I didn't have to then meet with a sales rep who would used high pressure sales tactics (scarcity, urgency, blah blah) to enjoy jt workout (unlike my LA Fitness experience). The gym would either sell itself or it wouldn't. Tomas at the front desk was very warm and personable, a very refreshing exchange. As for the gym itself, I like the layout, but it's definitely outdated. I'm going with a gym closer to me that is higher end, but I recommend using the day pass (if you're an Austin resident) to see if it's a good fit for you or not.

The place isn't fancy, the medium-hard sell on personalized training is annoying but avoidable, but overall, it's a decent place. Most patrons are there to exercise rather than sit on a machine and smartphone away, and a good 85% of them exercise good gym courtesy.

Not sure why it's so hard to fix things. The cable machine has been broken well over 50 days. And counting. Also, the people who open the club on the weekends are consistently late. No air conditioning. Hot and smelly. Humid atmosphere. Couldn't draw up a worse gym in my imagination. To me it's 1 star but I guess to cross fit cultists this is what they like. Only a few smoothie choices and no chicken wraps or anything in their nutrition bar or whatever it's called. If you know how to work out and don't need or want a trainer or group then this place is definitely not for you. They do an incredible job on marketing and must edit photos or take superb angles like a catfish on tinder. Almost thinking they pay influencers to hype this place up. Either way I'd prefer the most basic Planet Fitness or Crunch 100x over this. In fact I'd rather get chubby and not work out over having to work out in an environment like this again.

I liked that each workout is a bit different (unlike OT), with personal attention given by the coaches to form (unlike F45), while building strength in similar muscles groups to get fit over time. It also rotates in format with a good mix of resistance, strength, HIIT, cardio. It's usually 20-30 people in a class and you feel part of a community - other members are friendly and supportive of you need it, but also focused on their goals and not in your way of you prefer that. The place has easy free parking which makes the logistics easy and lockers/cubbies. They provide clean sweat towels (actually clean). And the team is highly responsive on phone/ message - I've never had issues reaching someone if I've needed to.

The workouts are tough but the best thing is that they are ALWAYS different. It's never the same boring old routine. They recently got an infrared sauna too! Their class times align to people who work long hours in addition to people who don't work as you can attend the 6am or 7am classes ( that's where I'm at ) or the 12pm or 5:30pm classes. I enjoy this class so much more then I ever enjoyed Barre, Yoga or CrossFit. It's just a true combination of everything and that makes it so much more doable as it never gets boring. Random body parts are always sore. They also always provide alternatives if you have an injury. The class is super diverse. People of ALL ages and ALL weights. It's refreshing. The classes are always different and work different parts of your body. You will never get bored with the classes here! It really is almost like personal training without the high budget. Although from the reviews here and what I have heard, Lateef and the rest of the trainers are amazing at personal training. I have to give a shout out to Lane LeBlanc who is currently a trainer there. She is super great, friendly, very encouraging and knowledgeable. I always look forward to any class with her! He fails to render services of training he takes full payment for by offering a discount as a means of ensuring that he is paid. If you need private classes, pay him per lesson rather than upfront or you will be in regret and have to take him to court to collect your refund.
