I was seeking some special pieces of furniture. I chose to come here to see what they had on Black Friday. I really didnt see much I was interested in. There is Macy's Furniture and Macy's regular store at this mall. Walking in I was never greeted nor spoken to by any associate I walked pass while browsing the furniture selection and their household goods (comforters, bathroom and other decor that is in here). I get a lot of my gifts for people from Macy's! I absolutely love the Unwritten jewelry line they carry and the wide variety of great perfumes. The Unwritten line is affordable and meaningful which adds such a personal touch to their jewelry. I was in there yesterday to get some Marc Jacob's perfume for a gift but they unfortunately didn't have the size I was looking for. Melissa and Manoli didn't hesitate to present and help me decide on another option. Macy's is having a friends and family sale that ends tomorrow 6/9 so it made sense to purchase a bigger size for a small price difference with the discount applied. Manoli was wonderful in helping me find a fragrance I was looking for by YSL and put me on to new perfume by Burberry (Her Intense) which smells amazing! What topped it all off is that Melissa also tossed in a free Marc Jacob's bag that was such a nice gesture! read more

So, my mom ordered slippers for my nephew, and they sent her boater shoes, we went to return them and because they sent a shoe that was in no way like the ones she ordered, they couldn't immediately return them, instead they gave her a voucher receipt, and said she'd receive something in the mail, that was December 23rd, still waiting. She got me Nike slides for Christmas, they were a size too small so I drove 45 minutes to return them, they wouldn't return them without the original receipt. First the girl tried to say they were obviously worn, I asked her where, they were too small, i literally had only tried them on! She got an attitude when I proved her wrong, and said since they're purchased online, I have to return them online, or with a receipt. She would not take the screen shot of the purchase confirmation or anything Macys sent us! Now, a day later, I find out they are supposed to take that! Now I gotta drive 45 minutes back there! Also, when we returned the other shoes on the 23rd, I noticed just how expensive they are! U can get the same stuff from Nike, or champion for more the half the price! read more

I came here yesterday looking for a new winter coat and I lucked out finding a great Kenneth Cole for $85. The store is kind of a cluster fuck. There were clothes thrown all over the place so it took me some time to navigate. Customer service was basically non-existent. I'm glad there was someone working the register as many times there aren't. This definitely isn't the best Macy's I have ever been to but it served its cause. read more

Went to this location to do a return only to find out that the "system" was down for returns ... Second issue --2 days later I was trying to get an actual person on the phone who could tell me if the "system" was up and working again before I wasted another trip and time..,all phones calls to every dept went unanswered and I finally had to call the executive office and was greeted by a rude woman..who only answer was "I dunno" ‍when I asked her a question and then she PRETENDED to transfer me to another dept but of course I got conveniently hung up on ...and when I tried calling this oh so wonderful person back it went to a recording or dial tone ..I finally had to call curbside pick up in order to speak to someone and was told with uncertainty that the return system PROBABLY is ok now What happened to the good ole customer service skills training?!? read more

The cleanliness of this Macy's store is horrible. The trash cans at the entrance are frequently overflowing. Clothes often are on the floor like a bargain basement. To that end, I no longer physically go inside this location, opting to patronize Christiana or order online. The up side is the curb side pick up is very efficient. I've had 2 occasions where Miss Margaret has been the representative. She is very courteous and professional. read more

Went in Macy's Home Dept. to see what Christmas accessories and decorations they had only to be very sadly disappointed. They used to have this lovely section that was nothing but Christmas and would only be open when the Christmas items were on display. Unfortunately, they got rid of that years ago and their Christmas selection has been dwindling ever since. Now it's nothing more than a measly couple of trees and cheaply made ornaments and decorations. A complete disappointment and let down after the quality that they used to offer and display. The furniture however is lovely and options are plentiful. Completely different story from the seasonal shops that they offer. Unfortunately, I won't be bothering to come back in because the one thing that I truly enjoyed they've destroyed. read more

