I don't like mace. It smells a bit macy
    Fox E.

I prefer Christy, because she's Macky, rather than Macy. So should you. This is located at the Oakland Mall and is a big Macy's that's pretty old in a big old Mall. We don't really like Macy's as much as we like JCPenney, but this is a pretty decent location and bustling full of people - so it's pretty good for people watching as well. Barbita la mas bonita says: Macy's is an American institution. Shopping here is a must, at least once. They have tons of clothes for women and men and children. They also have great appliances and bedding. Gift cards are great gifts. This was a busy location and I liked it.

Waiting & waiting in the only open register.

This Macy's has always been frustrating, messy, understaffed, no registers open, but wow they have hit a new low. They advertise what a good job they're doing with Corona, but in reality it's terrible. They literally only have one cash register open on the 2nd floor. When I got in line there were 10 people ahead of me. Even if the cashier was speedy, which she wasn't, and it was 5 minutes a customer that's a 50 minute wait. I waited almost an hour to buy my items, which normally I would have bailed, but I really actually needed them. Couple that with the fact that there are no fitting rooms opened, which is not a mandate, they've just chosen not to open them because they only called back 30% of their staff, which was verified by the cashier. So if you want something you have to buy it and hope it fits, otherwise you're going to be bringing it back and waiting in line again. I was looking for a mother of the bride dress also, and saw some that I liked but at $200+ & up a dress, I'm not buying 5 dresses and taking them home and then bringing them back. As usual the floors were trashed. Clothes strewn everywhere no one to help and just in general a giant mess. If Macy's wonders why people aren't coming it's not because of the Corona it's because your store is a disaster. There's been a lot of talk over the last couple of years about why retailers are doing poorly and people shop on Amazon it's because the stores are so frustrating.

Shop local malls and businesses please
    Nicole W.

At this time of year it's important for us to shop local malls and businesses in person. I know it's easier to shop online however I remember the days when stores were packed with shoppers, lines were long and the noise sometimes was to loud. Now today stepping into Macy's I felt an overwhelming sadness because there was hardly any shoppers.

    Fitting rooms are filthy.

This place is horrible. The reason why I don't want to go to malls. It is dirty and unorganized. Staff doesn't want to be there and don't dare to ask then a question, because you are bothering them. Went to try on a couple of things today and the fitting rooms were so filthy, I felt dirty even standing there. They were all empty but no one was there. Every single one of the rooms had leftover hangers and clothes. The floors were dirty, couldn't step on it. Gross.

Macy's Backstage had 13 people in line and one cashier. This will not bode well for the holiday season.

Fun fact, May is busy. Weddings, prom's, Bar Mitzvahs... it is all happening. Walking in a week before prom, I was concerned we were SOL but as long as we were ok with the traditional black tux, Sam's could make it happen. This was actually our first choice. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy. After wandering around, it appeared a line was forming so we lined up. However, after a few moments, a younger women approached asking how she could help. She measured, wrote up the order and and cashed us out in less than 10 minutes. She explained what the next step would be and we were on our way. I have tagged his mom and grandma in for pick up but based on past experiences with my boys and the efficient from last Saturday I have every confidence everything will be fine. TBH I have no idea how they compare to other tuxedo places, pricewise, but I think they have a great selection and the customer service is clearly a priority. Now that I am done with dressing young men for prom I will have to find some black tie events for my husband to take me to. :-) They have a very nice selection of mens clothing and they might do alternations, although I am not sure if that is just for purchase from them or if they take outside work as well. A+ customer service! Highly recommend.

Every time I walk in, they make me feel like a million bucks. The selection is incredible, the pricing is fair, and the service is unmatched. It's the complete package! I've bought multiple sport jackets, suits, and even a tux here, and every experience has been outstanding. Love this place!
