The flowers are high quality, (they thrive even after 1 week), the prices are the best anywhere in the city, and the owner, Francisco, is so nice and accommodating. It was like watching water flow. You created it so effortlessly - a delight to witness. It was like watching Chef Ramsey cooking in the kitchen, just flowing so beautifully and calmly. You were definitely in your element. One thing I feel this business sets itself apart from other flower business is that their flowers lasted me almost quadruple the time for even better prices. I been burned to many times by those online 1-800 florist sending flowers that don't come close to what's in the photos. One time my Valentine's order was left on the doorstep after 11PM, to late because she already blasted my name as a loser to her Mon, Dad, Brothers, and at least 20 plus friends. So Now I go in person pick out or tell them what I want and if they mess up then they are done with me period. So I wanted to get some orchids and the store I wanted to try Orchid Man closes at 5PM, so plan B was Madison Avenue Florist because I remembered that they always got them on their window. Well I was not disappointed, they re-potted them in the vases I picked and 3 weeks later they alive and the flowers still in bloom. Madison is my new go to guy for now. read more

SUCH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT BUY FLOWERS FROM HERE. The "manager" George has such a nasty attitude and couldn't be bothered to help out with an issue created by one of his employees. They sent someone to deliver flowers to my office and the delivery guy absolutely destroyed our bathroom (and by destroy I literally mean human feces all over our floor). When we contacted him to see how we could resolve the issue, he was absolutely nasty over the phone And stated that he was not responsible for his employee's actions. My mother ordered me flowers from CA and specifically asked if they had LAVENDER (sterling) roses. She was told (verbally AND in writing, that YES they did). The roses came. Pink. Light pink, but still pink. She called the florist and was told quite rudely that the flowers were lavender. Um...I've got the roses on my counter. PINK. They sent a different arrangement than I ordered and said they had the right to substitute because they did not have the flowers I ordered available. I was very disappointed because I purposely ordered that specific bouquet because of the flowers it included. The Substitute arrangement was not even close in quality as to what I had ordered. I stopped in here needing a plant for a client. I was on my way to aerating and really wanted to make an impression so I knew I had to get something special. It couldnt be flowers in case of allergies, and it couldn't be an orchid, too high maintenance, so I went with a peace Lilly. The nice man at the counter knew I didn't want to break the bank so he offered me a smaller one for $35.00. It was in a nice planter and he groomed the plant and misted it. He even wrapped it up in tissue and twine and it looked great! When I arrived at my meeting my client was very pleased with their new plant. I think it helped me make a great impression. I found this place when I was running over to my old boss's office to thank her for being a great reference for the new job I just got. I wanted to get her a nice classy arrangement. The guy at Madison Ave. was so great and totally didn't treat me badly for telling him that I had a $40 spending limit. He came up with one of the most beautiful bouquet's I've ever seen. Not a carnation or "filler" in sight! 100% class. He was super friendly and as I was paying for the bouquet looked at me and said "You like yellow, don't you?" Which was weird because I was not wearing it and hadn't mentioned it when we were talking about flowers to use. In fact I'd pointed at some magenta things earlier. But I LOVE yellow. I bought 2 yellow tops this week! Anyway, he went to the case and pulled out a gorgeous yellow rose for me as a gift, and snapped off all the thorns. It was so sweet. i get a text from vinny it reads a dozen of roses in a vase delivered to a girl he is smitten with and it must be done now and it's on my way home or semi close to my area, ok i am a true friend and believe in love (whatever ). this nice smelling florist shop is on madison ave and 50th st and it smells pricey but what the heck it's only money that will not be repaid as usual. i looked around while inside and the assorted flower arrangements are really nice and done well in vases or other containers . i decided on a dz yellow roses in a stain glass looking vase to be delivered to the upper east side at a cost of 120 bucks including delivery . they have flowers for all occasions and when all else fails sent some flowers . read more

I spent $133 on the 'Santorini' for my girlfriend's birthday, the total came to $158 with delivery and tax. HOWEVER, the arrangement was sent without ANY river stones in the bottom of the vase, which is really the only reason that these flowers looked different than any other vase (see picture above). I could have bought a vase and 25 roses, and shipped that to her for A LOT less than $158. I called the shop hoping for a full or at least half refund, and after 15 minutes of hassle and barely understanding them, I got $40 back. The manager stated "The rocks with labor costs were worth $40 total. Therefore I will refund that amount to your credit card"...as if it didn't ruin the entire look of the arrangement. They also offered to redeliver another bouquet to her...again as if it didn't matter that they were delivered 6 days after her birthday and after she already received a knock off. I am pretty easy-going, but this was the worst shopping experience of my life. It was the attitude they gave when I called that really put me over the edge and made me want to comment online so no one else runs into a similar problem. I purchased a flower arrangement over the phone on July 7th, 2014 and spent $250. This is the 3rd $250 arrangement that I have purchased from them in the last 4 months. The flowers seemed to look ok based on the photo that was sent to me. The problem came after. I requested to have a receipt sent to me. Tom the owner said no problem. It never arrived. I called back on July 9th, 2014, today. And Tom is now on vacation for a week. Richie, "just the designer" told me there is nothing that can be done. He didn't know how to take an order. He didn't know anything about the business. And he didn't know how to run a credit card machine, and he has no clue about any paperwork and that I would have to wait for the owner to come back next week. I find it strange that an owner of a business anywhere that would basically shut down his business for a vacation and not leave an incompetent person in charge. When servicing Manhattan I have given them high marks in the past, as has my wife-the recipient of the flowers. When delivering this last time to my home in Queens, it was not as great. They farm it out to other florists and in this case, one that I would not have chosen. Also, by the time the delivery came I could have went out for them myself.