Customer service, common courtesy and kindness are severely lacking at the White Marsh Macy's location. My family and I have shopped with Macy's for years. Macy's has a selection for just about all your needs at different price ranges. The have housewares, luggage, men clothing, children clothing, women clothing, dog clothing (from time to time), fragrance counter, make-up counter, purse counter, shoes, jewelry and even a eye center now! Yes with all this going on you may ask why the three stars. Well this Macy's has given me some fond great memories and some very tragic memories. There is a lady at the vision center that is just simply the best and there is a lady on the sales floor normally I see her in men's that is just a nightmare. Why can't we have the pleasant people that aren't judge mental at stores again. I literally came in on time to purchase some men's clothing for my significant other and I had my Macy's card but I somehow misplace my Drivers license but I had my passport and my Military ID on me. As protacall the are acceptable forms of ID to validate the name on my Macy's card well she told me her own words "why would I try and steal someone's information to charge it up she can't accept my forms of ID and I will have to pay another way....say what. She was loud and all about it. So long story short I called the Macy's line while I was there and had it on speaker while the representative was speaking and guess what they stated to her they accept my forms of ID. No I didn't receive a apology from her but another employee witness what happened and asked me to come to her register and explained to me what I can do to report the situation. So after that I did have a bit of a sore taste for this location but there truly are some kind employees at this location. There is constantly clearance in each department which I would tell you to keep an eye out for. read more

Not a bad place to shop as long as there is a sale going on. I wish Macy's would stop with the 'everything is on sale' or '20% off today' nonsense and just have a lower normal price. If something is not 'on sale' the price is just super inflated and you will have to wait another week or so until it goes on sale again. Aside from that, the people are usually pretty friendly and helpful. Lines can be a pain at times though, because they do not have enough staff out to cover their registers. A lot of times in the Men's area there might be 1 register open on the whole floor. Still better than J.C. Penneys though. read more

Horrible, frustrating, confusing, ridiculous, annoying, hideous, awful, and just plain the pits. If I could think of more negative adjectives, I'd use them... We went for on line pickup. We flagged down an employee upon entering to find out where to go and were briskly pointed to a service center where there was a long line and people were buying and exchanging huge amounts of clothing. I went up and interrupted the sales lady to ask if there was any other place where we could pick up an online order and she said "no, this is the only place" We waited 20 plus minutes and when we FINALLY got to the checkout the woman said "oh, you need to go to online pickup in the other building." I understand now how people go on rage based rampages. In addition the woman was rude and condescending-not one word of an apology. NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! read more

Came to the mac counter in Macy's Whitemarsh only to find out that they didn't "HAVE MY COLOR" The shade of colors seemed to be on the light to white side. When asked if they were sold out or not in stock. Did not get a clear answer. She just coughed and walked off. In summary, a waste of time and bad customer service. read more

Me and my mom went to Macy's to go to the Mac Cosmetics counter. Upon arriving we had to wait like two minutes which is something I am used to on a busy Saturday at the mall. My mother wanted to get matched up so she could buy some Mac foundation and bronzer. We had an make-up artist by the name of Alicia who was excellent with customer service. I don't typically go to the Mac stands in Macy's and Nordstroms because I can only use my Mac Pro card at the store. Alicia was very patient. She was pregnant, but she had a great attitude and was very patient. My mother asked her a million questions in regards to make-up but she answered all of them at the best of her ability without getting an attitude. She gave us her full attention and never walked away from us like how most of the artists and sales associates do. She even went above and beyond and did my mother whole face. read more

I used to buy almost all of my "plus size" clothing at Macy's. There was always a good selection and they even had some "trendy" plus sizes as well as INC brand in plus size. The department was on the second floor. I went to Macy's a couple of weeks ago to find the plus departement has been moved to the first floor and pretty much squeezed into an area between 2 other departments. The selection was HORRIBLE, not clearly marked exactly where the department started and ended, lots of regular sizes mixed in. I suppose Macy's is not interested in plus size customers and since that is the only thing I purchased there, I'm finished with Macy's. read more

I was shockingly disappointed in this Macy's at White Marsh Mall. It has the usual really good selection of clothes, makeup, fragrances and all of the items that you would expect to see at a high-end department store, but two things stood out at this location that weren't very good. - There are NO high-end brand names in the housewares department!!! No Le Creuset, no All-Clad, nothing but Martha Stewart and other lower-end brands. The "best" brand that they had available was Calphalon - which is fine, really it is, but if you're LOOKING for a Le Creuset Dutch oven.... that's what you want. Not Martha Stewart appliances. Seriously? I would EXPECT Macy's to have these brands available at EVERY location. Is this not supposed to be a "better" department store? - The housewares section is detached from the rest of Macy's, about half a mile walk from the clothes section. What...the....hell? How much sense does that make? I had to go by six hundred other stores before I could find what I was looking for. And then... see above, I didn't even FIND it! Wow. Next time I'm either going to order from Macy's online or go to the Towson location - at least they HAVE Le Creuset there. Sheesh! read more

