I first tried for a 2026 Ford Explorer ST but then the next day sent Travis and Kolby some ST's from the preowned side. They were able to submit everything to financing while I was at work. The whole team at Southwest Ford went above and beyond and I ended up leaving with the preowned ST I wanted. I called on Monday, March 16 about issues with the A/C system on my Ford pickup and asked for an estimate to replace everything under the hood. I was told they would get back to me after the technicians reviewed it. I followed up multiple times throughout the week--Monday evening, then Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday--and received no response. It wasn't until Thursday, March 26, when I called again and couldn't even get an answer, that they finally returned my call. At that point, I explained my frustration and told them I now understand why they have a low rating on Yelp. Poor communication and lack of follow-through. I purchased a new vehicle there in 2025 with intentions of having all service done there. 2 complementary oil changes were enough to know I chose the wrong dealership. 2.5 hours for a oil change to be completed that I scheduled at 9:30AM. My truck had to have been sitting for at least 1.5 hours before being touched. I will get my last complimentary oil change there and never return to these amateurs. Went in to test Drive Expedition Limited Stock #s 241459 242200 identical trim packages (2024 USED Courtesy Vehicles both w/ 3K miles +/- each) trying to sell as new vehicles. Lie #1 Dealt with Chris H, nice enough guy. But then you get Ryan involved and the bait and switch begins never honoring the price listed on the dealer website, in fact raising the price up and down 4 times this Friday, so we walked out said we will think about it. As we were leaving I reminded Ryan you have 34 Expeditions on your lot, I don't need to buy one, we explained this to you all in the beginning of the conversation. Spoke with Chris H.through text his last line read "We will not miss your business". So I texted him back and simply asked do you really mean that last line? His response (without reading back) I never say anything I don't mean". I replied, Really you meant "We will not miss your business". Took him a day but I guess maybe someone read it to him or maybe he actually go it - We went back in Friday - and Chris H.was busy so we started working with Elijah, always stating we don't want Chris H.to miss out and we don't want a 1K car payment, again enters Ryan to mess up the deal, First Elijah went back and forth twice then Ryan two more times, Ryan must think people are stupid and can't read, don't have a memory of the previous encounter or how many times he keeps changing the price on the vehicle. the vehicles were listed on their website as 65571 and 65759 (Remember these are both Courtesy Vehicles Considered Used 2024 with +/- 3K miles on them (advertised on their website with less miles) that was Lie #2. They jacked the price at one time to over 91K what the are they thinking. They say you can't have the website price and a low interest rate, I am calling Bull (you know what) these guys are full of garbage, bait and switch tactics at the highest level. A good salesman wants the sale and will make anything happen including listening and hearing your customer (which Ryan lacks in both aspects). A customer can have both - but when you are a greedy dealership - you just keep baiting and switching the price up. You Need to Sell the Expedition, because at this point you now have 37 Expeditions on your lot all/or most with the 2024 Year on them. I ended the call for I was in the store and don't have more time to waste on this nonsense. I told MR. Extension 5895, I paid cash for my King Ranch Expedition, and my husband just made a 1M deal with a hospital system - my husband went to the table with a deal, they countered, he met them in the middle and bam he landed the deal - he had no need to go back and forth so many wasteful times and ruin it - So comparing this Southwest Ford and my husband - I guess my husband understand the Art of a Deal. Buyer beware before you step in the dealership, take photos of the paperwork they bring with the continual changes in price and payment, I think the Gilchrist family, should pay more attention to their customer treatment and ratings, simply because Ryan and Ext 5895 does not. Well I see that these people do the bait and switch on everyone. We saw a Ford Edge on their website listing it at a certain price with a certified warranty. My husband talked to Edwin on the phone about that specific car. We went out on Saturday fully expecting to drive it off the lot. Carlos was our finance guy. He brings in a sheet of paper with the car listed about $7500 higher than the online price. Then starts asking the age old trick question "what do you want your payment to be?" We finally started out the door and he brings out the paper with the online price. He tells us we are personally attacking him by leaving. When I asked about a certified warranty he tells me he would have to take it in the back to see if it qualifies to be certified. So why lie online? We head to our car and the sales manager comes out. On the way home we get another phone call. All we kept hearing was "we are required to show you the higher prices." That night I left a review on Google. I received an email from them about their end-of-the-year truck sale! So I called and spoke to Kadin an set up an appointment to hopefully purchase a new truck. The day of the appointment I met with Kadin, and he showed me the truck that I said I was interested in. Turns out it had severe hail damage