raise I know being black people assume I was there to steal something. 9 times out of 10 each of those associates and Manager that passed me made the decision I didn't have money to spend. It's upsetting that people just don't say hello or can I help u with something? It's just disappointing that the gift card I have I don't know how I'm spend it at a place that doesn't recognize that I even exist. So today, I was on my way home from running around the entire city. Since I live across the freeway from this mall, I decided I'd stop for pantyhose/tights (for a Christmas party I'm going to). First of all, if you want any cute tights, or the fun ones with bling or cute designs...or anything updated and contemporary in terms of tights/hose...don't expect to find any here!! Anyways, I found a pair of plain black tights (mashed on the wall with unlike styles and with no sort of organization or merchandising skills applied - per typical Macy's standards I guess). I found another pair since they were 2/$22 hue deal and I grabbed a pair of black leggings. So I turn to see 8 people in line at this one checkout station, then walk across the floor to another checkout station with 10 people waiting. I'm clearly standing in the middle of the aisle holding product to buy...and the lovely Aspen appears. Now, I saw her trying to fly by me without greeting or any type of extension of customer service skills. But I saw the name tag and the portable printer on her hip...I yelled after her "excuse me? can you ring me up?" Oooooh man!!! She looked like I just ran over her foot. She literally said to me (first words) "if you're paying credit. And if you want a bag, go to a register". I wanted to say "FU$& YOU ASPEN" but I didn't want to sink to her crap level. Instead, I said "yeah, credit card. I'm fine with no bag as long as nobody talks to me on my way out...as I'm holding these things in my hands." She didn't say a word. She started scanning. Asking me to "hold this like that." let her "put the sticker there". Um, no please or thank you? YOU'RE WELCOME ASPEN. She was a total B!! the whole time. Not one, thanks for helping. Or thanks for holding this. Upon printing my receipt, she literally said "receipt" while holding it out. Again, no thank you. Or come again. Or sorry we have such long lines. Or happy holidays.
