Angelique at MD Tattoo is truly incredible. I got my very first tattoo from her this past weekend, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment she learned it was my first, she took the time to walk me through every step of the process and made sure I felt completely comfortable. She was patient, thoughtful, and intentional about making sure the design was exactly what I wanted. Her talent speaks for itself -- the work is so clean, precise, and beautifully done. I'm honestly blown away by the result. It exceeded every expectation I had.

10/10 Experience from the time I walked in to when I left the shop. Very clean, professional, and a nice vibe/ atmosphere. Amelie was incredible. Very detailed and meticulous. Would definitely recommend her.

This place I already gave my review last year on a piece I did with Damon he's the best so in the recent days I had another piece done by him, man he don't miss I'm beyond excited of my new piece, MD is a a very clean and friendly studio (the only place I'll get tattoos or recommend) can't wait to go back to finish my tattoo! Damon is the best highly recommend him.

I got a piece done by a girl used to know and this shop charged me more than triple the Price that she would've. It's insanity. Definitely go elsewhere for the same quality. If you don't want to drive-Go ahead and pay more here.

Been loyal to this shop since I got my first tattoo At 18 with Kyle. Me and him just did my hand to close off my sleeve and are working on my leg sleeve. It was easy to book an appointment with the artist I selected (Ani Lok). She was friendly and my tattoo turned out EXACTLY as I hoped. It was a very simple fine line drawing by my mom which Ani quickly mocked up and gave me advice on the placement. I found it odd that I had to sign a waiver prior to speaking with anyone but many of the questions were confirming I'd been given adequate information. It seemed out of order. read more

This place is so chill! I had to come in to get a new earring for my tragus piercing and she not only helped me choose a new earring but also changed my nose and tragus piercings to shorter barbells since I never went back to get them shortened since Jan. It was painless and she was so friendly! My daughter even got to watch too! Everyone there is super nice that I spoke to and it seems like a super calm environment as well. read more

One of my friends recommended this place and I'm so glad she did!! The place itself is super clean; it's a calm atmosphere and really well maintained. My artist, Flora, is so wonderful!! Her work is amazing, I'm so stupidly happy with how my tattoo came out. She's so sweet, her work is clean and clear, and honestly didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. She is clearly incredibly talented and was just the sweetest to boot! The cost was fair, everyone was welcoming and kind, and my tattoo has been healing well. As a family we came in to get matching tattoos unfortunately within 2 weeks the tattoo faded. We came in twice to fix it which they did without charging which was good since it's not our fault it keeps fading . Needless to say it faded again. The tattoo is smaller than a dime on our finger and it faded again. I guess the owner gave up on us and wanted us to pay again for this mini tattoo, We have half a tattoo that we paid 130$ and it was my birthday present sucks! read more

Well let me start off by saying this has been the easiest, convenient, best quality, and hygienic shop I've ever encountered. From the Easy way of booking online through the website, Rebecca directing me to the most caring, compassionate, respectful, and talented artists JIM. Jim made the experience delightful. I know it may seem odd because tatts are pain but honestly this was a delightful tatt experience I've ever had. He hooked my old tatt up and he's a pro with small art that you want! He's super clean and makes sure your satisfied. He even check and can control pain if you want spray to not feel the pain so bad. I've never had that, and I've been getting tattoos since high school haha This is the place to go to! It's a nice shop very talented, good quality for sure, and cleanliness. I requested to meet with a artist to understand the process as I'm new to the tattoo world and I was told by "Rebecca" that I needed to send a $100 non refundable deposit by venmo. I started tattooing professionally in 2003 and opened MD Tattoo Studio in 2008. It's a real honor to be an award-winning tattoo artist, having snagged around 300 awards and featured in about 60 magazines showcasing my tattoo work. I've had the pleasure of tattooing clients such as Sylvester Stallone, Travis Barker, Donnie Wahlberg, Yelawolf, KJ Apa, and many more over my 21 years in the industry. First, I think some context is needed: This was back in April, I was in school full time and had just dropped off my dog for dental surgery, which was dangerous as she has a heart condition. I had inspiration for a tattoo honoring her, my childhood dog who had passed the summer before, and my parent's current dog. I wanted to get the tattoo done that day since I'm a bit superstitious and thought it would bring good luck to my dog's surgery, but I had a class that afternoon; so I had a tight window of opportunity to get it done. I want to address a few different aspects of my experience with MD Tattoo Studio: 1) My interaction with the front desk/receptionist I contacted the Tattoo studio with a Yelp message. I expressed that I was looking for a walk in for some colored lettering on my arm and that I wanted to get it done as soon as possible. The receptionist, a wonderful dude named Mike D., responded to my message after only a minute (before the tattoo studio was actually open for business I might add), and offered to contact the artists there to see if any were available for a walk in. After some back and forth, Q&A, he was able to get me in contact with an artist who might have time to squeeze me in: Crankee. 2) My experience with Crankee So Crankee had a bit of a tight schedule and after describing in detail what exactly I wanted my tattoo to be, he said it would be better he had more time to flesh out the design for it, rather than get it done immediately. Me, being the nutty nut that I am, pushed for getting it done right then. After some discussion, he recognized the urgency in getting the tattoo done and said he could make time. Ten minutes later, I was filling out paperwork. I had a WONDERFUL experience with Crankee. He was so accommodating and so thoughtful; it was truly a pleasure working with him. After he whipped up a design, he let me look at his inks and choose my own colors (providing helpful input on shade and hue)! He then got right to work, and I am over the moon with what he produced. It was exactly as I had imagined. Not only that but during our session (which was about 45 min long), we had GREAT conversation; Crankee is such a wonderful human and talented tattoo artist. I could not be happier with the final product!!! All in all, MD Tattoo Studio was extremely responsive, accommodating, and helpful in scheduling my session. I just walked out of MD tattoo shop about 30 mins ago and was truly disappointed with the service I received. I had heard great things about this tattoo shop and was looking forward to the possibility of them creating a custom tattoo that I was interested in. After reading on their website that the owner (Mike) was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, like me, I wanted to make the effort on my day off to check out the shop. Unfortunately, when I walked in I was not even greeted. After standing there for over 10 minutes and seeing that there were 4 tattoo artists there, I finally asked for some assistance. The female tattoo artist with red hair looked up and said that they were all busy and continued tattooing. She suggested I look at a portfolio and when I mentioned that I wanted a custom black and grey tattoo she recommended I look through Danny/Daniel's portfolio. As I asked if he was in the shop he walked in and went straight to the back. She informed me that it was him who had walked in and that she would call him to assist me. She never called him and continued tattooing. After another 10 minutes and feeling frustrated with their service I decided to walk out. At no point did any of them show any concern as I walked out of the shop. I realize that they were busy but as someone who knows the importance of customer service I felt let down with their lack of interest to assist me. I would hate to accuse them of anything negative, but their lack of service made me feel so uncomfortable that I questioned if it had to do with me being Hispanic. If this was the case or not, I never got the opportunity to share the idea I had for the custom tattoo much less hear the advice of a professional tatto artist. I would hope the owner gets the opportunity to read this and speaks to his artists and revisit his standards and expectations of customer service. read more

