If I lived nearby it'd be my regular stop, especially before commuting. In long I had an hour to kill and definitely a caffeine shortage happening. This is easy to find right off the very busy avenue that is 19th. The guy ahead of me might've been buying for the whole fire station or something--he had the union sticker on his truck and his order took a while. But the barista here was actually quick. My Americano was ready in maybe a minute and a half at the most, all filled with friendly chitchat. The poor thing was next to that huge open window on a 32-degree day, trying to survive in a sweatshirt. Credit to her, 'cause she was cheerful and funny the whole time. There's everything to like about this place for sure. Looks like they make some much-fancier drinks, too, but I'm always Mr Basic in the cup (even though I do seek out fancy beans sometimes).

There is one kiosk for self ordering and you can also order with an employee at the register. I order the Biscoff Matcha Latte with whipped cream and it was outrageously good. There was a perfect amount of Biscoff so it didn't overwhelm the matcha. I am usually afraid to try new drinks but I am glad I tried this. Considering how many drinks they had to make the wait wasn't bad and the staff was very friendly and smiled and said hello to everyone. I am looking forward to coming back for another drink. Paul's warm smile and friendly greeting set the tone for a great experience. I am always so happy when I see him behind the counter. Ashley is another team member who makes my coffee run even better. Always friendly and willing to help me fine tune a drink so it's not too this or too that, she is always patient and kind. When I arrived on Wednesday during their posted business hours (9 AM), the bakery was unexpectedly closed with a sign saying "Sorry, we have sold out, we are closed!" Their voicemail and website then stated they would also be closed for the next two days. What's most disappointing is that I received absolutely no phone call or notice that my prepaid order would not be fulfilled. For a business handling special occasion orders, failing to contact customers about canceled or unfulfilled orders is extremely unprofessional. I didn't even get a refund for my order, will need to do a charge back on my card now.
