Everything is always so fresh and yummy. My husband loves their cannolis and I'm a big fan of their whipped eclair. It's a special treat when we are in the area. Behind the counters are lots of helpful workers eager to assist and answer questions. Also pretty great price points for all you get!

Very nice staff and a cute little bakery on The Hill. They have a variety of baked goods I came specifically for Italian cookies, and those were only okay. They are available by the pound. The blueberry pound cake is good, but if you're looking for amazing Italian cookies, this one isn't the place.

Walked in on a Saturday late afternoon and met the owner, Mini. She and her nukerous team members were very friendly and outgoing and filled with suggestions to satisfy our sweet tooth. We settled on the napoleon and their mixed berry gooey butter cake and some swag. The customer service alone sets them apart, but the bakery items were outstanding and delicious. We were only visiting and now wish they were located a little closer to home to try more of their fresh baked treats. Enjoy!

I made the mistake of coming hear their the "Wine Walk." It was also Mother's Day weekend, so the entire place was packed including this bakery. I couldn't even eat dinner in the neighborhood afterwards because of how packed everything was. The bakery itself definitely had a lot to offer. Very friendly staff, but unfortunately were cash only. I only took home their Gooey Butter Cake. It was good but not the best I've had in St. Louis. Would probably be back when I'm in the area to try out some of their other pastries.

YUM YUM YUM. We got here at the perfect time in the morning of a Wednesday. Shortly thereafter, the wait got really long as the people kept flowing in. Make sure you get a ticket when you get there immediately and then go browsing.

Cutest traditional baking company on the hill! They have everything you'd want and more. Tried the cookies and they were ok.... The cherry pecan crisp was really good. Tiramisu is not actual tiramisu, more like vanilla cake with a chocolate dusting, disappointing. Baklava was also just alright. Service was quick considering there was a line out the door.

We went in to buy a cookie and left with $60 worth of bakery heaven. I admit I knew better than a single cookie, I've been going here for 43 years and wanted my granddaughter to experience it! Yep it was a hit!!

There is not anything mediocre or meh about this place! No matter what I have tried it is always fantastic. Even the most simplistic option is stellar. Service is always a very warm, inviting and helpful. A charming true old school bakery. Small but large enough! I can't wait to return!

A trip to the Hill isn't complete without stopping at Missouri Baking. It's chaos which is just one part of what makes Missouri Baking so special. The staff (everyone, young and experienced) are awesome in this fast and furious paced bakery. If there's a line don't worry they'll get you in fast and the wait will give you time to let your senses absorb all the goodness. My guess is you'll change your mind 3 or 4 times, or buy way more than you thought you would! It's so good. And the baked goods are off the charts. Pick whatever makes your eyes light up and you will be beyond satisfied. Today I had a custard filled puff (sorry no pic, disappeared like a magic act!). Wife had something gooey butter, daughter and grandkids had a variety of treats. All fantastic.

Visiting St Louis for a short weekend, we had only one chance to try some ooey gooey butter cake. All the research and blogs I read said that to have the most traditional experience, you got to go to Missouri Baking Company. Inside we found a quaint little mom and pop bakery that reminded me of something from childhood. All the cookies and pastries I grew up with all lined up in vintage looking showcases had me feeling so nostalgic for the sweets I grew up with. I asked for a butter cake, the original, not flavored with chocolate or fruit. Paid 12 bucks for something that felt like it weighed 5lbs lol and immediately tucked into it when I got in the car. Man oh man, creamy and decadent and buttery on a soft crust I thought to myself, so this is heaven eh?The custard inside felt like this rich thick crème anglaise and it was topped with this kind of crunchy powdered sugar to give it some needed texture contrast. I absolutely loved it and whole heartedly recommend it. Do it!

Honestly, if you judged it by the outside, you might drive right past it. There is one parking spot in front, and then a run down parking lot behind and to the side. The moment I walked in, I felt like I was back in my childhood. The lime green decor, the dark bakery display cases filled with buns, and the small plates of food inside reminded me of the Cantonese bakeries I grew up going to. They also had ready to go meals wrapped up to take home. We bought a bunch of things to try. We had the beef cheung fun, siu mai, BBQ pork baos, sesame balls, egg custard tarts, and one of my favorites, the giant round sponge cake. Everything was fresh and really tasty. The roast pork looked delicious too, with nice crispy skin. The biggest surprise for me was seeing lo po beng (Old Wife Cake). We can hardly ever find it on the East Coast, so whenever we do, we always buy some for my mom. Seeing it here made me so happy. I live in the Metro D.C. area, where we have some really good Cantonese bakeries, so I wasn't expecting much from this tiny place. But honestly, Wei Hong Bakery could definitely give many of the bakeries back home a run for their money. Don't let the outside fool you. If you're looking for authentic Cantonese bakery items in St. Louis, this little bakery is absolutely worth a visit. It brought back so many childhood memories, and I'd definitely stop again the next time I'm in town.

They were one of my favorite pastries she made. (Obv not super important I just thought she may not know & what could it hurt giving her some input from a customer, she may know know?) In this message I also told her how long I'd been supporting her & why and how much I loved her bakery. She is black, female, and truly an artist and master at her craft. With a good personality, That being said; she unleashed her fury on me, one of the angriest most condescending messages I had ever read. Not sure if I caught her on a bad day or she just doesn't handle feedback well. I was stunned and disappointed. Either way, I would never consider stepping foot into her bakery ever again. Her window has maybe 5 things to choose from. It's pretty sad, but there were 2 items I love love loved, and I drove out of my way and paid top dollar for those items. She's by far one of the most expensive bakeries in St. Louis, but I enjoyed supporting her I thought she was great. And she has a moving story. Sadly she doesn't know how to handle customers or feedback. I'm in customer service, 30 years, that's not how you do it, I still think she's a cool Person but not enough to support her.
