As seems to be the case with most places nowadays, the tables were dirty and everything seemed to be all over the place. We did appreciate that one of the sales associates came over to explain the whole "concept" to us and guide us through the ordering process. The whole operation is so tacky with their fake periodic table, etc, but sure, OK, let's go with it, eye roll. The ice cream situation itself, despite the whole "scientific" nitro-hoopla, is not that great, Our daughter got chocolate with gummy bears, and the chocolate was pretty melty while the (fully intact) gummy bears were hard as a rock. And the gummy bears were extra large and seemingly all orange-flavored?? Our kiddo complained that they tasted like pure orange peels, and she barely ate half of her cup. The "ubelicious" was good flavor-wise, but again, the ice cream was kinda melty and the pieces of oreo in it were massive. One of us got the biscoff, which was the thickest of the lot, but it was almost too thick that it felt like creamy cement. So, overall, nothing was quite right here. Prices are steep, and the vibe just wasn't our thing, and the ice cream wasn't anything to write home about. So, overall, meh.

Between the two of us, we tried the pistachio creme brûlée (an absolute must) and the lemon cookie (you can skip it), and their version of Dubai chocolate (pretty good) and nougat wafer (very good). Our kiddo got sorbet (mango and strawberry) which were OK. The Pop-Pop got some insane cookie situation where they literally pour melted chocolate onto the ice cream first and then proceed to scoop it out! That was a highlight. Unfortunately, it's everything else about this place that made it so unappealing. There was a huge crowd on Saturday night, and you have people behaving with no manners: crowding the cases, endless samples, FaceTiming the ice cream on their phones, etc. etc. It's miserable and really loud, and while we have to say that the staff handled everything pretty patiently, it was just an unpleasant place to physically be in (not least because the tables were all filthy and unwiped). If we had been here on a different day with a different vibe, then we would probably land on four stars, so there is a possibility we might come back with more strategic timing.

Keep an eye out for the charming blue-and-white stand topped with American flags, set back from the road, it's easy to miss, but worth seeking out. The Siciliano family has been serving the Miami community for decades. In October 1961, Louis Siciliano opened a sub shop at 711 NW 119th Street in Miami. Although the original location has since closed, the family legacy continues with Siciliano's Frozen Custard and the neighboring Sub Center and Siciliano's Subs, all operated by members of the Siciliano family. Don Drybread, Louis Siciliano's great-grandson, originally opened the custard stand as Uncle Tony's Frozen Custard before renaming it Siciliano's in honor of his mother's side of the family. Siciliano's specializes in frozen custard, which differs from traditional ice cream by containing egg yolks and being churned with less air. The result is a denser, richer, silkier dessert with a smooth texture. It's also served at a slightly warmer temperature than ice cream, allowing you to savor its rich flavor. The custard is made fresh throughout the day, ensuring the perfect consistency every time. Custard is offered in the classic flavors of vanilla, chocolate, and a twist of both, available in cups or cones with your choice of nuts, candy, fruit, or sauce toppings. The menu also features sundaes, sorbet, milkshakes, and their signature thick Hurricanes. For something a little different, Carolyn's Creations transforms the custard into treats like cannolis, dessert tacos, and ice cream sandwiches. I ordered a medium vanilla custard topped with butterscotch and it was so satisfying. The rich, creamy custard made the perfect treat on a hot summer day. There isn't any indoor seating, but there are picnic tables next to the Sub Center, which is great spot to savor your sub or custard.
