Thanks to another regular Yelper who visits here more often than we care to admit, I got to check…read moreout La Boulangerie in Aventura after a reformer class that definitely earned me a bite of their ever so delicious bakery treats. Since that first visit, I've already been back... and now I've made hubby a fan. Not just of the treats I kept bringing home, but of the whole experience. We've been seated quickly every time, and the menu is straightforward with monthly breakfast and dinner specials to keep things interesting. Their July breakfast absolutely hit it out of the park for me. The eggs were nice and creamy, paired with fresh tomatoes, thinly sliced and salted avocado, cottage cheese drizzled with EVOO and micro greens, and fresh sourdough breadsticks. It may sound like a simple plate which, I admit, it is, but when you work out as much as I do, you learn to appreciate a meal that's high in protein, fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. This checked every box and easily became my jam even to duplicate at home. Now, onto the bakery...Hubby's current obsessions are the pistachio and chocolate almond croissants. They're generously sized, and they are not stingy with the filling. I have a feeling that's exactly why the bakery counter is constantly buzzing with takeout bags and pickup orders. I also have to give their coffee some love. I usually try coffee black (or with just a touch of sugar) because I actually want to taste it, and their Americano was singing to me with its rich aroma, and smooth flavor. Needless to say, this has become one of my top breakfast spots. I even signed up for their rewards program, which means I'll happily be cashing in my $15 birthday reward... though let's be honest, I'll probably be back several times before then.

The food came out quickly and tasted ok--nothing special. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. Our server never smiled, and it wasn't just with our table; we noticed the same interaction with other guests as well. There was no greeting, no check-in during the meal, and the service felt like it was simply taking our order and coming back with the check. The food was enjoyable, but the lack of hospitality really affected the overall experience. Sadly, we probably won't be back.

The baked treats are all dairy free, egg free and vegan. We purchased the banana mini cake which was moist and delish. The big deal is every Tuesday with $2.00 mini cakes. We came on a very busy time since there were over twenty customers on a food walk tour trying to get their baked treats at once and it seemed the person behind the counter was overwhelmed, and I was too. The shop had really nostalgic items from the 70s and 80s scattered around the room including old albums and toys with a nice giant blue velvetish shoe seat. The parking was easy on the street for $1.50 an hour so not bad at all. They do offer a big parking garage too.

Immediately I was drawn in by the amazing music playlist that was playing and was immediately in awe by their cool things they had! Lots of vintage, lots of music, a little bit of everything! They have coffee, ice cream, and cakes! They are vegan, and have a lot of alternatives like no dairy c no eggs and such. The woman who helped us was super nice and attentive and was sure to get our order in. I'll definitely be sure to visit again !!

I've been twice. Not the same experience, but both good:…read more Once for lunch on a slow weekday. I sat inside by the window. Amazing scenery over the lake/inter-coastal. I had a burger and fries. It was fantastic. It was not busy, and I got very attentive personalized service. I watched the game on the tv and worked a bit. Food was delicious. View was perfect. Service as top notch. 5 stars. Once for brunch on a busy Saturday (today). I got steak and eggs. It was good. For some reason when I order medium well I get well done unless at a steak house, and this was no different. Overcooked, but good. For $26 I'm not complaining at all. Came with has browns, two eggs, and fresh bread. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The Saturday hostess should be in another business. She didn't do bad, but she is just not a hostess material. No warmth. No smile. No welcome. She did her job and I got a table (after spending 5 minutes looking for the host stand. It's outside. I went through the front door and never saw it and there are no signs). On the other hand, the server was great. Very polite, friendly, and attentive. Coffee and water stayed full. View outside was the same as inside, but with fresh air. Watching the boats and Florida fish like tarpon is fun. Water is calm and beautiful. I recommend Giorgio's. Good prices, good food, good service. Not perfect, but 4.5 stars in aggregate.
