We were staying at a nearby hotel and wanted to find a local place to get some breakfast. We saw this place had a lot of positive reviews and wanted to give it a try. This was by far one of the best croissants that I've ever had. I had the bacon egg and cheese croissant, and it was so flaky and flavorful. This place was also packed when we arrived so we knew it had to be a good place to try my friend had avocado toast and a salad and she raved about it and said it was just as good. They have lots of seating outside of their store and it's a great place to people watch if you're into it. I am happy I found this hidden gem. and I would totally come back again. read more

For being located in the food area of The Grand (hotel/Condominium) in downtown Miami, it was surprisingly good. Their prices only were $4.00 lower online than in the restaurant, but being in what I consider a tourist location didn't really expect different. Three silver dolls size pancakes, were, light and fluffy but strawberry compote was lacking something. The waffle was good, but a little undercooked. Just remember where it is located so you are not surprised by the $16.00 for pancakes and waffles that do not really come with anything. read more

(From March, 2023) Located in the small shopping area near the Marriott, I found this as I was looking for some coffee/breakfast while walking around. It's your typical coffee/pastry place that's not a Starbucks but has the characteristics from those places with the baked goods display, sounds of steamers producing milk foam, the sizzle of the sandwich press, and chatter amongst the patrons who sit inside or outside. I went with my usual latte w/ whatever sugar-free flavor they have (vanilla in this case) and a breakfast sandwich w/ turkey. The woman at the front got me rang up and my stuff was produced timely with a smile from her. Got my items to go and headed back to my room to eat and chill. The latte was filling although I couldn't taste the vanilla flavor. The breakfast sandwich is on a croissant so it's flaky with a buttery taste. Cheese could've been more melted but the taste is there with the turkey and eggs. It's a bit pricier than your normal coffee places but that's Miami for you. The place is clean inside and outside but be cautious of the people who frequent here. There was an older guy outside who had a nasty attitude and kept harrassing people sitting outside. The main reason why I didn't stay there and got my order to go. Don't got the time or energy dealing with those kinds of lifeforms. For a place that's not Starbucks, it's a decent breakfast/coffee option near the hotel. read more

Found this yummy breakfast spot in the mall in the hotel I was staying at. This location opens early and had espresso which I need to function! We ordered the egg, ham and cheese croissant as well as the egg bacon cheese sandwich. We put the order in at the counter and it was brought out to the table. I enjoyed my sandwich and my husband said the croissant was nice and flaky. We sat at one of the tables in the mall and enjoyed a solid breakfast. read more

The place was a little hard to find because it's actually inside the "mall" area of another hotel. After I located it, I grab a table and ordered. Due to the quiche being premade I wasn't expecting the quiche to be so good. Fluffy top, crispy dough, excellent flavor btw I ordered the bacon. Also the croissant was super flaky and warm and perfect Nutella ratio to dough!!! It even came with a salad with a yummy vinegarette. Couldn't place the flavor but it was delicious. Pretty good spot! Got an oat milk cappuccino and an egg n turkey wrap for breakfast and enjoyed it! The cappuccino was easy to drink with good flavor. The wrap felt healthy, not too salty with a side salad. Friendly service, you order at the bar and they bring you your order to the table. You do have to ask for extra napkins and I felt as if it was really hot in there. I wasn't sure if the AC was working. Tbh, the temperature was borderline uncomfortable, but it's not a place I really sat around for too long so it was alright! read more

The quiche was light and delicious and the latte was okay. The staff is very friendly and the service quick and courteous. The food was delicious! The french toast I got had dulce de leche on it and it was like a bomb. I love that the food is fresh and they have a wide variety of items. The coffee was super cute the way it had the heart on it as well. The servers were very nice; they cleaned the tables before and after we were there, they offered Apple Pay to make it easier and they were very friendly. I like how the walls are made of glass so you can see outside and it just gives a different feeling to the place. Only thing is that it was a bit expensive for breakfast. My matcha drink was $6 and my french toast was $15. I ended up spending $85 for 3 adults and a kid. I ordered matcha, 2 coffees, Fanta, scrambled eggs and bacon (2) and french toast and bacon. I guess it's worth it because the food taste good but if you're on a budget I think it's better to find a different place. read more

This place is small and hidden inside of the Double Tree hotel but I was so happy to find it. It has a charming European flare that made me feel like I was back at one of the cafes in Spain. I kept it simple and ordered the Maxi Croissant with turkey and an iced coffee. The croissant was a nice size and flaky the way a good croissant should be. Located in the Grand Mall lower level you will find this quaint breakfast/brunch cafe and keeping with my tradition of eating light breakfasts decided this would be a great little place to attempt another light meal. Awesome little cafe, we ordered spinach quiche and a maxi croissant coffees alongside. Once again plenty of great food for 2 people. The quiche moist and very flavorful on a flaky crust that appears to be scratch made (maybe by someone's gmaw). It came served with a great tasting tomato salad with fresh greens. There was a lot of food on that plate. The Maxi Croissant is split down the middle and tucked inside is a cheese omelet, I'm not certain but I'm thinking they use about 3 eggs in that omelet. Once securely tucked inside the croissant is then grilled panini style. After finishing that I finished my wife's quiche, I highly recommended this cafe total time spent 30 minutes, great food, great service. read more

This is a cute little addition to the community inside of The Grand building off of North Bayshore Drive. (Where I lived until just last week.) The owners do or use to also live in the building and are very sweet people who work very hard. The prices are reasonable and the service has always been found to be quick and friendly. I went a few times while we were moving, as our kitchen was paced up, for Quiche which I love! Cleverly named after the famous 1963 Federico Fellini movie 8 1/2 - the Italian touch is evident, including the staff. The lady behind the register took a call in Italian while I was in line, which prompted a grazie from me when she finished processing my payment. 8 1/2 mainly serves various breakfast and lunch items and seems quite popular judging by the Sunday brunch crowd. There was no open seating so I regretfully took my food to go; I'd have loved to people watch, especially since this part of Miami seems to be full of tourists, probably heading out on one of the cruise ships that dock nearby. I must have heard at least five different languages while I was in there! There were some breakfast specials advertised on the board outside but I opted for the New American Breakfast #2: scrambled eggs, listed on the wall menu. The description of "eggs, pancetta, and Parmigianno Regianno, served with prosciutto crudo" drew me in. And it seemed reasonably priced at $8. Back in my hotel room less than 5 minutes later, I opened up my food - the portion size was much smaller than I expected and it looked cold and unappetizing. And it tasted as meh as it looked. The cappuccino, on the other hand, was exceptionally good - well worth the $4 I paid for it. I plan to go back for lunch later today and try some more of their food - would love to give them another chance. And yes, I'm definitely getting another cappuccino! read more

Tucked inside of Miami's Doubletree retail arcade, this casual cafe boasts interesting decor that reminds you of the old country. Great selection of hot breakfast dishes and pastries. I ordered the crema catalana, however, and my world came crumbling down. Talk about spitting on my heritage. What should have been velvety orange peel and cinnamon flavored custard covered in crusty, mirror like caramel, served on a porcelain dish, became something else entirely, a complete and utter disaster. Liquid custard that tasted of nothing, covered with burnt liquid sugar that was equally flavorless, served in a glass that only added insult to injury.
