I love Made Grey Tattoo. The shop is clean, nice decor, big tv you can actually watch (generally playing standup comedy), and most importantly, really talented artists that make you feel welcome. I've gotten two larger tattoos from KC and spoken with shop owner, Juan, multiple times. KC, Juan and all the other guys I've met at Made Grey are all very respectful and inclusive. I went to KC via a friend recommendation and now am working on my entire leg with him. A lot of that is because of the talent AND environment that Made Grey cultivates. Although hard to spot from the road (2nd story in a small strip plaza), Made Grey is my favorite hole-in-the-wall tattoo shop in LA. Highly recommend. read more

I've had a tattoo from Gavin twice now! His work is great, he's easy to work with, gives appointment reminders, and answers all of my questions (I've had a lot of them!). KC has been my go-to guy for years now. He did my entire sleeve, we started a leg piece, and he fixed a tattoo on my shoulder that another artist did a terrible job on. It looks beautiful now. He's also done the majority of my husbands tattoos. He's clean, efficient, and always available to answer questions or give ideas. I also really appreciate that he doesn't feel the need to constantly talk while tattooing, but will periodically check on you to make sure you're doing okay. I gave him a very basic idea of what I wanted for each session, and he always drew up something rad. I get compliments on my artwork everywhere I go, and try to get everyone I can into KC's chair. read more

My friend and I just got simple tattoos, which looking at his style on instagram is not his usual work, but we are in love with how they turned out. I have known KC for 10+ years. He is not only one of my good friends but also a great person and artist. I have had alot of my art work done by KC. My first visit to the studio I noticed was how clean and neat the studio was from the lobby to the artists work space. Today was a follow up visit with KC to continue on my tattoo. I also met a couple artist Juan, Jim and Jules who specializes in Microbladding they were all very nice. I would recommend KC to family and friends. Loved my experience. I'm a nurse and I truly appreciated how clean this place was. The sterility was on point. José my artist did a great job, he executed my vision exactly, I'm eternally grateful. Jose did my first tattoo yesterday. He did a great job!!! I am unable to make a decision to save my life, but Jose was super patient and worked with me until I got what I wanted. I sent him a horrible drawing of what I wanted and the design he did based off of that was awesome. Two friends went with me to get matching tattoos and he even touched up one of their faded tattoos and made it look brand new again. The shop is very comfortable, clean and they disinfect everything thoroughly. Jose is incredible! My friends and I met him by chance and he was so friendly and helpful with our tattoo requests. I came in with an idea and he set it up overnight. I came in the next day and it was EXACTLY what I wanted. It was perfect. While he was tattooing he asked if he could add some color to the cross and I loved the final product! He has great skills, is super friendly and easy to talk to, and is just real. He touched up an awfully done previous tattoo (by someone else) on my friend and it turned out so good.
