The price is outrageous for the service rendered. My hair cut is butchered. One side of my face is framed, the other side is not. The back layers are not blended and one side is longer than the other side. I had one chunk of hair that was neither layered or blended, just a three inches chopped off. I asked for a specific color. Everytime I left the shop after a touch up I had a "color cap" on top of my head. The price has increased. I was not told of the leap in price until I paid the bill. For a cut and color, $300.00 a pop, keep shopping. read more

Sara is outstanding. She just gets it. It is clear that she knows what she is doing and has done it for a long time (although she looks like a very young woman). She is professional, prompt, and will do what you wish. For her expertise, her prices are very reasonable. Her products are not marked up (I did the research). Needed a change and didn't think what I wanted was hard to achieve. Drive by this place a lot, and thought I'd support a local business. Walked in on a Friday afternoon, there was only one customer and one employee - noreen guess she's the manager. I showed her three photos of a long inverted bob. Short in the back and long is the front. After she finished I asked if the front was longer than the back. She made an excuse that my right front side is to short. OK?? I'm upset that she butchered my hair. If youre not able to produce what I ask then just don't do it! read more

Same experience as another customer here on the reviews. I spent $375 for color and highlights, for a hair that I ended up trying to fix myself again. She supposedly did high and low lights but you could barely see them. The front of my head was completely messed up with big chunks of highlights not light enough, they looked like they were done by someone without any experience. I couldn't see them when I was there because they styled my hair but after I washed it at home I realized how bad they were. When I was there she had another customer call and then come back because of the same issue. Her highlights on top were not well done. For the price she charges you would expect and amazing job, but nope not even close. read more

Customer service is non existent. I rarely write reviews because I feel like people/businesses can have off days and I don't want to judge too quickly but I've now had two negative experiences at this salon so I feel other people need to be warned not to waste their time. The first time I went to Magari (pre covid) the place was packed. Despite having an appointment, I waited for 30 minutes to get my hair washed and then sat with wet hair for another 30-40 minutes before the owner and stylist, Sara, even talked to me. During that time I was asked (more like harassed) repeatedly to get my eyebrows threaded despite consistently declining. The haircut was pretty good, she took off a bit more than I asked but nothing awful. At checkout she finally apologized for the wait and realized she had booked my appointment on the wrong date. It was a stressful experience and lasted way longer than needed but mistakes happen and I assumed it was just a "bad day" Today I went back, again after making an appointment. I expected the same safe practices I've encountered at all other businesses during this pandemic and was surprised when I walked in to see another client, un masked, just starting to get her hair washed. Sara was masked but looked confused, I told her I had an appointment (I was right on time), she asked my name, and told me to wait. She finished the wash and then started that client's hair cut and styling. 20 minutes went by during which time Sara completely ignored me. Then she pulled her mask down so both the client and stylist were unmasked. If the salon is not adhering by basic mask guidelines during a pandemic I can only assume other safe hygiene practices are being ignored, and I felt very uncomfortable. That, paired with Sara's disregard for appointments caused me to leave. You'd think a small business owner would be extra courteous and cautious during these times, so I'm at a loss. I'm very disappointed that i even bothered giving this place a second chance. read more

Love Sarah at Magari Hair Salon. She is an exceptional colorist and color corrector. She's done my hair for many years and my hair is in excellent condition. When I came to Sarah my hair had been burned and cut off by previous stylist but Sarah worked with me to get longer hair in great condition. I highly recommend the Brazilian hair straightener if you have frizzy hair. She does the light version for me because I have fine hair. read more

Went to Magari salon for a hair cut they took me right in same day appointment which works perfect for me. Sara did my haircut and she did a wonderful job and super fast too. Someone else does you wash and dry I was in and out in less than 45 minutes all in with a wonderful new hair cut that has gotten many compliments since I got it on Saturday. I asked her to shorten my length to below my middle back and fix my bangs I had messed up by cutting the night before. My hubby made the hair appointment for me. The owner Sara did my balayage and it turned out amazing. I have reddish hair and was afraid it would turn out orange. I had it done previously and it was so messed up. She was able to fix it and it is beautiful!! She also game me an amazing cut that is blended and smooth. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair! I will never go back. Gave her two chances. The first time 325$ for highlights. Second time totally ignored what I ask her to do . I walked out with orange roots and because I ask her to try to cut back on the yellow color, she added a toner which turned big chunks of my hair blue while the rest was orange and yellow. I have very easy to color, Med blonde hair. The experience cost me $355. And 3 1/2 hours. Even though I had a precooked appointment, I waited 30 minutes to even get started. And she obviously overbooked as she was going from one client to the next, back-and-forth had at least four women processing all at once.
