I can't overstate how wonderful the RH team is. We interviewed a lot of design + build firms and they won out (and were very patient along the way as we went back and forth with questions and requests to meet again... and again). This is the first time we've taken on a project like this and I had a lot of anxiety and concerns, and they helped every step of the way helping me understand the what ifs, the process, the opportunities of when or how to modify decisions, etc. We also have a very shy cat who requires some extra care when strangers are around, and the main builder on our project has been so accomodating and respectful of our needs to support her through the construction, and he ensured all other parties did the same. The quality of craftmanship is outstanding, not just the RH crew but all of their subcontractors as well. I hired Tom to draw plans and provide a rendering of the proposed project.   It started well except…read morefor the fact that the City only required the rendering for the zoning application yet Thomas Lonardo continued to draw and design his own proposed project. The attorney consultant on the project and my project manager both told Thomas Lonardo to stop drawing as we should not draw anything or waste any money until the City approves the project. Thomas Lonardo not only ignored the direction of stop drawing, He went ahead and designed a building that will cost 4 times what it will be worth.   When I asked him to draw the rendering for the City he submitted a additional $5000 bill above the contracted amount for a rendering he only charged $800 2 months earlier.   He also then quit the project in the middle after I paid him over $20,000.  He also refused to turn over work that I had paid for and now I am chasing him for it. Had I looked at the public court records, I would not have hired him due to the amount of previous litigation he has had --