and was a courtesy truck. I immediately said no! I am looking for a brand new vehicle. I explained to him that I plan to trade my 2019 F-150 Platinum for a brand new F-150 Platinum. he then pointed out a few Platinum trucks. Kadin said that he would go in and get the keys. When he returned, we got in a platinum F-150 and he said are you ready to take it for a spin i said yes, and i drove it around the block, the whole time I was driving he was pointing out features of the truck. when I parked and turned off the vehicle, Kadin said are you ready to buy and I said it all depends if we can make a deal. We got back to his office, and I asked how many miles is on the truck that I was trying to buy, and his manager, Blake stepped in and told me 48 miles, and I said great lets see if we can make a deal. Kadin ask me for my keys and took my truck to have it appraised. When he returned, he offered me $20,000 for my truck and $1000 off the new truck. Of course, I said no, and we went back and forth. to the point that Blake came over and emphasized that i was getting a brand new truck! At no time did they disclose that this truck was a demo truck. After making a deal for what i believed a new truck, Blake returned with a iPad and said that now they do everything digitally and that the process would be quick, so I signed it was now 8 pm i had been there since 11 am. The finance guy called me in and I signed maybe five or six papers that he quickly put in front of me and he wanted me to buy an extended warranty but i said no then he said that he was giving me free oil changes for a year and had me sign a paper that he went over and on that paper the milage was written in at 48 miles he printed it and the folded some 15 documents put them in an envelope and handed them to me with my keys it was know 8:30 pm and i still had a 2 hour drive back home. The next day I opened the envelope and went over the documents, and that was when i discovered the truck had 4623 miles on it. I could not believe my eyes. So I contacted Kadin and informed him that i did not appreciate the deception and that they needed to make it right. The following day, Nick called and said he was the sales manager and to call him back. I explained everything that happened. he tried to tell me that it's a new truck. I explained that it would of made a big difference in the price and the factory warranty he tried to say that my truck was pro-rated, so that extra 4623 miles would not count against my factory warranty that was another lie. I told Nick that i wanted to be compensated by the dealer take off $2.00 for every mile that was on the vehicle at the time of the sale! and then take it off the amount financed. I then explained that it mattered because I wasn't the person who would break in the engine, and who knows how this truck was treated as a demo. I've purchased three new vehicles from this dealership, an F150, an Edge and a Bronco Sport. All three were advertised specials and I think I got a good price each time, on the purchase that is. The dealership uses advertised specials to create traffic and try and upsell customers, though they will honor the ads if they have to. The downside comes in two forms. First, they offer way, way below market for the trade in. Second, once you are in the finance room, they pressure the hell out of you to get extended warranties, glass coverage, or whatever. Just say no over and over to the finance guy until they finally let you go. Then take your trade in to Carmax. My first two vehicles were sold to me by Greg shields, a pretty nice guy. The last one was sold to me by a younger guy who had no qualms about outright lying to me about a zero percent finance offer, claiming it was only available if I paid more than the advertised special price. I refused and he finally relented and I got the advertised price and the zero percent financing. I walked away with a very good deal, after I sold my trade in at Carmax. Just know they will lie and pressure you. If you can handle that, you can get a good deal here. read more

SERVICE DEPARTMENT I made a service appointment with Dietrich Sancillo, a service technician, on 10-14-24 for my 17-year-old daughter's vehicle, a 2017 Ford Fusion. The appointment was regarding some noises coming from the drivetrain/engine compartment. The vehicle has been there before numerous times for major transmission issues and the noise sounded similar to the noises we heard in the past. It was there for almost three months at one point to locate the problem. When my daughter arrived today, she said Dietrich looked at the vehicle and went for a test drive in it but could not duplicate the issue. She updated me via text. When she updated me, I told her to make sure she gets the paperwork/work order documenting that we brought the vehicle in due to the fact the Ford Factory Premium warranty is expiring on 10-20-2024 and it could be related to the past issues. She told me that Dietrich told her that there was no paperwork/work order being generated due to the fact he could not duplicate the issue. So I called in to speak to Dietrich further and get clarification about that because that did not sound right to me. Upon calling in and speaking to Dietrich, I explained the above to him. I asked if he could confirm for me what my daughter was telling me. He responded with an attitude and began telling me that we are on a recorded line. Not sure why he felt the need to go from 0-60 as I was merely asking a simple question that did not prompt him to speak to me in a disrespectful manner. So naturally, I responded the same way he was speaking to me and told him I am not going to play that