Went to Macys in Manhasset to buy a new California King Bedding set. They were very nice and had the mattress I wanted and the price was very competitive. Told the salesperson I would only buy the set if it could be delivered by Monday or Tuesday. He attempted to call two people who advised they could not budge on delivery dates. I told the salesperson tell your supervisor he looses the sale to Mattress Firm, where I will pay more but get more timely delivery. They let me leave. And that's why department stores are disappearing. Clearly everyone must feel like I do. Its not worth going to a store anymore. Service is better on line. read more

I worked there for one day after the intense training and orientation. A shame the manager has no control over the employees behavior. The things I observed were just about the worst I've ever seen in my career. I took this as a temp job as I was in between and thought it made sense for the generous discount. However the store was filthy the restrooms for the staff and the customers were so bad, I drove home at my break to use my own bathroom or I went to the one st Starbucks.. What a breath of fresh air. I am accustomed to shopping at the Herald Square (ugh) and Queens Center Mall (UGH!) Macy's and had a very different experience at this location. First of all, I doubt there were two hundred people in the entire store at the time. There was ample parking because as mentioned this store location is not crowded. I set out to accomplish a few things on my visit: 1) Return a Michael Kors bag I ordered online but did not like (DONE) - and the friendly woman helping me informed me that they were having another F&F sale the following day 2) Return one watch and exchange another. This is really what prompted me to write this review. The watch I was looking to exchange I had purchased at 25% off with a F&F coupon. The watch I wanted to exchange it for eas regular price. The lady at the counter offered to give me 25% off for the regular priced watch which she did not have to do to match the return watch discount. Yes! 3) Michael Kors slippers - size exchange from online order. They did not have the size I was looking for but the floor lady was so helpful - she checked other locations and finally ordered the correct size to be sent to my home at no shipping cost. Would come back to this Macy's again. I can't say that the selection is probably as large as Herald Square but a much nicer and less hectic shopping experience. read more

This Macy's used to be great. Now, it's kind of a dump. There's a lady with a head scarf (Michelle?) in the men's section who tried to tell me that I couldn't use a gift card to pay for part of a purchase bc she had already rang it up as a credit card purchase. Sorry, chick. I get to dictate my method of payment. Not you. She gave me attitude about it, and I gave it right back to her. The old guy at the men's dressing room also acted rude - since when do they count the pieces of clothing here? He made it sound like I was trying to storm the dressing room with my uncounted pieces. In any event, despite there being tons of minority customers here, my experience has been that the minority-workers are the most rude to fellow minorities. Terrible! read more

I ordered INC shoes and was waiting 20 minutes. Got tired of waiting and got the shoe and went to the store room. The size that we asked for they didn't even half. We waited another five minutes for a smaller size. Mother and two children passed by and the baby was crying I actually wanted to cry as well not the best experience that I've had today. This review is strictly for the bridal salon department...I received an email since I'm registered with them to get a deal on dresses/accessories. I went there looking for a veil. The woman who waited on me was somewhat helpful, however she informed me that the veil would be in the end of June at the latest. I ordered the veil in April. I was told I could borrow the sample for my fitting if my veil wasn't in yet. Three times I called to check to see if it had arrived, every time I got the same response from different associates 'it will be in any day now'. I went to borrow the sample for my fitting, they didn't have my veil to borrow...apparently it was signed out by someone else. I was never told to call and reserve it, even though I called three times prior. They did lend me the cathedral length version, which was ridiculous considering I bought a fingertip length...BUT at least they accommodated me somehow. When I returned the veil I asked if they could check the status of mine. WIthout even looking in the system, she asked when my wedding was. When I told her the date (Aug. 13th) she simply said 'oh that won't be in until the end of July, thats just how they do it here.' Funny how 3 other associates were unaware of how they do things there...not to mention if I was informed when I was purchasing the veil that it wasn't going to be in until less than a month until my wedding, I would have never purchased it in the first place. Called today since it is now three weeks until my wedding and still no word. From what I was told it just came in (what a coincidence). I'm probably premature in leaving this review considering I haven't actually picked it up yet, but needless to say if there is any issue with my veil or any problems at this stage of the planning process I will not be a very happy bride to be, and I will be going even lower on my star scale. read more

I love this location, its a hidden gem. Ample parking, helpful staff, and its very neat and easy to navigate. They have a huge makeup/fragrance section. Upstairs the juniors section is always easy to get what your looking for. Another plus, the price checkers always work. The added a starbucks right off the jewelry section, but it also has its own entrance if you dont want to go into the Macys. read more

Macy's bridal has a great selection of bridal gowns! I did not end up getting my dress here but I did try on some amazing gowns. They had very reasonable prices and the girls there were really nice! I went on labor day weekend and they were having a great sale, any dress you bought was 10% off! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because they did not allow us to take pictures of the gowns I was trying on (lame). I would still recommend the salon to friends read more

