We have used Magcar insurance company for a couple years now. Then we started noticing that our 6 month auto insurance premiums were being sent but no information was being sent on what coverage, changes etc. We called the office located in delmar and got our agent. She informed us that we should have gotten a packet, yet some had been delayed being sent out. The agent stated she could get another packet sent out. That packet we were charged $35.00 for. I called wondering why the charge and she informed me because we are enrolled in the paperless system. I informed her again we never received any packet and it was unfair that they charge us this absurd charge of $35.00. She waived the charge. Just recently we received a 6 month premium and our rates went thru the roof. I went to the insurance company the following morning to ask the reason for this. We have had zero claims or tickets. The woman wouldn't even look at me as she spoke to me. I said out rates have more than doubled! I asked for a explanation of our coverage and she reluctantly printed them. I took them to another insurance company and saved over $500 from our original premiums. This morning I sent a email requesting a current Declaration page on our house insurance. That was at 9:29 this morning. as of 3:24 pm I did not get the information requested so i called. The woman who answered stated they got the request and i would get it emailed by days end. 7:51pm and ZERO!!! The tone this woman uses with my wife was unacceptable. I found her very rude and isn't easy to deal with. I would steer clear of this office. You need piece of mind, not someone who could careless. read more
