Horrible service. Don't waste your time. I would give this place 0 stars if that were an option. I visited on Sunday, July 26, 2026. After being seated, I was handed a menu, but the waitress never came back to take my order. After waiting 20 minutes, I walked up to the cashier and politely let her know I was ready to order. She acknowledged me, said "okay," and then proceeded to ignore me. No one ever came to my table. The worst part? The restaurant was practically empty. Looking back, that should have been my first clue. Unfortunately, the lack of customers makes sense after experiencing the poor customer service firsthand. I ended up leaving without ever being served. I won't be returning. read more

While the food was really good, the wait was not. We waited over 30-35 minutes for our 2 dishes. There were only 2 people ahead of us so I'm not too sure what the hold up was. They did however thank us for waiting. The noise pollution was also a downside as there was heavy construction right across the street from the restaurant. One of the staff members actually opened the door for what seemed like an eternity but someone else eventually closed it. The food was really good as stated. We ordered the French Toast w/syrup [$10.99] which came with 3 huge slices and some really fresh & sweet fruit. The french toast was honestly just a little above average, but the other dish we ordered was much better. We shared the Papillon Omelete [$14.99] which came w/potatoes & baguette slices. One of the sauces it came with was such a great addition to the omelete. Super fresh ingredients (tomato, onion, green bell pepper, ham, I think) & the eggs were light and fluffy. Yum! The food was just as good as the first time I went. I got the "Super Magda's Breakfast," which I'd rate 9/10; the pineapples threw me off a bit, but it was at an incredible price, I should add. My wife had a carnitas quesadilla (5/10), and we both had two all-natural, freshly squeezed orange juices. Located in the center of downtown, it was a nice little spot with affordable prices and great portions. The service provided was great; since it isn't such a big restaurant, the staff were quite attentive, mindful of everyone, and accommodating to everyone's needs and wants. A hidden gem near bayside! We wanted some brunch and happened to come across this place which is currently hidden by construction. They have a multitude of brunch/breakfast options to choose from. I got the standard American breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with how quick it came out and the freshness of the food. The lady at the front is very kind and makes sure you enjoy your time there. Inside is decorated with florals and neon lights with cute sayings. First time here ordered a hot French vanilla latte got COLD didn't ask for replacement the food was ok potatoes tasted like they were a day old don't like deep fried hash brown so we asked for breakfast potato and she frowned then after our order and after we paid I asked for a small shot of almond milk for after we paid and instead of saying sure no problem or it will be a up charge she frowned at me like I was imposing. My wife and I took a trip down to Miami to renew her German passport. The appointment was on a weekday in the morning so we travelled down the night before. In the morning before the appointment this place was literally around the corner from where we were staying. It's a quaint little place with probably about 10 tables. Scaffolding from the construction obscures it a bit. The woman working the front counter was the only person working the front of house. You order at the counter, take a number to your table and she brings it out. She was quite busy. We got there when it opened and more people came in shortly afterwards. But she was keeping up just fine. My wife got the Papillon Omelette Sandwich. She was expecting it to be smaller than what she received, and so in reality it was probably as large as one from a sub shop, so a pretty good deal. She liked it and couldn't quite finish it, so ended up picking out some ingredients at the end. I got the Huevos Rotos, and they were pretty good. Served on a sizzling plate. The aioli had a good flavor to it. My only nitpick would be that the potatoes, while good, were a bit too salty for me...and the eggs probably could have used some of that salt instead. Oh, and they have fresh squeezed OJ for about $5 for a large. I always enjoy those rare occasions when a place is serving that, so we both got one. I do recommend the place. It tastes home made. But the pastries looked like they may be store-bought, so we skipped those. read more

I came during Valentine's week so there are specials and decors specially for that. The French toast was alright, kinda ate dry that I had to wonder if it even had been dunked in the custard. For the price point, it's a little high for the return so that's one thing to keep in mind. The space isn't that large but the outdoor seating area is an option. The service is great and very helpful. It's a bit of a letdown though because it's more pomp than taste, the foods look great and inviting but while the fruits were fresh, overall the taste didn't match the looks and even the drinks were more aesthetics than actual flavor. read more

