I purchased a juicy couture watch here 3 years ago. I was convinced to buy da warranty. I was told that they will provide Lifetime Battery Replacement. I was like "that's great". One year later, my watch just stop from working. I had to take in for them to look at it n I encountered da same lady who sold me da watch. I mentioned bout da Lifetime battery replacement and she said only 5 years. OKAY! It only took them I would say less than 1 week to fix my watch. So it's only been a year, then I had to take it AGAIN. The lady took da watch out of da box n hold it along with bunch of receipts (including my original receipt). It's 5 years warranty, RIGHT? She said only 3 years then another lady came in ensured it's 5 years. (Oh men! First, I thought it was lifetime, then it went down to 5 years then 3 years) Take it to lady on da purse section. Lady waived at me to go there. From da time I got there, she handed me back my watch along with bunch of receipts coz she gotta helped someone lookin at a designer wallet. It only took a minute or two, then we went back to da watch section. Handed me back my original receipt coz she don't need it. While entering in da computer, she needed a help from a male associate then finally got my new receipt. The service here is very bad and I will never come back here , this lady named Michelle, who worked at the ESTEE LAUDER place, made me wait 45 minutes just so I could pick up a cream that I had ordered the day previous. Basically, I had told her that I had preordered a cream and I was here to pick it up, she then told me to wait. I waited for 40 minutes max for her to come back. The whole I was waiting, I was getting so mad. This lady was now serving another customer even though I had came to her first. Then when she came back, she did not even apologize to me about taking so long, instead when I told her i didn't want the cream, she gave me a mean look and said, "OKAY!!". That's when I lost it, I asked to talk to the manager, but the manager never came. I left right then and there. I hope this lady gets fired and I did complain about her. Her name was Michelle. I will never ever come back here because of the type of service I got, and I do not recommend anyone else to come here. The employees are so stuck up and mean, they will give you the nastiest looks if you ask for ANYTHING. Please do not ever come to place. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE FRAGRANCE DEPARTMENT. This mall gets pretty crowded and loud on the weekends so i would suggest coming here in the morning. Of all the perfumes I tried that day, I ended up going home with 'Fancy Love' by Jessica Simpson. I usually have a hard time picking one because the majority of perfumes are too strong or too smell too sweet. Also, I noticed exceptional customer service from the following employees: Pita, Alicia, & Martita. They were fun. friendly, graceful and approachable. I usually don't like interacting with the staff because I feel like they just say whatever to make a sale. I would like to give this Store a five Star because as a Macy's Employee i give my best to serve the best customer service imaginable. But unfortunately we have some workers that are not very friendly sometimes. We also have a great clearance selections here especially in women's section. Our INC clothing selection too is quite wide considering that this is a small Macy's. Overall this Macy's is not bad at all, it might be a little bit out dated compared to other Macy's but customer service is way better than Valley Fair for my opinion. read more

I was in Mac yesterday afternoon I had a 12:30 and I could not of been happier :) ... Izzy was my makeup artist and he did an amazing job . I must admit I was a little iffy when I found out a man was doing my makeup but after we started I couldn't of picked a better makeup artist my self :). My eyebrows looked amazing and he made me feel comfortable the whole way through . He thought me some tricks and simple ways of creating the look my self . I think certain areas are great : Makeup, Perfume. I encountered a number of employee's over the weekend as I had to come back for a few gifts and a dress for myself here. In the entire weekend, I only came across 3 employees (out of about 8-9) that was friendly and helpful. Having worked in the retail industry, I know it can make some people jaded. But, I still tried to be nice to customers. People here, did not seem to be try- most anyway. The luggage department seemed like a joke. However, I did enjoy the makeup and perfume selection. Everything else seems overpriced. So I'm giving the selection two stars and one star for customer service because they can do better in both areas. read more