Tried paying in the women's department for my womens purchases. I went to 6 registered and each of them would not take my money. The good thing about this super department store is that you could actually find some good deals if you look. I use to shop here a lot when I was younger for my ridiculous baggy jeans and shirts and there were always deals. The dress clothing and outerwear sections are also not too bad. The jewelry department is a little scant, but again, you could find a couple of good deals that make it worth it. I have written other reviews praising other companies and I have never been compelled to write a bad review until now. I usually only write good reviews This bridal salon is an absolute disgrace. Their dresses took way longer to come in then when they said they would, not giving ample time for alternations. They only offer alterations 2 days a week for 5 hours at a time not accommodating unless you are a bride, even though you had already paid for your dress. The staff is not helpful at all. For future brides and bridesmaids, do not order your dresses from here. You will have nothing but a headache from it. I have been in several bridal parties and been to several bridal salons, and never had this kind of experience. read more

This is actually the best Macy's I've ever been to. It's always kept clean, many registers open, and the employees that work here are always happy to help. I've been to the Macy's in Douglaston and their employees definitely hate their jobs; no smile, just annoyed looks on their faces all the time. I also love the fact that this Macy's has a Starbucks, that's a HUGE plus for anyone that needs a caffeine fix. I prefer this location over the countless other locations I've been to. read more

Very disappointing experience at this Macy's. We walked in and there was a foundation I wanted to try. No one was at the counter and no one offered to help so i color matched myself. I wanted a sample so I could try it out and since there was no one at the Bobbi Brown counter I asked a lady who worked for the Estée Lauder counter. She said because that was the last tester they had she was unable to give me a sample. It was a tester... and it had plenty of product. I'm pretty sure that's the point of a tester for people to try it. And then she told me to come back another day. It was very ridiculous and being that I also work at a makeup counter I would never give anyone that type of customer service. read more

Great store however I had two short, rude experiences with employees. A Woman named Nota was extremely rude and put her hand in my face to tell me that I can't ask her a question. With customer service this bad I don't see how customers would bother asking for any assistance. At the end of my transaction I was told "you're done.." Even jcpenny tells me to have a nice day!! My problem with Macy's was not in the store. We ordered a mattress and full box spring. It was delivered mid-June. We were informed by Macy's that they would come between 8 and 10. They did not deliver until 6:00 The full box spring is too high - not their fault. I want to make an exchange of the full box spring for a half. Exchange will cost $120. The scheduled return/delivery was for July 7 - informed in afternoon that truck broke down. Rescheduled to have it returned/delivered 7/14 now told that it was never scheduled for that day but for 7/21. I would not have made it for that day. When they call me back today to say that they cannot bring it tomorrow (7/14) I plan on telling them to take the mattress and box spring back, I'll take my business somewhere else. Someone by the name of DARRYL WATSONN made fraudulent online purchases with my Macy's card at this Macy's store, he maxed out my account and added his name as a secondary person to go pick up the items and their employees gave him the items with no problem on 7/22/18. I called and spoke with their online pickup Manager and supposedly they do ask for id's, yeah really? I told her that I live in California a completely different state from New York how could this had happened?? What kind of policy do they have that anyone can just add their name show up and pick up the items with no problem... Macy's needs to change their online pick up policy because I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only victim or the last... ONLY the account holders should be able to pick their orders... Extremely rude employees. Beauty department would not leave me alone when I told them I just wanted to browse the fragrances on my own. All 10 of them continued to hover over me; I had to walk away when I got so frustrated that I couldn't just shop in peace. They then had the audacity to start laughing as I left. So rude and unprofessional! Coat department wasn't any better. The lines weren't even long but I had to wait an extremely long time to get to a cashier because they were all moving like sloths. The tall dark guy couldn't understand the simple task of finding a size medium coat, rather than the medium petite that I was holding. He said that it would be impossible to do that... um really? The shorter guy I spoke to right after came to the rescue and got me my coat in the right size from the back. When he asked the tall guy why he couldn't do that, the tall guy threw an immature fit, loudly muttering some Gibberish, leaving both of us stunned. A great deal of the staff here has very childish behavior. read more

The MAC counter was a disgusting mess today. There was open makeup left everywhere and no where to rest anything. There were no wipes or any makeup remover available even when asked . Salesgirl said they had no wipes or makeup remover - not even to sell. Try testing ten red lipsticks using only dry tissues to remove it from ur face- a mess and super irritating- literally. I went here to pick up a winter jacket and they had a great selection of coats and jackets especially the north face brand huge selection and the staff there was friendly as well they helped me with discounts on the jacket I wanted. I bought two new mattresses at the Manhasset store. While the salesman was extremely helpful the subsequent salesman who wrote up the order took $25 to remove our existing mattresses ,Bedframe for one mattress. We were extremely surprised to find that the delivery men insisted that removing the mattress frame was not included in the $25. They told us it was our responsibility to dispose of the bedframe. Extremely disappointing, stressful and unexpected. If he had explained it we would have made arrangements to dispose of the frame before hand. The delivery men were extremely competent, professional and helpful. read more
