During the Covid Pandemic, I was scrolling through Facebook one late evening (early morning). I saw a person on what I now know to be the 'reformer.' At the time, I was curious what they were doing - it looked interesting. Happy to say, my life is better for participating in Pilates. It offers a holistic approach to overall well being for body, mind and soul. When you find something you love to do, it makes all the difference. Both of them really know how to challenge you while still keeping class uplifting and supportive, and I always leave feeling stronger and in a better mood! The class definitely challenges you to get outside of your comfort zone and you walk out feeling refreshed, recharged, and a bit sweaty lol! But if you happen to not have one or forget.. they have some for rent for reasonable price as well. I highly recommended this place because instructor is great in explaining and showing poses and even challenge those who are more advanced. When I asked if there was someone else I could speak to after she put me on hold to verify the information she was giving me, she became completely unhinged and told me there was no one else because she was the manager. The entire interaction was unnecessary and incredibly uncomfortable. No customer should be treated this way for asking a basic question about their membership. Now I'm stuck in a contract with a place I don't even feel comfortable walking into. As the owner of a franchise, I would not want someone with this level of unprofessionalism representing my business or interacting with paying customers. Customer service matters, especially when handling concerns about memberships and contracts.

There is an exercise named the hundreds, and after doing it, my neck would hurt. I told Cristela about it after class. The next morning Cristela said she'd been thinking about it and wanted to watch me do the exercise. She noticed I lifted with my head first instead of my chest and that was what was causing my neck to hurt. She is very thoughtful with every member. It is not just Cristela that is knowledgeable, patient and kind; every instructor is invested in seeing the members work at their own pace and succeed. I've only been a member at Club Pilates for three months and already I'm stronger and leaner. It is my happy place.

I ask for a menu again. He/She asks for "a menu of what? I don't understand what your asking me"I state a membership menu., a brochure of all the membership options; something with all the plans people are able to select from and see the membership options. (very standard & typical for any business newly opening up) marketing material...I asked if that made senseHe/She stated they don't put pricing on brochures because prices are subject to change and asked if he/she was making sense to me.  Sometime in March:They had a couple pop-ups. One got cancelled due to the rain. Thursday, April 28, 2024: I walk into the studio as I see they are open. I finally see a brochure! never mention my experience but glad to get some questions answered. Lovely girl with bangs that helped me. She said they had a promo but never mentioned that there was a deadline. I let her know I will definitely join but needed to consult with my husband as to which plan because the promo was not applicable to the plan that includes being able to work out at other locations as we do travel.  Today, May 3, 2024 8am: I walk in because I called twice and no answer. I try and sign up to take advantage of the promo and they tell me I can't. The computer was down so I had to wait for a re-boot. I inquired about joining that day and being able to still make it to a class because I scanned the cute little QR code on the back of the brochure I got the week prior and it brought me to intro classes only for the following week and I wanted to take a class that morning or day- right away. I've already taken the into class at the Walnut Creek location and my friend is opening up the El Cerrito location but I live here so by default of course. The lady in front advises I come to the 10am class that the owner teaches. Im just exhausted at this point to get an answer, contact. The Escape is not a franchised business that attempts to up-sell you Pilates clothing, equipment or knickknacks. There are only 3 Pilate Reformers at the Escape so if Denise has 2 other clients, you are still going to get her personal attention.
