What followed was a 15 day ordeal like none other. 3/14 I received a price sheet for the demo Murano, and a basic quote for a 2023 model. The SUV for mom/gma is more urgent, so I schedule an appointment for 3/17 to see both a white and a gray Jeep Cherokee I had also found on their site. The gray one was a bit over $21k. Before getting to the appointment 3/17, I saw the gray Jeep had jumped in price overnight by about $2k. When I asked about it, I was then told it wasn't at their location, though it was on their site just like the white one. Fine, we looked at the white one, which was ruled out as gma's wheelchair wouldn't fit. But, we did find a 2017 Nissan Rogue everyone liked. We had two trade-ins, and I had gma pre-approved for BofA financing. They said we had to finish the BofA application in office. We left the truck trade-in with them, the Rogue was to be cleaned, have final inspection, and be delivered to us Monday 3/20 when they'd take the other trade in. Between 3/20-3-29, I was given varying stories about a part for the heater that needed to be replaced. It was ordered, backordered, delayed, an additonal part needed, service team backed up, new part backordered, wrong part installed, backordered, delayed, Nissan's entire system went down, etc... For 9 days. I also found out that credit was applied for through other lenders in my gma's name, and a loan was secured at a higher rate than what we walked in with from BofA. It was reduced when I found this out, in an effort to keep me from canceling the deal. They also said they'd cover the amount of the small down payment we were making, as a gesture of goodwill and apology. I agreed to wait until the 29th, when I was promised the Rogue would be delivered as they already had the new part. 3/29 - no call, no contact from anyone. I reach out to find out what time to expect delivery only to be told yet again, the part isn't even there. We had gone 12 days at that point with them having our trade-in, and us having nothing in return. So I had had enough, and I told them we'd come pick up our truck trade-in in about an hour and cancel the sale, which we did. We actually got some pushback when I asked to have the contract shredded in front of us, but they did do it. The 15 day experience had been a nightmare, but at least it was over. So we thought... As if there wasn't already enough to the story, the first time my mother went to drive the trade-in truck the day after getting it back, a piece of an interior door panel fell off. It had been removed, broken, and super-glued to reattach, but it didn't hold. (see pics) It cannot be reattached now as they broke the clips, as well. Additionally, she found the cigarette lighter missing. We then found another small panel, behind the hood release mechanism, had also been removed, and simply wedged back behind the hood release. I can't begin to imagine what caused them to do these things. I have never had such an incredibly ridiculous experience at any dealership as I did here at Gilchrist Southwest Nissan. They have lost my service business for my current Murano, the sale and service of a vehicle for my mother and grandmother, and the future sale and service of my new Murano. I would warn anyone looking to buy a vehicle to look somewhere, anywhere else, other than Southwest Nissan, or any Gilchrist owned dealership.

Dalton answered the phone as we were in Stephenville and said to try a great things but bring it in if that didn't work. We took the car in and were seen immediately. They updated some software, did a thorough check and reset the warnings. In addition, they offered their courtesy driver, Ricky, to take us to a nearby restaurant. To top it off, everything was covered under warranty. Dalton offered to order a replacement part (also covered by warranty) but we weren't going to be there on Monday, as we live 4 hours away. What an outstanding group of people! I highly recommend this company and can't thank everyone enough!

They claimed to have fixed my son's car and my son and daughter went to pick it up. My son got about 10 miles from the dealership when all lights started flashing and car shut down on a busy highway. He had to coast to the side. So many cars almost hit him. Tow company had trouble getting to him cause of how busy it was. Car was towed back to VW for more repairs but received no call from anyone in service or supervisor. I first tried for a 2026 Ford Explorer ST but then the next day sent Travis and Kolby some ST's from the preowned side. They were able to submit everything to financing while I was at work. The whole team at Southwest Ford went above and beyond and I ended up leaving with the preowned ST I wanted. Travis even drove it out to my house because I was in another vehicle and needed help getting the new ST to my house. Very professional team. I will definitely continue to use SW Ford!

