Do you have a work truck? Can you operate heavy machinery? Do you spend more of your work day outside than in the A/C? If any of these things apply to you, you're probably a Carhartt type of guy. Carhartt seems to have a religious following in the working man's community and rightly so due to the extreme ruggedness of the clothing. This is the only full line Carhartt store in all of Utah. Usually if I've wanted to buy any of their stuff I've had to go to IFA or a Cal Ranch store where they'll have a few of their more popular items. This store is all Carhartt all the time. They have their normal workwear favorites such as the t-shirts, pants, overalls and jackets and in addition they also have some more fashionable Carhartt clothing. There's seriously a lot of stuff in this store, more than you'd ever expect if you previously just thought of Carhartt as something your contractor wore. The pricing at the store is full retail. They seem to have the occasional sale on clearance items but expect to pay full Carhartt retail on the items. If you're looking for cheaper you're probably best to go to other stores that sell it, but of course you'll lose the selection. The only thing I can offer regarding the clothes is that its absolutely necessary to try on every thing you're buying there. I find its way to easy to get something that doesn't fit right from the brand. Its work-wear, so its cut full plus some. I like to think there's a lot of L and XL working men that might be surprised to know they're really XL and XXL when not wearing Carhartt. I wear a Large normally and most of their Medium fits best without being too tight, loose or long. And most of it is 100% cotton, so expect it to shrink an inch all the way around. The return policy is good, I've only returned to the store once with the receipt and tags on. I read the paperwork and it sounded like you could return just about anything with the receipt but talking to the cashier made me hesitant to think I read it correctly. I know some of you are reading this and thinking I'm not the target demographic for the brand, but I enjoy quality rugged clothes and there's really no better man cave to buy it in than The Carhartt Store. read more

I purchased some pants and sweaters for work and when I paid I was offered rewards points for my purchase if I set up an account. I noticed the cashier didn't seem to focused on making sure my info was correct but I assumed he must have gotten it. The next day I figured I could go buy some boots and coveralls and use my points. Turns out they screwed up my info so I had no points. I asked if they could put my new purchase on my account for points and they said they couldn't and asked me to call customer service to sort things out. I have called customer service 6 times and I have sent them my receipts and they haven't been able to help me yet. Second issue they had 20 pairs of tiny coveralls and 10 more pairs of tiny coveralls in the back. They had 15 pairs of huge coveralls but they did not have any that fit regular size guys. I went back at a later date and still only tiny or giant coveralls. They didnt restock because they already had 40 pairs of coveralls that don't fit anybody. That store only caters to the yuppies that like carhartt now because it's trendy. Half the clothing items there are now fashion items not workwear. If you want carhartt workwear just get it from Cal Ranch or IFA. read more

Wow! I can't believe the reviews I saw! I was super impressed by the customer service! First time in, recommended by my company to get some hefty pants here. CSR greeted me right away, got me right to what I needed, even enjoyed my "fashion show." Asked her on how they looked, how they fit. It felt like she was already a friend. I ordered 6 shirts on carhartt.com They were not delivered. UPS says they were, but I have no record on my phone of the Intercom being used so I could open the door for them. Carhartt is refusing to re-ship or refund my order. They say they were delivered, but there is no signature verification. I am having to protest the charge with PayPal in order to get my payment returned to me. I would NOT do business with this vendor. Great products. Lousy service. read more

I hate to use the term but it is kind of a "Man cave", its decorated with alot of old industrial metal items. Old metal welding benches for displaying clothes and old parts bins and engine blocks it was like walking onto the set of top gear. I'm a big fan of the ugly acorn colored work wear, this store is probably a little more pricey than you can find the same items if you went to cal- ranch or IFA but it's all under one roof. The only thing missing is the decent selection of work boots they just have maybe five styles to choose from and none of them beefy , tuff or even insulated like the Carhartt boots I've seen elsewhere.. read more

How did this company find its employees? Worst customer service ever. I sat on the back couch by the pool table while the 2 employees folded clothes. As people walked in, they took there time greeting them and never asked one person if they needed help finding anything. They just went back to chatting and folding. I mean what if somebody shoplifted? They would never know it. When the dude noticed me observing them he asked me if my bf needed help in there. I told him that maybe he should go ask him. He just smiled and didnt know what to do and continued folding. When my bf did come out of the dressing room to go to the cashier to pay, he wanted to see if another store had a jacket in his size and the female employee literally told us to search online, awesome. First of all im not in to the trendy "construction" clothing they offer. I think its hideous and ranks up there with affliction and Timberland back in the eighties. Second of all this crap is not cheap. Maybe they think they are dealing with rough neck worker guys so no customer service but I recommend taking a lesson from Nordstroms across the street and learn how to value your customers, I guarantee your sales will increase by 75%. read more

Carhartt is one of my all time favorite clothing brands and is my go-to outdoor clothing (especially for women's vests!). Being from a small rural town, I rarely have access to an actual store front so I was so excited to pass this store on my trip in SLC, but my experience at this store was nothing close to exceptional. I walked in to two of the three employees having a conversation, walked right by both of them and smiled. Neither said a word or even acknowledged my presence. I stood near them looking for a pair or two of warm socks for my next camping adventure for probably 10 minutes going back and forth between a few options, neither asked how I was doing or if they could help. I continued to walk around the store for another 20 minutes looking at men's items and a few other women's and not one employee said a word to me. There was one other customer being rung up by the third employee, but other than that the store was dead. Super disappointing to walk in expecting the same great Carhartt service I get from your clothing and feeling like no one cared I stopped in or wanted to stop a personal conversation to say even a quick hello. Needless to say I left without buying a thing and will go back to my online shopping or supporting my local farm store. read more

I order some items from the manager Paul. The store called be about a week later and said they were in. I went down the following Saturday and only about half of what I ordered was there. I asked the person that was there about it so he looked on the computer to see what happened. It said some items were no longer made or not in tall. I paid for what was there and left. A week later I got another call saying my order was in. I told them what happened then asked to speak to the manager was transferred. The person that answered was the asst. manager. I explained what happened and she didn't know. I asked to have the manager, Paul, call me. He called back and he told me about the mix up and got everything fixed. Well i have had mixed feelings about Carhartt. I bought a pair of pants that I was told would be fine for my line of work. They ripped and the manager took care of me. She showed me some shirts that I decided to but later on in the day. Came back to buy a few and a sweater for my Fiancé. (Plus anything else I could talk Mr lady into.) when we came in, we where not greeted. Then was given attitude when we both went to the changing room. I'm a bigger guy and don't like people seeing me and I wanted my fiancé's input. I get it. Not mad about that. Upset with the attitude and not being greeted. The girl then came back with more attitude and asking if we needed any help. It was NOT a friendly question. I did drop some paper from the shirt I was trying on and she came up and grabbed it all loud well huffing under her breath. This attitude stopped me from purchasing any of the items I had came for. I'm really bothered that I waisted my time coming to this store to be treated so poorly. The manager in the morning is the only reason why I didn't do a 1 star. (Murray UT) read more

A big thumbs up for this store and the product. Carhartt is generally expensive , but, it is very well made and lasts longer than any brand out there. I just wish that the assistant manager was better equiped to talk to people, she is very short sighted, and does not really have any answers for you. she seemed very put out when asked for help, I would never want her as an employee at my company.... the other employees however are terrific, i would shop there everyday as long as the ass. manager wasnt there!!!! read more
