I have been coming here religiously since they opened in 2024. I go almost every weekday to grab their specialty Sea Salt Coffee and their Jasmine Tea Sea Salt. Their service is always great. Their staff is always friendly and kind. Their bakery goods always taste good and fresh. From their savory goods to their sweets - you'll find more than one thing to buy. Their interior is designed well and avoids jamming. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes, even on their busiest days. All-in-all, I highly recommend coming here. read more

As you walk in you can order at the self-serve kiosk. I always get there specialty TigerBoba Latte and i added coffee jelly and its so good! Staff is very friendly and we were greeted as we walked in. My wife and I got a slice of tiramisu and macchiato cream cake. I love tiramisu and was a bit underwhelmed as it didnt have that extravagant flavor profile but I still ate it all lol. The macchiato cream cake was delicious though! It's strawberry season here I guess. We seen a sign outside of the store that they were giving cute little strawberry magnets if you purchase two strawberry drinks. Went inside store was kinda empty, not a lot of customers or options of pastry to choose from. Workers didn't really acknowledge us or anything. The mango strawberry drink (pictured on the left) was really good but the matcha strawberry drink was very grainy, we were actually on our way home so I fixed when we got to the house. They didn't give the magnet either had to ask for it, the lady at the cafe gave our receipt to the bakery side and they handed it over. I have a bucket list of activities to complete before my birthday next week. One of those is to check out a new bakery or café, so I decided to come here after my pedicure appointment. When walking in, I loved the layout of the place. There was a line with trays where you can put your selected pastries on and bring to the register to pay for them when you are ready. I noted that each item had allergens identified as you went through the line. I appreciate this as a person with multiple food allergies. Since I wasn't really hungry, I opted to see what they had on their drink menu. Again, I noted that allergens were noted. I ended up ordering a large Iced Strawberry Matcha with oatmilk. I communicated what my food allergies were and they were super nice about it. I didn't have to wait long for my drink. It was delicious! I have always loved and gone to this bakery but on this recent visit I bought 6 items and noticed the prices went up and the quality went down. My favorite of all time was a cream bun since the bread is soft and the inside is filled with a sweet cream...until I noticed it was empty except for the middle with both of the fillings. What a disappointment! The chocolate croissant also was horrible. A few pieces of chocolate chips inside of a doughy and not light and crispy dessert! Had other items that were meh as well. It was solid--smooth coffee flavor, not too sweet, and I really appreciate that you can customize the sweetness level. Great price for good quality coffee. The bakery section looked amazing with tons of options, but we didn't get to try any this time. Definitely planning to come back and explore more of their baked goods. If I could give them no stars I would! We've been coming to the kapolei 85 degree for a long time. This morning we got 3 of the sea salt coffees that we always get, and this time it literally tasted like chemicals. We went back in to inform them and the worker DONNA was rude and attacking us like we were lying. DONNA questioned us asking when it was Purchased, where we put the drinks( mind you it was given to the other worker) and constantly giving us attitude. I ordered a cake on June 30th to make sure it would be ready by 10:00 am on July 2nd. I sent my husband to go pick it up. There was NO cake. They told him to come back after 2:00 pm! I called and spoke to the manager. I asked what happened and apparently they gave my cake to someone else! I understand mistakes happen, but when I asked for some type of compensation, she said, "Can I give you a free drink?" I hung up. My husband and I frequently go to this place! I am a big fan of their sea salt hot chocolate as well as their 85c rolls. My husband loves their taro marble roll! I've tried multiple of their breads/pastries (strawberry white chocolate bun, chocolate chip bread bowl, etc.) and everything has been flavorful and delicious. The workers have always been pleasant enough. There are tables inside, but they are behind the pastries at to the far left side of the bakery, so it's very much out of sight and if you don't go looking for them you will 100% miss them. read more

85°C Bakery Cafe is probably the closest I've found in Hawaii to European-style pastry. I love that they offer both savory and sweet options, plus desserts. I had the potato croquette (only $2, yay!), the cheese hot dog with super soft bread, and the iced pumpkin spice milk tea. They also have these cute seasonal pumpkin bread shaped like a pumpkin. So fun. There's a small seating area tucked behind the shelves (I had to ask where it was), with about 4 tables. It wasn't crowded, and I especially appreciated the bench seating. It was way easier for my toddler than regular chairs. The only downside: the tables could use a more frequent wipe-down. Not dirty, but lots of fingerprints and smudges on the marble surface. Plenty of parking, easy to find right from the road, and overall a really nice bakery to stop by. read more