The WORST consumer experience of my life! We bought a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 from Jerry's Hyundai and…read morewe LOVED the car. The ICCU unit failed and the vehicle could not be driven. It was towed to to Jerry's Hyundai on May 19, 2025. It took them several days to determine what the problem was, then then I was told that they didn't know how to fix it and had to wait for the national repair problem center (or something to that effect) to get back to them. They finally figured out what was wrong with it the car and how to go about fixing it. At this time I was working with "Kim" at Hyundai National Consumer Affairs, and while she was very nice and sympathetic, she was not able to get the dealership to contact either me or her. Kim seemed to gather information from me to put together with information she was getting from the dealership but had no ability to actually help in any way. (BTW, the service advisor, Bobby Lewis, almost never answered his phone and the only way I could find out what was going on with my car was to visit him in person at the dealership). OK - NOW it's June 1 and get a call from Bobby Lewis telling my that the part had come in BUT the hail storm the night before did a lot of damage and that I should contact MY insurance company. It seems that your dealership only has insurance for their own cars, NOT their customers' cars. So.. I'm out the 500 dollar deductible for my own insurance. A few days later, I was also told by Kim that the dealership ordered the wrong part and it was not compatible with the car. After not getting any response from Bobby Lewis about when the new ICCU part would arrive, I went to complain to the General Manager, Doyle Maynard, of the dealership, he said that my wife and I were lying - I told him that "Kim" at the National Consumer Affairs told me that the first part was the wrong part, Doyle said that she didn't know what she was talking about and that they DIDN'T order the wrong part, and that Bobby called us on several occasions. His quote was "I saw the call sheets on the account." I asked him to see those call sheets and he said NO. - By the way, I have a recording of part of the conversation between myself and Doyle Maynard where he argued with me about who was telling the truth. This conversation was not pleasant and Doyle was very aggressive and tried his best to intimidate me and my wife. And I'm pretty sure that all the calls between myself and Kim from the HNCA department were recorded and could be reviewed. FAST FORWARD (actually SLOW forward) and my car was able to drive on July 11 (May19 to June 11) with $18,000 of hail damage. I took it to Jerry's Collision and finally got the car back on October 1, 2025. I must say that the people I worked with at the Collision Center were very nice and responsive, BUT they also made several mistakes that increased the time for the repair. Geico said "20 days" for the repair, Donnie Kern told me they were busy and said it would be more like "30 days". It ended up being 10 weeks! Josh Mayfield was very nice, and due to an error by one of the technicians, a critical part was thrown away and they had to find and order a new part which was going to delay the repair even more. Josh offered to pay our rental car fee from the time the discarded part issue was discovered until we got our car back. This was very nice of him to make this offer and he was always a gentleman and very responsive. Not at all the horrible experience we had at the service department with Bobby Lewis and Doyle Maynard! I'd say that the work that the Collision Center did was very good, but not quite excellent. I can still see some very minor non-smoothness where some of the dents were repaired, and the paint job on the new hood was not great. All in all, it was a truly horrible experience with Jerry's Hyundai and I will NOT be taking my car back to Jerry's Hyundai again, ever!

