The women's department does not carry women's sizes anymore. The two sales clerks were really snotty about it when I asked them. I asked two older ladies in the women's department on the second floor in the Macys at Fashion Place Mall, Salt Lake City. I won't go back there again. There weren't very many shoppers there either. So dumb since a lot of women do wear women's sizes especially in Utah. read more

This Macy's department store is located inside fashion place mall on the north end side. Easy to get in and out of. We love the jewelry department as they carry Effy jewelry which my family and I love. Janice always helps me and my mom out when we are just looking or ready to splurge and make a big purchase. The make up selection is nice and not as picked over so they have colors in stock. Shoe department is fun and sometimes you can find some cute clothes. Men's department has fashion forward trends that I'm quite surprised they carry but I love it! They also have home furnishings so I buy all my towels and sheets from here as it's good quality and will last you longer. If you have a Macy's card, use it because sometimes you get extra discounts. Seems like they are always having a sale. Great affordable department store. read more

Customer service associate helped me locate what I was looking for and find the right size

It's a huge beautiful store. It's small dog friendly. That's a requirement for us. On the way in, we met a sales associate that was very nice, and I suspect is one of those rare helpful kind. We made it upstairs to look at what my wife was looking for. We were the only shoppers in the department. It was just after opening, and COVID is likely keeping things slower. There was three associates standing at the register 20 feet away. One gave a perfunctory stop by to see things were "ok" somewhere 5-10 minutes after we started to shop. We've found customer service is not a strong suite for Macy's over the last few years. Normally, we shop Nordstrom's, but in this case Macy's had a better selection of what we were looking for. We found it, bought it, and left. As we left we both knew why we normally shop Nordstrom's. Yup, I'm old school. I'm willing to pay a few shekels for quality service and advice from a good store. Macy's is not that store, although the store itself is very nice. read more

This Macy's fees like a JC Penny. The cheapest lines carried by Macy's are here in small amounts. The Women's section is lame. The stock seems geared toward the 60+ crowd that is looking for a snappy shirt to wear while canning at home....or in some Other private location. Who is buying the stock here? The misses and ladies sections also looked like the clothes were for someone to wear under a long modesty robe, in a cave, or while pickin' in the garden. read more

A smaller Macy's than I've been in. I went in to buy some Estee Lauder eye brow gel. They didn't have any in stock, and the computer said none of the stores in the valley had any. I could order it and have it delivered but decided to get a different brand. It's a little costly at $25 for eyebrow gel. read more

I really love coming to this nail salon. They have provided really friendly service and done a wonderful job for me and family.

I visited this new location a few weeks ago. Nice, but underwhelming. Only two levels with much less merchandise than at their former Cottonwood location. The men's suit jackets on display were ridiculous. Reminded me of 1970's disco clothes. Is that really their market?! Another thing I noticed was awful customer service. Several employees in jewelry ignored us both times I've been here recently. I ended up taking jewelry upstairs to the International Concepts (INC) department where there was actually an employee at the register who was interested in helping customers. Tina was friendly and able to give me the best prices both times I was in her department. Macy's has constant sales but I usually don't have the paper coupons with me; Tina was able to apply discounts anyway. Yay! I wandered around housewares and several other department without ONE employee offering assistance. The jewelry department women turned their backs and were busy on computers instead of helping customers even though there several of us around. Nicole, who I found out later is the store manager, was amazing. She asked how she could help me and actually got items I previously bought on sale but couldn't pick up until later, and had them at the INC register for me. Thankful for her and Tina. read more

This Macy's always disappoints! Had I not been looking specifically for a plus size Minnie Mouse shirt, which I knew they had, I would have never gone in. First - their plus size section is one square carpet area (pad?) and the smallest and if you ask why they will humiliate you with a response similar to "there just aren't many plus size women around here". Second - today we had to go on a hunt upstairs then downstairs to find an employee who could check us out and then things weren't ringing up right. They have so little staff on hand it is impossible to get help finishing an item or even checking out (apparently). I do love some of their brands and so do recommend their downtown location. read more

Watching a manager walk into a department and start threatening employees as they are helping you pick out a suit isn't good for business. Who ever the manager of the men's department is at this location (fizzy hair about shoulder length with no name tag on) really needs to realize when someone being helped by an associate and not chose that time to verbally berate them. Then when the other two women joined in and stood in the department complaining as I'm trying to shop isn't very professional. They all loioked upper management, in just disappointed in the way they treat there employees while they are trying to help customers and then to have three of them standing there bitching about employees isn't a good vibe. No wonder Macy's is struggling read more