We looked for a spot to have breakfast before a cruise and stumbled upon this place. In typical Miami fashion, parking is horrible. So we paid $10 in the lot and walked a block to it. It's small inside, very cute, but small...like 3-4 tables inside. Initially we sat at the first table we could find, as no one told us anything. We then noticed people lining up to order. Someone finally came from behind the counter and handed us a menu as we lined up. The menu is plentiful, but not descriptive. So thanks yelpers for your pictures! We tried the breakfast burrito and super breakfast wrap. We did not expect rice and beans in the burrito. We also didn't expect potato sticks in the wrap. CP is on the side street of my socio de negocios condo complex, Vizcayne in DT Miami. They offer bfast & lunch and are open until 5 pm. They do not offer lox & bagel, so I opted for the smoked salmon on baguette. The baguette was fresh, and nice and chewy. In addition, there was a fair amt of smoked salmon. However, half was cut at an angle, the other half was cut straight. I'm not sure if this was on purpose, but it looked odd. Regarding the ambiance, they have indoor & outdoor seating. You order & pay, and your food is brought to you. The staff is friendly, and the food came out quickly. All in all, a very good experience other than the common issue w/ dining out in MIA: The prices. The sandwich and a cafecito w/ tip was more than $20. We ordered the mimosas they were delicious, and the American coffee with almond milk was good too simple but a very good fresh brew. We were staying at the Elser Hotel for the IU game. We had breakfast at the hotel the first day (before the game) and it was not a great experience (hard toast, over cooked eggs, not hot, flavorless fruit and not great coffee). The next morning before checkout we decided to look for something quick nearby and found Cafe Papillion. It is small, only a few small tables, and you order at the counter. We were not expecting much but the food was quick and tasty, i had avocado toast with eggs, bacon, and tomato and my husband had a combo. The food was much better than what we had at the hotel. Everything was cooked well, served hot with nice portion sizes and more flavorful than the hotel food, like a very tasty home cooked breakfast, and the coffee was excellent too. We were pleasantly surprised by it and shocked at how reasonable it was for what we got. It worked perfectly for us as a great, quick, no frills, reasonable alternative to the hotel food. read more

We live upstairs from Papillon and have been many times. I'm used to the food taking a while, but today's experience was really terrible. We ordered breakfast - a Magda's plate and huevos rotos. The food took a really long time, which is pretty standard, but I'm willing to deal with that. When it came out, it wasn't huevos rotos, it was huevos rancheros. I told the server that it was the wrong item and we'd ordered huevos rotos. He said he'd be right back, but didn't take the wrong item back, which seemed odd. Ten minutes later, he came out and said, "So, you want something different?" I said that I wanted huevos rotos, which was what I ordered. He said, "That's the same thing." I said, it's not the same thing - they both have eggs, but otherwise, it's a completely different dish. He said fine, and took back my plate. We waited about 20 minutes and my husband went to ask if the right food would be out soon. They said it would. We waited another 20 minutes and there was no food. We ended up cancelling the food and asking for a refund. We waited well over an hour and never got the huevos rotos. No one apologized, tried to explain, or tried to make it right. That's the last time I'm going to tolerate the consistently bad service. read more

If we hadn't said anything, we would've never gotten our food. There was no apology just an explanation as to what happened (the ticket had fallen off so the kitchen staff never saw it). This delayed everything of course and then we were rushed to finish our food because they were almost closing. Their hours state they close at 3:30pm on Sundays however, they were turning down customers at 2:50pm. Not welcoming at all. It will be my first and last time here. My breakfast arrived 25 minutes after the other people at my table. When one of my companions, who was closest to the wait area, politely requested if my food would be coming soon, the answer was: 'This is not fast food, not McDonalds. Fine food takes time.' I would say that a restaurant serving fine food would have a better handle on ensuring that people at one table are served at the same time. Additionally, when asked if they could have a coffee refill, just plain black coffee, my companions were told no re-fills; coffee is paid individually each cup. This place really isn't that bad, pretty dirty inside and outside, slow and rude service, but the food was alright. Got the Cesar salad, breakfast sandwich and sausage pizza (takes 30mins). Everything we ordered tasted good but this place is super small and dirty (tables sticky and floors need to be cleaned). This is not somewhere you take a date or go out with your girls, you come here when hungry and need to grab food to-go or have a quick bite and run (there might be no seats) the outside is pretty dusty and dirty too.