I've only ever bought cakes from this location but every time, service has been excellent, the cafe is always clean and the cakes are delightful. This last time I preordered a coffee crème brûlée cake for pickup on. Saturday. The strip mall where the bakery is gets pretty busy. The cafe itself had a fair amount of customers waiting to get coffee and pastries, but I was able to pick up my cake with very little wait time. Located within Kapolei Shopping Center, 85*C Bakery currently has two locations on O'ahu - this one in Kapolei and another at Ala Moana. This location to me, is on the smaller side compared to others I've visited in California. Offerings can sometimes change and certain items can be found at one location but not the other. I don't know how they determine which items to 'bake' / serve and which items to skip. So, go with the intention of 'trying something new' because your fave may not be available. Our go to items are usually the choco bun; the jalapeño cream cheese; the milk pudding; the chocolate croissant; and the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. Choco bun is light and chocolatey, my daughter's fave. The jalapeño cream cheese isn't for the weary - tons of jalapeños mixed in with the cream cheese and a few topped on the outside! My husband's fave is the milk pudding - traditional Japanese style soft bread filled with delicious vanilla custard. Chocolate croissant is standard, good but nothing fancy. The white chocolate macadamia nut cookies are fabulous -- large cookie that is baked to perfection. Chewy cookie with the right amount of done'ness! Filled with macadamia nuts and white chocolate and I believe oats; this cookie is my fave! They offer teas and coffees and for this visit I had the hazelnut iced latte. Strong and sweet equally balanced with a hint of hazelnut, delicious. Overall, this is a good choice for your caffeine fix and of course hits sweet and savory needs as well. Never been here EVER! I finally got the chance today! Such a cute little spot! Very welcoming and clean! There's a little area to the left for customers to sit and enjoy their yummy treats and tasty drinks too. The cashier was super sweet and helpful and the barista was quick and friendly too! I got three spicy sausage, two deluxe strawberry slices, one large iced hazelnut latte with oat milk and coffee jelly and one large iced mocha latte with oat milk and coffee jelly. I love this place. When I use to live in San Diego, I would always go. So when finding out there was one opening here I had to go. This location is always clean and well stocked. Their Vietnamese ice coffee is so delicious. My favorite items to get is of course the egg tarts as well as the lemon mini cakes. They are both sooo addicting. The workers are always friendly and I have been here any of times and haven't been in a longline. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this bakery in the middle of my last minute hunt for a birthday cake! I naively thought that placing an order a week in advance would be more than enough time to get a cake for my daughter's birthday dinner -- boy, was I wrong! After several calls to other bakeries (one even said they were fully booked until January!), I was on the verge of settling for something from Zippy's when I found 85c Bakery Cafe. The staff were super helpful throughout the ordering process, tho it did take me three phone calls to finalize my choice. A couple of the cakes I had originally seen on Yelp and their website were unavailable--either sold out or seasonal--so I had to adjust my selections. Finally, I settled on their Macchiato Cream Cake, priced at $48. My daughter is a huge coffee lover, so I figured it would be a great option given that my first picks were unavailable. Plus, the cake looked beautiful! Preordering the cake was simple and hassle-free. I just gave them my name, pickup date, and confirmed that I'd pay in store. I also asked if they could personalize the cake, and while they don't do custom writing, they did provide a "Happy Birthday!" plaque and candles, which I thought was a nice touch. As for the cake itself, the flavor was decent, tho not something I'd order again. It wasn't my first choice after all, so maybe that played a part in my expectations. That said, the cake box was sturdy and great for transport, and they even included a complimentary pie/cake server, which I really appreciated. When I went to pick it up, I couldn't help but notice the rest of their baked goods--they looked absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings in the future. Last year, I was visiting family in SSF. Almost every morning, my sister and I went to different cafes near her home and one of them was an 85 degrees. I feasted so proud to see on the