I am not happy with Macy's Furniture and Mattress delivery service. Dec. 1 they delivered wrong brand mattress. They rescheduled Dec. 15 to swap it out. I live in 2 places in 2 states and had to come back to do this. I get notified that day that it had to be again rescheduled to Dec. 20. I flew back again for this delivery. I get notified that day that it had to be rescheduled to Dec. 24. I flew back again to for this day and got notified Dec 23 that it has to be rescheduled Dec. 28! My guest are coming today and I don't have the right mattress! I don't have deep enough pocket sheets for the wrong mattress and we hate pillow top mattresses. The excuse is they don't have a driver in the area which is only 12 miles north of SLC! Unacceptable! I hope they aren't going to turn into a Sears and go out of business because of this kind of treatment to customers who have been inconvenienced! I should of been top priority for wrong delivery before anyone else! read more

Went in to get a new pair of khaki pants for work. They had merchandise all over the floor and the floors were dirty and looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. Once I finally was able to find a pair in my size that worked, the employees seemed offended that I was interrupting their personal conversation to check out. i went to Macy's looking for a dress and the one i liked had some makeup stains on it. that was the only one in my size so i decided to buy it and i would try and get the makeup off myself. i went up to the counter and the lady working was very rude. she was saying how the dress was "damaged" therefore she couldn't sell it to me. so then why was the dress out in the store if you weren't allowed to buy it? she was very rude about it. she was saying that there was "probably more stains and problems on the inside." i had tried the dress on and there was nothing on it besides the small circles of foundation on the outside. so she said "i cant even sell this to you" multiple times so i told her it was fine and as i was walking away she straight up said "just breathe!" then i went to look for another dress. i found another one that was cute, so i went to pay for it and she said she "liked this one way better anyway." she was very rude and passive aggressive with everything she was saying. i ended up ordering the first dress that i wanted online. but that lady wasn't very nice and she brought my mood down. read more

I bought a bed for my daughter just a couple days under two months ago. They set a delivery date for almost a month later, which was disappointing, but understandable since it was being shipped from another location. On the day of the promised delivery date I received an email that said they were sorry for the inconvenience but they couldn't deliver it yet, since they didn't have it yet. Frustrated at this point, but I was still pretty patient. Finally a week or so later I received a phone call to schedule delivery AGAIN since they had it in hand, but it would be another almost two weeks before they had a slot open. As you can imagine, my patience is waning, but I was still just going to go with it. On the scheduled day of delivery I stayed home from work to be there when the arrived; the day continued on, and they never showed. I finally got an email saying they were, once again, sorry, but they couldn't make it; they'd come tomorrow night . Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE. I called customer service when they opened the next day, since I couldn't be home that night, and was told that they were sorry but there was nothing they could do. And since I was the one canceling the time, they had no idea when they could fit me in. At this point I was LIVID. They claim that there is no way for them to talk to the delivery warehouse, and that the best they can do is leave a message for them to call me---- sometime in the next 24 hours. Now 48 hours has passed, and no call! So I break down and call them once again. I was informed that my delivery has already been made and that my order has been marked as complete! WHAT... THE... CRAP?! I have not received any kind of delivery. Now, after being on hold for an hour, and speaking to a supervisor, once again I have to wait 24 hours for the warehouse to call me. I can literally make a bed faster than this, and you had better believe next time I will. I have never had such a horrible experience with any company in my life, and I will never shop at Macy's again. read more

Do NOT order furniture from Macy's! I ordered furniture in January knowing it would take up to 2 months. Received it in March - something was wrong with all 5 pieces. Reordered it. Thought they'd have to do better the second time, right? Received the new furniture about 2 months later. It was worse than the first time. One cushion had piping on it - a totally different style than the others. Plus there were scrub marks on the corners. Decided to return it. They WERE supposed to be here on Tuesday (10/12). I got the notification that they were coming in the morning. Around noon I called customer service. After being on hold for over an hour (they'd check in every once in a while to "update" me) the supervisor said the delivery company wasn't answering their phone calls. He sent an email and told that he would call me back and let me know what was going on. Well, he never called back. Called today and the soonest they can pick up my defective furniture is 10/26. I have new furniture waiting to be delivered. I just want this out of my house and never have to speak to anyone at Macy's again. read more

I went in to exchange a pair of pants that were given to me as a gift. Mason went above and beyond, with patience and willingness, to help find the pants I needed, which ended up being in a loading dock that was not yet on the floor yet. He was so helpful is making sure I got the size I needed and was so happy to help!
