I bought a strapless Galia Lahav that came with shoulder padding, which I was going to ask her to turn into gloves. As I tried on the dress, we started to brainstorm together until Eleni suggested the perfect use -- turning the fabric into delicate straps. The care and time she put into making it the perfect dress was evident, and it completely transformed how I looked and felt -- truly making it my dream dress. She also put so much care into choosing the perfect bustle to make the dress both stunning and functional, and she did a phenomenal job altering my rehearsal dinner dress -- her suggested cut made it incredibly flattering. To top it off, she created my very long tulle veil I had always dreamed of. Throughout the entire process, Eleni was kind, thoughtful, and made everything feel so easy. I dropped several dress sizes from the time I was first measured to my first fitting with Eleni. Eleni remeasured me, took my dress apart and put it back together. And this was not a simple dress. My Galia Lahav gown was 100% sheer lace with an inner corset and bodysuit, off the shoulder straps and covered in embroidered lace appliqués. I went here to see how much it would cost to hem my wedding gown, remove some tulle, take in part of the skirt to give me more of a mermaid look, and take some length off my train. Eleni quoted me nearly $1k and kept asking me where I got my dress and hinting that I should return it because it needed a lot of work. Not what a bride to be wants to hear about the dress she picked. Eleni also kept reminding me that this would take a lot of work that's why it was not cheap. I got two more quotes after that from other seamstresses that were less than half of Eleni's quote. I ended up going elsewhere and paid less than $200 for everything minus hemming the gown which turns out I didn't even need. If you are looking for a more budget friendly place I do not recommend. read more

5:45pm evening before NYE I decided I'm going out to celebrate however I didn't want to deal with the traffic rush, shopping and spending money on an overpriced dress. I bought my dress at Gesinnees bridal in Concord, and heard horror stories about their alterations shop. I found Eleni on Yelp. I am getting alterations to the hip area and shorter length, along with a custom veil and beaded belt (the belt is 2 different belts combined into one!). Also included is an AMAZING corset item she sells that is like nothing else and makes the dress fit so smoothly around my waste and hips. The belt and veil alone were $1000 at Gesinnees - was getting both items for $300 and they are hand made. The price is well worth it as I felt like she was willing to do anything to make sure my dress is perfect for me. I'll update with a final result, but before you check anywhere else go to her! Even though each alteration took a lot of time and effort, Eleni repeatedly assured me she "could do anything." She fixed the bust and altered a heavily beaded, delicate belt without extra charge, as well as added a hoop skirt to make the dress fuller.