FRAUDULENT SALES PRACTICES - TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY. I only rate this dealership a "1"…read morebecause I can't give a "0" or a negative number. My father in law purchased a new Hyundai Elantra from Jerry's last April . When he bought the car he told me he financed it , but that I needn't worry , he had taken out a credit life insurance policy through the dealership that would pay off the loan if he passed away before the car was paid off of ( he took out a loan through Hyundai Motors even though he had paid cash for he last several cars because of these assurances) . Well , he died Jan 11 of this year. As his executor , I started working my way through his finances I found the paperwork from his purchase. I called the dealership , they told me they no longer offer these policies , they would look into this and get back to me . A week went by without hearing from them . I then called the company that underwrites these policies - . Gave them my father in law's name , they couldn't find the policy . Gave them customer number , deal number , and policy number - still could not find it . They asked me how old my father in law was . He was 87 when he made the purchase . The representative told me they didn't underwrite these policies for people in their 80s. ( sure enough the fine print stated that anyone 66 yrs old or older was ineligible for the policy.) He clearly wrote his DOB on the application . Of note is the fact that the underwriting firm never even received an application from the dealership I called the dealership again and was once again given the run around . Was told they don't sell these policies anymore and couldn't find anything , asked me to text or email them the paperwork - I did - sales and finance contracts , as well as policy application . The GM of the dealership called me back to tell me there was nothing he could do about it . I asked him why they sold him the policy when the policy clearly stated anyone who had reached 66 years of age was not eligible. They charged him for the policy and rolled it into the loan amount . Then , the policy application was never sent to the insurance company. No attempt was made to tell my father in law that he didn't qualify for the policy , nor was any modification made to the loan amount to reflect this change . I then asked if it was SOP to take advantage of older customers in their 80s . ( there was a number of superfluous 'spiffs' that they sold him were unnecessary including a "GAP coverage policy , a "Anti Theft Protection Certificate " even though the car was equipped with Anti Theft device ,as well as the ubiquitous $1000 "protection plan" ) They basically saw an old man coming and worked him for every last dime ! I asked what they were going to do . I was told I NEEDED to call the finance company and have them come and pick up the car . I did - they picked it up 2 weeks ago , then sent a letter to the deceased , stating they took back the car because "he broke a promise to them" . I didn't realize he made a promise to them that he wasn't going to die . If anything , THEY ( Jerry's Hyundai and Hyundai Motors ) broke a promise to him by telling him he qualified for a credit life policy . I thought I'd seen it all but this definitely sets a new low . I just don't want anyone else to be taken advantage of by fraudulent and unscrupulous businessmen

This is my second car purchased from this dealership…read more I liked the sales people with whom I dealt but the sale was riddled with the classic schemes of lesser dealers of the past. This is NOT the Jerry's Hyundai I encountered in 2019, but a business mimicking the dreaded Shottenkirk empire of dealerships, famous for their deceptions. Online, I downgraded my near show-condition low-mileage trade for tiny blemishes, rating it as Very Good. Jerry's valued it at about $2,100 below the going market price. I deemed that as acceptable considering the tax advantage and effort of selling. When I arrived with the car at Jerry's for an initial test drive, the salesperson agreed and took multiple photos of the car. We test-drove the 2026 Tucson I'd found online. I brought my wife back the next day for a final drive and possible purchase. We opted for a slightly more expensive model, adding $2,740 to the MRSP. When the initial numbers were handed to me, they seemed unusually high: the dealer had devalued my trade-in $3,300 or about 18%. When I apologized to my wife for bringing her to the dealership under the false pretense of a reasonable trade and announced my intention to leave, the dealership agreed to honor the online appraisal. Still, our projected bottom line was off. Lo and behold, at the final tally a new $1,495 item labeled "Accessories" that was not on the window sticker had suddenly appeared in their cost estimates. "This is just for window tinting and nitrogen in the tires," the salesperson explained. Undetectable window tinting and nitrogen? No documentation for tinting film, no tinting contractor contact information, no discernible darkness of the windows. Nitrogen costs little more to use in lieu of air for inflation. I should know, as a former Air Force instructor pilot of ten years, an airline captain with a 33-year career: we always used nitrogen in our tires. Granted, I have purchased dozens of cars beginning in 1972, and have encountered similar sales tactics in the past. But, based on my 2019 Jerry's purchase, the detailed online cost itemization, and initial interaction with the stellar sales staff, I felt this transaction would be transparent, straightforward and free of surprises. Not quite. Buyers need to beware that these methods are now being used at Jerry's and factor them into your comparisons with other dealers' offerings in advance.

They say it is up to the Texas clearing house for titles, being the problem. They are in breach of contract for going past the required 60 days deadline.
