I love a good cheesecake so had to try Patty's Cheesecake at the Foundry in StL. They have a lot of unique flavors which appears to change regularly, offering something new every time. However, the prices are a little steep at $4.25 for a petite (3 bites) and $9.50 for a slice. Unfortunately, they were out of forks so I had to ask other vendors. The display case was missing some flavors so I asked if they had any in back to which they did. Glad I asked but every available option should be on display and replenished until sold out. read more

I've heard of this food theory that states that when you're eating, the first bite of food is always the best. The second bite is almost as good as the first. But after the third bite, you're just "chasing the dragon" to recreate the pleasure of that first bite. I feel like that's true. I find that I'm most happy when I eat just a few bites of something extremely good, rather than a lot of bites of something that's mid. Patty's Cheesecakes is perfect for people like me: People who want just a few bites of something that's excellent. Patty's sells slices of cheesecake, but even better is that they sell petite cheesecakes, which are about the size of a cupcake and are, at most, about four small bites of cheesecake. Perfect! Honestly, you could probably eat one of Patty's petite cheesecakes in a giant bite, or two regular-person bites. They're just the right amount of dessert. They have a stall at City Foundry Food Hall in St. Louis. It's hard to walk by Patty's Cheesecakes without wanting to buy something, because all of the desserts in the display case look delectable. Cheesecake flavors range from chocolate chip to pink lemonade to birthday cake to blueberry honey. But if I'm trying a cheesecake for the first time, I'm going for the classic: original cheesecake. My original petite cheesecake was incredibly creamy, with sprinkles of graham cracker on top and a layer of buttery graham cracker on the bottom. It was perfect. The desserts are all ready to go, so I had no wait at all to get my dessert once I ordered. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and patient with me while I gazed at all of the goods before I decided what I wanted. This is one of the only places at City Foundry dedicated to dessert, and it's definitely the place to go when you're in the mood for cheesecake. read more

I love this place because of Patty herself! I met her the other day and you can tell she loves her place with her whole heart and takes the time to think about these desserts. Minis are my favorite if I don't want a full slice but when I do wanna full slice, I want the Oreo centered slice or the apple pie cheesecake I enjoyed. When I arrived at The City Foundry, I quickly cruised all the food booths to see my options for lunch and once I saw Patty's, I knew I needed to leave room for dessert. Some of my favorite flavors for dessert are; birthday/wedding cake and funfetti. Seeing this huge slice of Funfetti, I was sold. It was perfectly creamy and not overly sweet. I am thrilled that there's a local baker showing STL that not all cheesecakes are like those mass produced cakes at the restaurant located in area malls. Yes, I said local. I was excited to try one of their cheesecakes at City Foundry, but honestly, it was pretty disappointing. Got their original flavored slices and the cheesecakes were not what I was expecting. I thought it would be more like Cheesecake Factory's where there was a graham cracker crust and rich filling but this one was kind of a mix between that and Japanese cheesecakes. Wasn't a super big fan of the extra graham cracker layer on top and thought the cake itself was a bit too sweet for my taste. Visited Patty's Cheesecakes at City Foundry STL on a Friday evening. I ordered a slice of the pumpkin cheesecake and it was the perfect finish to my evening. At the time of review a regular sized slice was $8 and and the cheesecake petites were $3.50. Overall, I enjoyed the cheesecake but the price was a little higher than I would anticipate. I don't know if cheesecake even needs reviewed because I've never met one I didn't like BUT Patty's does it so well. Between my group of 6 we tried just about everything from the banana pudding cheesecake to the strawberry champagne and LOVED it all! Service is super quick as it's in the foundry so you order from the counter and they grab it for you there and we were able to find plenty of seating out front and the general vibe of the foundry was, as always, immaculate. My friend who visited from nyc and stayed across the street at the element told me that patty's was the best cheesecake she has ever had. I said shut the front door and gave it a shot. I tried the banana pudding cheesecake and wow it was so delicious! Two of my favorite desserts mashed into one awesome one - so much room for error and patty's was perfectly executed. I was really impressed with their cheesecake selections! I had the gooey butter, sundae and the caramel macchiato. My absolute favorite was the caramel macchiato, I wish they had it in a slice, and not the petite. The caramel macchiato was flavorful, got the hint of caffeine without it being overpowering and it wasn't too sweet. The gooey butter and the sundae slices were really good as well. I couldn't eat a whole slice in one seating because it was so sweet. I hope to try their different flavors next time I am there! read more

Because I do not tip for some one that takes out a cheesecake slice from the counter, places slice into a box, and rings up the purchase. When I go to City Foundry and I'm looking for a dessert after dinner I often find myself at Patty's Cheesecakes. She has a variety of flavors in both mini and full slice sizes. They are always fresh, creamy, and delicious! My daughter loves when I bring her minis in the color pink (doesn't matter what flavor "pink" is always delicious). I absolutely love going to Patty's. The team is always welcoming and hospitable. They offer a wide variety of flavors including some seasonal favorites that are absolutely delicious.
