There were a few bumps in the road, mostly from my side of things (insurance, dry rot, the holidays) He was out to my house several times as we navigated the situation. The construction side came out as well. But fortunately, the dry rot was not nearly as bad as it looked to be, so I didn't need to utilize them. I saw another review that stated they couldn't use the fixture they wanted. Zach was VERY specific on which valve he preferred and why. You have to get specific trim kits to fit specific valves. Take notes and ask questions. I would definitely use Zach and Mad Piper plumbing in the future. I did comment to Zach on communication. I've used them for small things like hose bib replacement and for larger things like replacing all my toilets. They are also incredibly honest. I needed to have two bathrooms redone because of a contractor defect (not theirs!), and when the GC said the vanity I selected wouldn't fit unless I changed the plumbing entirely, it was Mad Pipers who adjusted the vanity by removing a shelf. My hot water tank broke on Tuesday night and flooded my garage. I called PSE and they recommended Mad Pipers Plumbing. I called them around noon and Curtis took my call and confirmed he could come take a look the same day. Curtis came by around 2:30 pm and advised I would need a new tank. My father had asked many questions and Curtis was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He said he could replace and install a new heater same day for a fair price. He returned around 4:30 pm with a new tank and installed it in just under 2 hours. Curtis was awesome, very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to talk to me while working. Our sink/garbage disposal was clogged and not functioning. Curtis and team came over for a consultation. They fixed the sink/garbage disposal within the hour and talked me through what I should know if the issue comes up again, options to replace the sink, etc. From a service perspective, it was the best experience I've had. They didn't charge us saying we were in the neighborhood and it was an easy job for them. (Even though my wife and I had spent half the night trying to fix it earlier in the week...thank god for professionals!) I really couldn't recommend MPP highly enough. Way too costly! We had the parts and they wanted THOUSANDS to make one plastic pipe replaced and a meter put in. My husband wound up doing it himself (at 71)) in about an hour! We also have sewer to our yard and asked for bid for both, over 10,000.00 for a 30 foot trench and hook up. Ridiculous charges. read more

Do NOT trust these people. I was royally ripped off. I needed a toilet unclog along with a bathtub drain unclog and this guy told me he didn't have the tools to unclog the drain. He didn't even TRY. EVERY plumber should know how to unclog a bathtub drain!!! Also, he needed to auger two toilets, he said. After he did that, I asked him if he was going to fix both toilets from running and he said "what running?" Really? I don't believe he didn't hear the running on EITHER toilet. I asked what I should do and he told me I needed new toilets. Lastly, I needed a new shower handle and what he installed was a pos handle that doesn't stick well. I payed almost $850 for him to come out. In the MEANTIME, I hired another plumber and guess what he said? The water valves needed to be replaced. And THEN he replaced them!! And then, he unclogged my drain. I haven't been snookered like this in a long time. read more

The pump in my basement stopped working which caused me a big headache because currently I am working in the basement and it exhausted me to climb upstairs to use the toilet. I contacted Mad Piper and they scheduled a quick appointment for me. When Curtis first came to my house, he quickly figured out what could be the cause, and explained the situation to me in plain language. Turn out the house' builder used the wrong type of pump from the beginning which made it vulnerable. Though he did not have the necessary equipments for get this big problem fixed that day, he sent me a thorough fix plan and price quote in PDF very quickly so that I got enough information to make the decision. After we agreed on the plan, he helped order the new grinder pump and scheduled the second appointment as early as possible. They kept us posted on the ship day of the new pump as we were waiting. Later Curtis came back to my house with his colleague and they worked for hours on a very hot day to get the pump replaced and tested. I hired these guys a couple of weeks ago to clear a backed up sink (septic backing up). It cost me over $500 to only have the sink back up a week later. When I called back they said they couldn't get back for a few days to check it out. Meanwhile I had septic sewage coming back up my sink. I called another plumber (Joes and 2 Sons) . They did in 30 minutes what Mad Pipers couldn't do in a few hours. They had all the right equipment (larger snake and camera) and problem solved almost immediately.
