I recently was looking for a creative florist to help design a unique aviation centerpiece theme for my husband's birthday. I wanted something different and sophisticated with a bit of whimsy. If you are on a budget, I would not recommend working with Madison. My fiance and I met with him to discus our florist needs for our wedding -- which were minimal due to budget constraints. Despite the fact that we came into our meeting with a clear budget and a clear idea of what we wanted, Edison continued trying to up-sell us. We kept having to interrupt him to remind him of exactly what we were there for. After our meeting, he never followed up with a price quote (as promised) and when we followed up, he responded (more than a month after our meeting) saying he "thought he got back to us" and that someone else booked on our date in the meantime so he couldn't help us. It seemed obvious that Edison didn't want to work with us because of our budget. Given that all we needed were 6 bouquets, it seemed like Edison could have simply added us to his list for that day to make up for his mistake of not getting back to us before booking someone else on our date, but he didn't even offer. We were very disappointed and would not recommend him. read more

We cannot say enough about the talents of Madison Floral. They truly delivered a masterpiece that made our wedding day so special. All that we had provided them was three pictures of arrangements to show the color scheme we liked as well providing a basis for a style of arrangement. Other than that, we let the masters of their craft go to work. Resisting the urge to prescribe desired arrangements was one of the best things we have ever done. Not only did it allow us to concentrate on other areas of planning, but in the end we likely would have not gotten the perfect arrangements for our wedding. What also particularly drew us to Madison Floral was their experience working with our unique venue (Museum of Science) which has a particular set of rules, as well as its own quirks for decorating. All our flowers were delivered exactly when they needed to be to the right locations, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Madison Floral are truly outstanding professionals that we were thankful to have had as part of our wedding. (There was apparently a competition to take the centerpieces home at many tables, in fact, we didn't even get one of them as the bride and groom!!!) Edison, Marla and Carlos perfected my wedding. I had the most wedding beautiful flowers and decor I have ever seen. Edison sat with my mom and I for as long as we needed and listened to us to go all of our likes and dislikes. He didn't bat an eye. Marla was wonderful on the phone and even with last minute changes she was accomodating. We had a winter wedding and the color scheme of the flowers tied in with our decor beautifully. We had high hopes for Madison Floral. They sent us great options for floral arrangements for our event, taking into consideration our organization colors and logo. Unfortunately, the flowers were not high quality and definitely not fresh. They looked like they had been sitting around for days before they arrived - or that they had bought leftovers at Haymarket. In addition, some of our 50+ centerpieces were not full. I definitely feel like we paid too much for what we actually got. They're a bit sloppy on customer service, too. His enthusiasm and passion for what he does is truly evident and makes the planning process so much more exciting and FUN. His experience in working across all different types of weddings was HUGE. My husband is Indian so we wanted to incorporate a lot of aspects from his culture into our colors and flowers. Edison provided insight and expertise from Indian weddings he had worked on in the past and made recommendations for a more fusion twist on this. The centerpiece arrangements and bouquets he designed for our big day were absolutely stunning. The color scheme was exactly what I had envisioned - bright, bold and vivid.