THE INDUSTRY STANDARD. I just flew in to Las Vegas, and did the 4-hour drive to L.A. with the sole intention of getting a tattoo from Mike DeVries at the MD Tattoo Studio. wow...WOW! First and foremost let me start by saying that this is a tattoo STUDIO, not a "shop". I don't think i saw ONE piece of flash on the walls, just quality art. That's not to say that you can't just walk in and get something done. You can. Just try to have some idea in mind of what you want, and bring a quality reference! From the second you walk in the door, you are greeted with a classy, passionate, and respectful bunch of artists. Mike, Josh, London, Katelyn, and Jamie were nothing less then top shelf class to me. Friendly and attentive. Hygienically speaking, MD tattoos should be the STANDARD on which other shops are judged. Honestly, I felt more comfortable getting work done in this studio, then I did getting a checkup in some others Dr.'s offices. THAT'S how clean it is!! :) Jamie, one of Mike's apprentices, kept that shop SQUEEKY clean with a capital S. Thanks again buddy! Mike DeVries did one of the most amazing pieces on my arm. And despite my personal "potty breaks" (LOL) and pauses for a drink of juice and a quick bite to eat to keep my sugar up, Mike rolled with it and never said a word. That's class. I think simply labeling what I had done just a "tattoo" would be an insult to Mike; what i got was quality Ink. 6 hours of some of the most amazing work, talent, and tattoo ability...in the WORLD. I recently finished up my first tattoo at MD with Jamie Parker and couldn't be more pleased. The shop is clean and organized - the artists are all VERY good at what they do, and there is no attitude involved. Some people might get the wrong impression because when you walk in, they are all involved in working on a piece, so they are all pretty busy, but they do try and answer whatever questions they have. You will not be able to just walk in and have work done right then and there, but it should give you a lot of confidence that they are booked so far in advance, that their quality of work creates so much demand for them. They are a bit on the "pricy" side, and getting a first tattoo, I wasn't sure quite how much to expect, but you ARE paying for something that's going to be on you for a while, and you do get what you pay for. I had such a great experience at MD Tattoo Studio that I felt like I had to share. From the moment I walked in, the place was spotless--seriously one of the cleanest shops I've ever been in, which immediately put me at ease. Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming, not intimidating at all (which can definitely happen at some tattoo shops). My artist took the time to really listen to what I wanted, made a few suggestions that actually improved my idea, and never rushed the process. Gavin has always been so attentive and makes sure everything is good. His relaxed attitude helped me feel confident that I could ask questions and be a part of the process. I have been to several tattoo shops and MD's is by far the best. I've walked into different shops where the vibe is uncomfortable and you actually walk out not wanting a tattoo. I've been lucky to find a great artist, Josh Duffy, who I trust with what I bring in. He hears what I want and is able to put his twist on it and make it look amazing. I've been going to this shop for a few years now. Katelyn Crane has been working on me, she's a down chick and an awesome artist! Every artist I've seen here has some amazing talent , this is apparent when you look at the portfolios.. When artists are booked months in advance you know what's up, the best things come to those who wait. Let's just say you get what you pay for! this studio is an awsome studio, from the art work on the walls to all the atrist !! I had Jamie Parker work on my side and ya, it hurt but it looks amazing!!! I got a Japanese forearm tattoo here. All of the artists were super nice and made me feel comfortable. The tattoo lines were clean and identical to the image I showed. My artist had an answer to any question asked and was willing to alter the sketch before hand to my liking. The shop was also clean and organized. Would definitely recommend! read more