Women's Clothing registers: THE worst ever. Lines are consistently long with only one register going with no end in sight. The Macy's at Eastridge Mall doesn't even deserve 1 star. Walking through this store is depressing because it's dirty, messy and lacks any customer service. The women's clothing department is awful. Don't order items online. This is my third time doing it and I never learn my lesson. There is a sign that says online order pickup but they split the line side with returns. They can't seem to figure it out and the pickups will go about every 6th person or so. It's sad that a big chain like Macy's can't figure it out. I'll never order from this place again. read more

After waiting in line at least 8 minutes while 1 clerk argued with a customer, 3 people ahead of me, now 6 customers waiting in line behind me the clerk finally looks up and says anyone purchasing clothes go to the line on the OTHER side of the store!! Really??? Needless to say I dropped my items on the rack and left. Lousy service and what was once a great store now is no longer a place I'll shop. Another clerk could not help in the jewelry department which I understand but pointed to the line I was in. I totally understand everyone's view on this Macy's. It's an ok Macy's to shop at. The selection isn't as wide as VF or Oakridge, but for the people who shop here, it's enough. Eastridge Macy's is mainly a quick stop, shop out of sheer boredom type of store. Third floor is Kids and Home/Bedding. I'd say they have an ok selection of clothing for kids. I don't really shop there but I've seen a lot of sale and clearance items that were cute. This Macy's doesn't have mattresses or actual furniture so that's a downside for some customers. It carries a variety of pillows, cookware, luggages, and bedding though. Second floor is Mens, Young Mens, Shoes for mens, and Lingerie. They've been expanding the brands and remodeling the floor layout to accommodate the new brands. It's beginning to carry higher priced brands along with the original brands, such as: Marc Ecko, Ralph Lauren, Ed Hardy, etc. It's not a wide selection of those brands, but at least they have it now. Ecko Unltd still has a large floor space in Young Men's. They've also decreased the amount of sports wear and athletic gear. First floor is Women, Petite, Juniors, Shoes for women, jewelry, cosmetic, and fragrances. They finally added a women plus size section. Although they had to take out the sports wear and athletic section and junior dresses for it. Juniors is kind of the same but is carrying less brands/clothes. Fragrances is still the same. For cosmetics, the brands they have are: Clinique, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Shisheido, Dior, Clarins, Benefit, a small counter for Dermablend, and MAC. Most of the counters are fully stocked on products needed by the customers. Almost all the cosmetics brand have an associate working the counter. The only counters that don't have people sometimes are Dior, Clarins, and Benefit. Some of the people who work here are nice. It's pretty much a hit or miss though. New hires and temps aren't as helpful and are more likely to be rude. My favorite associate would have to be Penny from Petites. She's the sweetest, nicest, old lady to ever work there. She is very friendly and tries to be as helpful as possible. She even goes out of her way to try to help the customer have a nice shopping experience. All in all I don't mind this Macy's. It gets overly messy sometimes, but that's expected of sale days. It also doesn't get as messy as VF and Oakridge Macy's though. They usually have the items I need because most people try to avoid coming here. read more