Sh** about him emphasizing the recorded line. No need to be rude or disrespectful and point out to me that the line is being recorded, really??? Why??? He then cut me off and said I can just speak to a service manager. If he is going to be dealing with the public he may want to consider his delivery and approach! Because he escalated a situation that could have been resolved and avoided a complaint just by communicating in a professional manner and answering my question. It was that simple. He does not appear to be someone you want to represent you in the public's eye. In any event, I will be filing a complaint and contacting the General Manager. If you want to get ripped off this is the place for you. I would like to thank Jesse (Sales Manager and Ryan Salesman) for hands down THE WROST experience I have ever had in attempting to buy a car. Wanted to Lease a F-150 SLX under $600, Ford had a $443 deal on lower MSRP models so the extra was to account for the higher cost. Over the phone I was told no problem, sounds reasonable come down. First red flags were Ryan mentioning he didn't know Ford leased trucks and maybe lease 1 in his 13 months making me feel uncomfortable. He then continued his string of lies mentioning if I leased they would only go off MSRP not any sale prices. Finally I was sat down before running my credit and show my numbers. I did have a trade which was KBB 34K (what I owed) and after this sold it to Moritz for 36K. Southwest offered 19K for the trade and presented me with a $2200 a month payment. Even with my negative equity is was 60K ish. I was told I would have to pay DOUBLE the value of the truck and my negative equity. They didn't even run my credit which was in the 800's. I hope whoever reads this sits down with them, goes over this review and the learn from this situation because it was handled terribly. My nightmare with Southwest Ford began in October '21. I traded in my Cadillac for a ford escape, only to discover that they gave me the wrong escape. I was back up there two hours later to get the right car, no big deal because the cars were very similar, I didn't notice right away. Turns out it was intentional because they didn't have the car I wanted. I wanted my Cadillac back and was told they had already gotten rid of it... In two hours?? So, some months down the road my air conditioner started leaking on my feet every time I used it. Brought the car in and after a few days was told the master cylinder for the brakes was bad and they had to order parts. I never knew that when you had a bad master cylinder it caused cold water to leak on your floor only when the air conditioner is turned on. I finally got my car back and as soon as I turned on the air conditioner, it started leaking. I had a recall for my fuel injectors and it wasn't fixed and they refused to look at it a second time although there was a second recall, CSP, for it. The last time I had my car in for the air conditioner, back up camera and randomly not starting, they kept my car for a good while, but didn't fix anything. When I came to get my car, I was told by the service manager that I would hear from him by Tuesday. I was there on a Friday, and I still haven't heard a thing. That was December 29, 2023. I also have an open recall on my driver's side door, it won't open all the way, the window won't roll down and sometimes it closes properly and sometimes it doesn't. That's very dangerous to be driving and there's a possibility that your door might pop open, they won't get in touch with me about that, either. I've been stuck with this broken car and they couldn't care less. I'm sure this seems dramatic and exaggerated, but I actually have texts, emails and pictures. I hope this review helps someone avoid the same problems and if my experience is a rare one and most customers are happy, I think that's great. But it's good to know what you might possibly encounter. Obviously I'd give zero stars if that was an option. Please keep this in mind when looking for a car because clearly you and your safety will not be considered. read more

Let me explain my one star... The dealership: no Issues at all. The salesman: Jose was great and handled everything The vehicle: 2023 Ford F-150 platnium. I have now had the truck for about one month and it is a pile of crap. The quality flat out sucks. I'm really sorry I was so stupid to buy American. So here are the issues: the car will sometimes start abs sometimes it won't. When it doesn't start there is a red warning light that comes on. The ford roadside assistance is someone in the Philippines who is totally clueless. Today, the same issue hits again and they are unable to come tow until Monday as apparently there is some issue with the towing company? I asked what should I do for tomorrow considering I have to work, the lady then tells me to call the dealership and ask if I can get a car. Is that a joke? Really? The ford app also flat out sucks. I have bought multiple vehicles from this dealer with good results. Recently ; however, they priced a super duty that was not exactly what I wanted for 15,000. over invoice. That would have made the vehicle just under 100,000. So I ordered a new King Ranch from another dealer , getting exactly what I wanted for about 20,000. less. Don't bother stopping. As for service, last week I dropped an older super duty off for new brakes and a 7 pin trailer light issue. Brakes cost 1100. And I was told I have a wiring issue with the lights; requiring 3-5 days to asses the issue. In addition , they priced (unsolicited) a new front end repair over 3,000. There is something to be said about how a man treats a woman. More so how