board, "Opening Soon" and Kapolei was listed. Told my sister, "I told you!" Although I was sad to see Pizza Hut gutted, next door to Taco Bell, as it was one of the very few restaurants open when Kapolei first started building homes in the area over 25-years ago. I was ecstatic that 85 degrees is in my neighborhood. Being from HI and growing up with Shirokiya, an Asian bakery isn't new to me, or us. So when I worked in Irvine, Ca where the original location is located, I couldn't understand why it was so busy every single day from morning to evening. But I'm super happy that I don't have to go to Ala Moana or Pearlridge to get my buttery bread and slated iced drink. I'm happy to stand in line and support this business. Plus, if you download the app, you can get free drinks. Compared to the other mainland locations, this one is small. At least they do have 3 tables in the back but they are always full. The original location, at the time, has no tables. Prices are great. I love the easy flow of selecting breads or pastries. I'm t reminds me of standing in line at Sephora and buying all the trial-size products. I do like the the slatted dark wood that makes it feel like an Asian restaurant . And although busy, service is fast and and friendly. Last year, I picked up lunch and brought back a few items to the office to share. New Asian bakery in Kapolei-- one of those spots that you gotta go early if you want the full selection of baked goods. I came in around 2-3pm --- so most of the stuff was cleared out already. I picked up a basque cheesecake, matcha and cream pastry, and sausage bread. Surprisingly, the one I thought I'd like the most, the matcha cream bread, fell short for me. The sausage bread surprised me in the best way, can't believe that they didn't all get swooped up in the morning! Saved the basque cheesecake for later when we got home -- some folks hate the burnt taste but I like the slight bitterness that gives to offset the sweet. It's super new, clean, and bright. It's mostly self-service but you can also order drinks like coffee, matcha, and tea. Their cake selection here is awesome too -- think light and airy with cream and fruit! I am grateful that 85 degree bakery made it here to Hawaii. I used to enjoy going to their location in Irvine when I was in college. My favorite item to get is the milk pudding bun. It's not too sweet and it is so delicious. This time I got the ham & cheese bread along with that. I found the ham & cheese bread to be mostly bread. I also got the taro lavender latte. The black forrest slice was so soft, fluffy, moist, with perfect layering of sponge to filling, and an even amount of cherries throughout. Known for their sweet and savory items, each treat is priced around the $3 to $4 range. The store is nice and clean and the staff is really nice. One suggestion I do have is that they should tape their plastic wrap to seal their items. I purchased my food and one of my treats fell on the floor after I purchased it. I gave the cashier my "dropped" food and had to purchase another one. She said she talked to the manager to see if they'd give me another treat to replace the dropped food,but the manager didn't budge. I decided not to make a fuss since I was the one who dropped it, but they should really seal their food so this doesn't happen to any one else. The items I tried were okay - nothing special. Okay... I need to talk about this because I genuinely love this place. The pastries? Elite. The drinks? So good. When they're stocked, it's heaven in carb form. But here's the problem. They close at 6pm... yet if you walk in anytime after 12 noon, it looks like a pastry apocalypse happened. I'm not exaggerating. The shelves are basically giving "we tried earlier." Trays empty. Labels staring at you. Dreams crushed. And it's not just once. It's almost every time. It's honestly frustrating because we WANT to spend money here. We plan for it. We crave it. I don't know if it's store policy to bake a limited amount and once it's gone, it's gone... or if production just stops early... but for a place open until 6pm, it would be amazing if there were actually options past lunchtime. This 85C location in Kapolei is smaller and they have a limited selection of baked goods compared to Ala Moana. They are located inside the Kapolei Shopping Center next to Taco Bell. It's convenient if you live in Kapolei or if you're heading to Ko Olina and you want to pick up pastries or boba drinks. I went for the grand opening and it was really good because they had a full selection of pastries but the last couple of times I visited, I didn't see brioche or the mochi egg tarts. I ended up getting the mini lemon sponge cakes and a sea salt caramel coffee since I didn't want to leave empty handed. The taste of the cakes and the coffee were consistent. They only have 2 registers open so it does take a while to pay for your items. I prefer the Ala Moana location over this one. read more

I tried the sea salt matcha latte - ono! Tastes like a normal latte with the added taste of heavy whipping cream with salt. You should try it! Choc chip cookie has oatmeal in it. Very nice and soft.