The employees here are very attentive and helpful overall. I come here quite often and never have had any issues. I always feel welcome at whatever department I go to plus I am always greeted. As a Macy's card holder I go to many locations and this one by far is the Macy's I feel the most comfortable in. Whether I'm in fragrance or beauty I've always had a great experience here. This store provides the worst customer service and store management. I bought two sets of duvet cover online, but quality is poor and size does not fit down blanket. I visited this store in the evening today for return. I waited for 15 minutes in front of the customer service desk near bedding department on the third floor, but nobody serves me. Finally the cashier lady came, but she told me she will serve the other two customers behind me first and suggest me go to children department to return. Went here to quickly buy a wedding present with my mom since we were short on time. We were standing in line for 30 minutes, over this woman and daughter complaining over sheets. There's not enough service, and the cashiers do not really care. While we were waiting, they lost a total of 6 customers who just dropped the items and left the store. Review for the Finish line department where they have majority of the sport team tshirts and gear. I have to say I have never felt so disrespected by an employee by any store and unfortunately the "head" of this department was the one who made me feel this way. Back track first week of December. I'm here just looking around starting my holiday shopping and I picked up two curry warrior tshirts. Blue, #30, warriors, curry. I pick two shirts and head over to the register to pay for them. The girl who rings me up is on a laptop and ringing me up at the same time. I watch her put the two return barcode stickers on both my shirts and proceeds with my purchases. One shirt I noticed she had trouble scanning but I didn't think nothing of it cause sometimes computers act up or what not. I swipe my card make sure that my purchases matched what I had in the bag and what came up on the screen. Got 20% off for the family and friends promo so I was ecstatic. The price matched with what I saw before she rang me up and I saw prices go down, happy with my purchase she game me the receipt and had to go to a difference register to take the alarm thingy off and gave me my bag and done. A week before xmas I give my shirts to my uncle and dad and they don't fit (wanted to have them wear it for the big game on xmas). I live in San Leandro so I went to see if I could exchange them at Bayfair Macy's. I had the original bag and receipt. To my luck before xmas there are no shirts that I like to exchange them for so I decide to return them. Returning process: I was able to return one shirt with no problems, but when the cashier rang up one shirt it didn't match picture on the screen of what the tag was scanning. I show him how I bought both of the shirts at the same time and that the return label matched the one on the receipt. A week before xmas I go back to the original Macy's I bought that shirt in and headed straight to that department. This guy is not assisting us. He doesn't say anything until he scans the shirt as same problem. For what ever reason the picture scanned on the tag isn't what is front of us. I told him this is the second time trying to return this cause this size doesn't fit the person I want to give it to and I had no problem returning the other one. He then goes and question me on what shirt did I return. He hold up one shirt and honestly they all look the same and I said I think it was that shirt. Then he shows me on his screen that the first shirt I returned was a different design. Both shirts I had were blue with curry #30 on it and the Warriors logo. He then tells me that I'm mixing up my stories and when my boyfriend and I try to explain to him that we don't understand why the other shirt mattered he puts his hand on his wasted gives us attitude and was like " you told me two different stories okay let me listen to this third one." In a store full of people and people in line I get like he was making us looks like liars. He said he can call his manager and they would tell us the same thing that we wouldn't be able to return this shirt cause it wasn't a "Macy's shirt." Feeling embarrassed cause of the way he talked to us in front of so many people i just wanted to get out. When he rolled his eyes at me and standing there like he wasn't going to help us my boyfriend grab our shirt and we left. After maybe 10minutes I'm livid and I go back and go to a different department with no line and I asked to speak to the manager. The lady who helped up and the manager actually took the time and helped me with returning a shirt I didn't need. She noticed the shirt looks just like what was in the screen with a minor detail that no one could of noticed. She asked me why I didn't go to the finish line department and I told her we tried and didn't get the help we needed. I was able to return the shirt underneath the supervision on the manager that helped us. To the chubby guy with glasses and a stutter that works In The finish line dept..thank you for treating us like shit. Interrogating us like criminals over a $18 tshirt. We wouldn't go through all this trouble if we were trying to cheat the system. You might of been having a bad day during the holidays but don't bring happy customers down with you. If you want business then let them leave with a pleasant experience. This guy too was the one who told us about the family and friends discount when we first bought the shirts. read more

I got my Macy's money curse I have a bad experience withy the different Macy's store at Valley Fair and went to this one to get some stuff with the Macy's money to buy stuff and one of the worker said she couldn't do it for me when they told me I can use it on anything I want and when I ask for a manager they did everything for me. If I can give this Macy's 0 stars I would. I got my car broken into and they took my wallet and all my credit cards and debit cards. The man who took it came here to this Macy's and purchased a pair of shorts for $120 with my debit card that says my name on it and on the back of the card has "see ID ". It's pretty pathetic that a employee would run a debit card as credit since he did not have my pin and not even check for ID for such a large purchase. The store was not able to issue a refund even with receipts for a $400 purchase so had Macy's send us a merchandise credit certificate. We used the certificate for a $30 purchase, get the certificate back with the message from the sales associate that the certificate has $370 balance. We try to use it a week later and the certificate had $0 balance. Upon investigation, it turns out that the sales associate was supposed to give us a new certificate with $370 on it but instead kept it for herself and used it. We return to the store to complain and the response we get from the Store Executive Manager is that there is nothing they can do and it's too bad that we just lost $370 for no fault of ours. read more

