We had a fabulous visit to Storybook Station in Pearl Ridge! My kids and my niece were absolutely entranced by the lovely mermaids who treated them like they were real princesses and a Jedi. We did the Stay and Play package which included dress up, face paint, nails, and play time. In addition to the cute princess outfits, they had a great boy / career collection. My boy was able to dress up like a Jedi with face stripes like Ahsoka. She even painted light sabers on his arms. He felt beyond special. The girls were more predictable with a mermaid and a unicorn with matching face paint and sparkly pink nails. They loved running around with stick horses, playing tea party, and exploring the mermaid seashell perch. Both the kids are 3 years old and can be a handful when they are together but once they were with the makeover artist they were on their best behavior. The staff there knew how to handle the kids and made sure they had a great time. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. For starters, I messed up and somehow misunderstood the website when I was booking Elsa for my daughter's birthday party and booked the call time too early. I called the day before and was able to get Elsa's start time bumped back a little even though her schedule was busy. I am so grateful that they were able to accommodate me at the last minute. Since my daughter's party was at the ice palace I didn't want a character there for too long since the purpose of the party was really to have the kids skate. As such, I signed up for the smallest package (30 minutes, nothing crazy). Elsa was supposed to just come and say hi to the guests and take pictures with them. That process ended up only taking a couple minutes so I was worried what would happen next, but "Elsa" has all kinds of activities for the kids like limbo and hot potato and a crowning ceremony for my daughter. One funny thing was that one of my daughter's good friends is born only a couple days ahead of her and had her own birthday party the week earlier. It was a pool party and "Ariel" stopped by for the visit at that party. Some of the parents at my daughter's party recognized "Elsa" as "Ariel" and froze in worry at how their child would take it, but the kids were clearly all wrapped up in the magic that Storybook Entertainment creates that none of them seemed to notice and spent a good deal of time asking Elsa a lot of character specific questions (Where is Olaf? When did you last make it snow?). I actually had a lot of issues with service from the ice palace during the party. I'm bringing it up on this review because I am so thankful for Storybook Entertainment. Elsa completely mesmerized the kids and kept everyone entertained, which really hid some of the problems that were going on (not related to Storybook Entertainment at all!). Phew! read more

Every experience has been amazing and our daughter is in her unicorn-Princess loving phase so we have requested that each visit and each face painting has been unique and beautiful! It never feels rushed and the ladies working are always so kind and patient. There is a new service where you can choose a costume to wear out for an additional price. Only feedback I would give is that we chose the Popstar outfit, which my daughter LOVES but the hair extension braids get caught in the sequins of the dress. It snags the dress and the hair when you try to pull them a part. Totally worth the additional price to leave with an outfit though....genius idea for the little ones. read more
