Always a great experience here they usually have a large selection of cider and beers on tap as well as a full bar. The music can get quite loud And because it is a touch tunes location, you never know what you're gonna get. Always a good time here with a large assortment of options. We saw a smokey old fashioned be made this time and enjoyed the variety of beers, whiskeys, and mixed drinks. Complete tourist trap during off season for non tourists!!!! Consider all this with a "dive bar atmosphere". Unacceptable. read more

Came here today while passing through. The reviews here on Yelp were good and they had a decent menu. We decided to try the Octoberfest menu . The beer was good. I will say try some samples before you just order some beer because you like the style somewhere else. The venue is really nice and has plenty of room for several large parties. I stopped by tonight. It was crowded, and they do have a vast amount of Local Draft beers. I normally have a great time at Tampa/St. Pete bars. Such was not the case here. I asked the bar back if I could have one of the TVs put on the NBA playoffs game. He was polite and tried to find a TV, but then from across the bar the bartender yelled that they close in an hour and no TVs are too be changed. They have like 12 TVs here, so it wasn't for lack of having an available screen. In any case, I get it maybe The Bay is truly just a baseball, Hockey City? But, No it's not. Or maybe my asking the bar back to change a TV was uncouth? Possible? I guess I'll never know. I do know that I won't be back here. I'll still give it two stars as I bet it's an absent owner who doesn't know what a jerk off he has working for him, plus they do have a nice selection of drafts. We had gone to the cigar store next door to Mad Pub for some... (wait for it)... smokes where we were told we could bring our cigars there to smoke and order some drinks. Therefore, we stepped over to Mad Pub, where I enjoyed seeing not only a nice tap list of craft beers available but a solid roster of Irish and Scotch whiskey/whisky from which we enjoyed some drinks. The pub itself is like most sports bars with live music. They have good vibes and good times while imbibing on one type or drink or another. What I like about Mad Pub is they have an island-shaped bar at the front of the establishment if you want to grab a drink to chill outside at one of the available tables. That spot is great for people-watching those hanging around John's Pass Village. They have an i-shaped bar behind that along the right side of the pub in addition to other table seating inside should you decide on those options. The pub is a fun spot to hang out with friends certainly, chat with the bartenders when they're not serving drinks, smoke a stogie, or contemplate existence while music plays and sports games radiate from the TV screens. read more

Ducked in a couple times during my vacation and enjoyed both their expansive beer selection, and their ice cold A/C. It was a hot Summer! They are settled in a little entertainment district for the area and have a new, clean, professional and welcoming vibe.