a service manager treats a customer who happens to be a woman. I received a recall letter from Ford concerning our Raptor, and I took it in this morning to be fixed. You could have sworn the money for the repair was coming out of the service manager's own paycheck. I explained what the issue was, presented the recall letter I received from Ford, and the snot nosed response I received straight from the horse's mouth, "No, these types of things do not happen here. No, not in this area. They don't happen here." Okay, so what part of the recall letter did he not understand? Obviously, he doesn't speak Spanish and that's why it's written in both languages. I do not appreciate him calling me a liar and trying to dismiss me. I would think any kind of manager would have common sense on how to treat others, some kind of customer service training, and a richer vocabulary. Shame on you for treating anyone in this manner, ESPECIALLY a woman! I am almost certain this is not the first complaint on his track record. My son bought a new 2023 F150 Lariat from John Garside and Ed Resendez told him he must purchase a $15,000 warranty, YES you heard that correctly, $15,000 warranty! Ed told him that if he didn't buy the $15,000 warranty he would have to give him a higher rate and restructure the deal so he needed to buy the $15,000 warranty. My son is a 100% Disabled Veteran and asked for the $500 Ford military rebate and was told he didn't qualify because he's not retired, he's medical retired, they said no. They gave him below trade value on his 2021 Ford F150 trade too. Found Multiple same trucks as his new purchase 10,000+ dollars cheaper at another dealer online. He was told they wouldn't do that price if we went there. I was there to sign off on his 21 I co-signed on. My beloved Toyota Camry was totaled in January when another driver ran a red light and hit me. That Camry had gone through everything with me -- high school, college, getting married, moving across the country (twice!), and everything in between. Saying that I was crushed would be an understatement...losing that car felt like the "end of an era" and I was certainly not prepared to let go. When we found out that Southwest Ford had a pre-owned Toyota RAV4 Limited we immediately drove up to Weatherford from Waco and arrived a few minutes before closing. Wyatt graciously stayed for 2 hours after closing to pull strings and help me buy my dream car at a price we could afford. I appreciated that the condition of the car was made a priority before it was even shown to customers -- other area dealerships wouldn't detail, change the oil, or replace cracked windshields on their pre-owned inventory until after a car was purchased. My new RAV4 had already had the windshield replaced and was sparkling clean when we arrived that night, and Wyatt even went out to give it a little extra love while we were inside signing paperwork. It's been two months since my purchase and I am still thrilled with this car. Every day that I get to ride in the RAV with the windows down, moonroof open, and listening to a little Jimmy Buffett on the radio is a perfect day in my book. Although I still lament the tragic loss of my Camry, I am beyond happy with my new car and can't wait to enjoy it for years to come. Hopefully I won't have to buy another car anytime soon, but I will definitely come back to Southwest Ford the next time I do! read more

This place dirty deleted my review on their Facebook page. They deleted others as well I noticed. We dropped our 2021 Thor motorhome there Nov 1 and when I actually talked to him the day after we dropped it off as he wasn't there that evening, I found this out after waiting on him for an hour in the store, he said the techs wouldn't get to look at it until Thanksgiving week understandable. It's now been 4 weeks and I've called twice to check on it and Colton seems to have trouble with returning calls to me. We have another place that is needing yo work on it as well to get it winterized and they keep calling me every week to see when I can get it in. I can't speak for the rest of your business only on the service advisor Colton but maybe y'all should have more than one person who is a motorhome specialist since y'all are the only ones who work on them in the area under warranty. So this post only reflects the service, or in this case extreme lack of service I've received from him. read more

Paid $374 for an oil change and a small light bulb. The service advisor said the "Works" package includes a wash and vacuum, yet my truck was filthy even though they had it for 2 days. Nobody called when my truck was done, the paperwork wasn't ready when I showed up, and the service advisor offered me a "3-minute car wash" for my troubles. I'm in the market for a brand new F-150... I'll be buying it elsewhere. On a positive note, Xan was a very nice guy and knows how to treat people. I still owe him a tip from my shuttle ride and I will go back ONLY to reward Xan for being a kind human being. read more

My mom called and made an appointment for a vehicle recall repair. We drop her vehicle off. Less than 5 mins later they call her and say it will be 3-5 days before they can get to it. Who schedules you for an appointment knowing why you are bringing your vehicle in when they can't get to it in a timely manner? I recommend calling the Service Manager because this is horrible customer service. She does and his response is "it works for them". Do not use them! When did customer service start being about what works for the company and not the customer? I discourage anyone using someone who doesn't value their customers time and opinion. read more