This is just to warn anyone who is considering buying a mattress from Macy's to beware. I bought a medium priced mattress, presuming the salesman's statements regarding the quality and durability of the mattress actually meant something and that their "warranty" provided some assurance of that. The mattress sagged visibly after 8 months and the representative from the "service" that Macy's uses for its mattress warranties declared that the clearly sagging mattress showed "moderate" use and was just fine. read more

Yesterday March 6, 2015 I was very disappointed with Bare Minerals. If I could give them a 0 star I would. I was inside Macy's to get my brushes cleaned and buy 6 Tapered face brushes . I had to wait an hour for a Bare Minerals employee to assist me because no one was there. When the lady got there, she was white skinned, skinny with black hair, approached me and asked how she could assist me and I said I wanted to purchase some brushes and get my brushes cleaned but she refused to clean my brushes. I was shocked by that. I always go to the Bare Minerals store in Valley Fair because I am a long time member and never have any problems with the lady that assists me named Jackie. She refused to clean my brushes and I felt mad, she said that she had been working for bare minerals for three years and she had never done any work. Well Bareminerals, she is a bad employee I am a makeup artist and always buy bareminerals makeup and brushes and when I get my brushes cleaned at valley fair I always tip the lady $100 just for cleaning my brushes. I travel a lot and yesterday I had to drive down to Valley Fair because I encountered very bad customer service. This is very upsetting to me as a customer. I would never recommend going to Macy's Bare Minerals at eastridge anymore. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, the store was a disaster zone nothing was organized I was looking for a dress to wear to a wedding and this store was a poor excuse to be macys. I waited wiht my sister for a associate to even acknowledge we were looking to get a pair of shoes not one person offered to help us nor when we asked not one person to came over to help. We waited in line to check out for the 1 item I had since I couldn't find anything because everything was a mess. We honesty waited 15 minutes with 2 people in front of us. Only giving 2 stars due to the fact they had the suit I wanted . I received no help in the men's suit section and even was argued with about wanting a Macy's black plastic suit bag for my $650 Calvin Klein suit. In addition the men's department was thrashed with clothes, ties, and pants on the floor. Clothes were misplaced and thrown/disheveled everywhere. Will never go to this location again just on principle. Entire store should be re staffed and re organized. Been here several times. Their customer service is the worst, esp. in the make-up department. There is hardly anybody there to help and if you do find someone, they act as if you are wasting their time if you inquire about different products, shades, brushes, etc. They just want you to go there, buy, and get out as soon as possible. Just adding more facts, about the hiring process at least, there is one in sunnyvale, apparently I talked to a supervisor, with a Russian accent, and got the interview process with little or less pain. However , the next following interview, they act as I was making up the whole thing. I tried to see if my application was on file, and WHAT I HATED THE MOST WAS THE PERSON HELPING ME, didn't care or didn't know , WHO I TALKED TO LAST TIME I WAS THERE ABOUT MY PROGESS IN MY APPLICATION. (to make it breif) I go in apply, Confirmation in email, Interview, wait, 2nd interview, done. End result , NO call backs , even with the eastridge location. and yet and the same time, (for gas purposes) as well as travel, Its close by, it doesn't deserve a 1 star, but its NOT getting a 5 star , at all. or ever , at least till being treated like a Customer "humanly" instead of being auto judge based on what you loook like or what you've worn that day. SERIOULSY..... gonna say your hiring, acutally do the hiring, skip a proccess here or there, and acutally hire LOCAL- WORKERS. not rehiring the same people who've quit, and or come and left, just because they're easier to hire than a fresh Newbie. It's the most disorganized clothing department. 80 percent of the clothing is where it doesn't belong. It looks more like cheap clothing store than a department store. They don't even have enough racks. The clothing is pushed together. Very sad. We pay the same $others pay at nicer malls therefore we should get the same clean and organized facilities. read more