I mostly shop online and this is where I do returns. They have a decent men's section but it caters to lower-end brands. Rarely am I able to exchange an item that I bought online here-always a return and reorder. Not much northface, ben Sherman, Lacoste, Boss etc. to choose from. very limited. It's close, clean and friendly sales people. But I do love Macy's sales. Can't go wrong with coupons. read more

I love this store. I have been shopping at this Macy's for over 10 years. It's never really packed and they always have a good selection. I love the brand International Concepts for men. The clothes are very eclectic and fun. They always have sales going on and a wide selection of clearance and last. All clothing. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! The sales representatives at the Macy's furniture department at the White Marsh Mall are extremely professional and their prices are excellent. My current family room furniture was purchased from Hecht's (prior to being purchased by Macy's) and I was glad to find that they still carried the same line. We recently purchased a very large sectional and sofa for approximately $2600.00 and the sales representative was very helpful and knowledgeble about their products. Their delivery service is extremely thorough and utilizes both emails and calls to confirm the delivery date/time. I will definitely be back to Macy's in the future to furnish other rooms in my home! As for the other reviewer looking for Le Creuset in Macy's, high end ceramic cookware is not something I would expect to find in a big box department store. I own several pieces of Le Cresuet and purchased them at specialty cookware retailers. read more

Bought some clothes for my grandson tonight and the cashier was not nice, needed help desperately and when one of her coworkers came to her and offered her help (she had a very long line) she declined!!! I think her name was Diane. I still can't figure out why she didn't accept his help. It caused us customers to wait in line forever. She was upstairs near the children's department. I shopped the entire second floor (women's clothing), jewelry, and most all the men's clothing today. There were two ladies working in the men's department who were very helpful. I found a pair of shorts, on sale, exactly what I was looking for, and the right size!!! There were a ton of sale racks, too. The women's floor was full of sale racks and new Fall merchandise. It was pretty well organized. The two dressing rooms I used were in need of attention: lots of clothing needed to be put away, and it was due an updating. The jewelry department also had lots of sale stuff. I bought 3 pairs of Betsey Johnson earrings - on sale! The woman working there was very nice, but I only saw her when I needed to check out. This shopping trip was successful. On January 2 I went to the Macy's store and ordered a Sectional and 2 armchairs. The sales rep was awesome. She gave me the tentative delivery date of March 16, 2021. She told me that I could get rid of my current furniture the week before. So I disposed of my current furniture on March 12, 2021. I had been calling Macy's customer service line all week asking for delivery details. I was never given any indication that there was an issue. I didn't hear anything from Macy's until March 24, 2021. I received an email telling me that my furniture was delayed until April 14, 2021, due to Covid. I was furious. I called and canceled my order. Later that day when I calmed down I called back, I spoke to a nice representative who assured me that there was a slight delay in the furniture. She resubmitted my order with a small discount. When I got the order email the delivery date was June 25, 2021. Today I called to check the status and was given a new date of July 25. This is ridiculous and they should stop selling furniture if they can't deliver. read more

I love this Macy's in White Marsh. I often beeline for the Carols Daughter counter but when time and funds permit, I shop their great selections. I have never experienced long lines or rude customer service. I love love love the sales and the sale selections, especially in the shoe department. I LOVE Whitemarsh Macy's. It may not be the fanciest Macy's in the Baltimore metro area but it's great for semi-formal clothing and of course, everyday wear. It's also near to a lot of speciality stores inside and outside of the mall--what I refer to as one-area shopping. My mother-in-law introduced me to the store (and some of its associates who work in women's clothing) about 15 years ago. Yes, she's so much the frequent shopper that she's on a first-name basis with some of the Macy's employees! I impressed by the Macy's associates 15 years ago (before Macy's started mass marketing) and I remained impressed to this day. They actually help me find the cheapest deals for whatever I'm looking for, giving me tips about upcoming sales, etc. The only reason I didn't give this Macy's 5 stars is because their designer and formal selections are somewhat limited. This is to be expected--like other department stores, Macy's tailors it's selection to the surrounding population (duh, marketing 101). If you want a larger designer or formal wear selection go to a Macy's that's located in an area with an even higher tax base. As for me, I like to spend my hard-earned money at stores where I know I'll be treated well and taken good care of. I'm so loyal, I'll window shop at another Macy's (if it's convenient) but order and buy the dress at MY Macy's store--White Marsh Mall. ;-) read more
