If you find something you like and want to offer less than the price listed, the employee working can usually contact the seller via telephone to make your offer. It can get pretty crowded on the weekends and the place is crowded with items for sale already. Definitely not the place for a small child unless you plan on buying a lot of broken items. Otherwise, leave the toddlers at home. Every time I have been in here, the employee working has always been very polite and welcoming. You will usually find yourself in a conversation with either the employ ye or other customers within a few minutes of entering the front door. Lots and lots of things that will have you saying, "Wow! Remember that?". I'm a Pontchartrain Beach nut and have found items here that I haven't seen even on eBay. Art, furniture, architectural items, papers, toys and more can be found here. For those in a wheelchair, there's a ramp on the side of the store. Ox-lots are available for parking nearby. If you don't know what that is, maybe you should visit Covington. I rated the Copper Rooster as "inexpensive" but it really depends on the piece you are buying.

That's how consignment works, so I'm not sure why folks are complaining about not getting much for their consigned items. If no one wants it, it takes time and discounts to move it off the floor. If it doesn't sell, I've taken things back and sold myself on FB marketplace. I just don't like doing that for everything. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and honest if they don't think they'll be able to sell something for you.

If you're out of town absolutely stop here! Husband spent $50 & got 7 amazing vinyls (including an unopened one & a promotional funk music album). I got a fill-a-bag of vintage buttons for $2, a little tapestry, bronze ashtrays, couple witchy Santa ornaments, hand carved wooden trinket tray (perfect to display my ren faire trinkets), couple of animal pins, axe earrings ($2! Would've been way overpriced at the faire), & a nutcracker mug. I also spent $50; even after splurging at faire for our honeymoon, we loved every treasure we got here! I always stick to the cheap area on the right. So far I've bought a futon, a tall shelving unit with wicker sides, a ~5' tall bookcase, and a rice cooker. Most things have stickers with dates, the prices dropping as each date passes. If a date drop is close enough, they may go ahead and give it to you for that price, even if the date hasn't passed yet. I can't remember what I spent on the futon and shelving unit, but the bookcase was just a smidge under $9 and the rice cooker was $5. The workers are polite and helpful. They cleared off the bookshelf for me and loaded it into my vehicle. The store accepts cash and cards.
