I went in for ice cream the other day and received excellent service by and young lady named Celia. She was very attentive and cheerful!

Even though I was pretty full when I walked in, I had to forcibly remove the spoon from my hand to stop myself from eating the whole thing! I am typical (meaning I get the same thing every time!) when it comes to flavors- I want mint chocolate chip with some sort of peanut butter cup or sauce thrown in the mix. This combo did not disappoint here! The mint ice cream was great and the portion was still pretty big for a small cup. The place is just like your typical Cold Stone ice cream shoppe, but it's local (I think!) and cute inside. Would totally go back next time I'm in Austin! read more

The customer service here was terrible. The employee was not friendly and didn't greet anyone that walked in the store. The store was also severely understaffed. There was only one employee working and the store had a steady stream of customers the entire time we were there. The wait did not justify the quality of ice cream. The display that houses the ice cream was also covered in mold and extremely disgusting considering the proximity to the ice cream. The employee was also wearing a long sleeve sweater and when she would scoop the ice cream, her sweater would brush up against the ice cream. The food safety here seemed to be nonexistent. I have been here only about a handful of times in the last ten years, but it is safe to say that I will not ever be going back. A Friday afternoon trip to an ice cream shop should not leave me feeling as dismal as this one did. The two ladies working behind the counter today had the demeanors of women being ordered to serve ice cream as terms of their probation. I wish I was kidding, but I am not. There wasn't a smile or friendly word from either one of them. The customers ahead of me ordered about four cups to go. As soon as they were out the door, the one who served them came up to the other employee, right in front of me, to express her annoyance in obvious body language that spoke louder than words. Dessert with my wife and kids for Mother's Day. People may complain about the prices but everything is clearly posted so you shouldn't be surprised at the checkout. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Any questions we asked were answered politely and with consideration to how the add ins would compliment or conflict with each other. I had a medium cup of chocolate with coconut and almonds, tried to make an Almond Joy flavored dessert. The flavor was great. I'm a pretty big guy and the medium was more than enough for me. I only had a couple of complaints. The first was the line. There were only two employees running the ice cream counter which made the wait to get my treat a bit long. It was worth it in the end. The second complaint was the limited seating area inside. There are plenty of 2 seat tables but not enough room for a family of four. We ended up taking our desserts to go. Overall it was a good experience and great bowl of ice cream. We will be going back. read more

Amazing ice cream! I had some of their ice cream during an event in down town Round Rock last year and it was really good. I always drive by the actual store when running errands and finally stopped by. Boy I'm glad we did! My 3 year old was in heaven and was so excited that he could have whatever topping he wanted. The prices are a bit higher but you get unlimited toppings so it all kinda works out. We all got the children's size which is one scoop. The small consists of 2 scoops, med 3 and large 4. When you add in all the toppings it was more than enough. There are also waffle cones, bowls and sprinkle cones, of course those are extra. For 3 children's size cups it came out to just under $12 including tax. read more

My friend and I went to Maggie Moo's this afternoon for ice cream. There were tow people working and one customer (a man with a young boy) ahead of us. Both of the people working helped the man and young boy and complexity ignored me and my friend. When they completed their order, one person gathered dishes and went to the back and the other checked out the man and boy and remained standing at the register continuing to ignore my friend and me. Ice cream was delicious but customer service is beyond disappointing. I just came in with my sister and we were so excited because we hadn't been in a couple years. Upon arrival we were not greeted, not even a simple smile. There were only a few other customers in the store so it was not busy. We were not asked what we wanted to order nor if we wanted to sample anything. When we asked for samples the woman immediately seemed annoyed and stared us down as we licked our spoons (super uncomfortable). Because of that I only asked for two even though there were a few more I wanted to try. The lack of enthusiasm was evident when she prepared my ice cream as well. You could cut the tension with a knife. It was incredibly awkward. She handed me my cone with a blank expression. No "Enjoy!" "Here ya go!" Not even a smile. I was checked out by the other woman who seemed just as miserable. I never saw either of these women smile and I'm still in awe as to why these women hate their job so much. The way the online site is set up for ordering cakes is awful. I picked a simple cake, requested a typical happy birthday inscription, got my confirmation email, the works. Just went in to pick it up, no inscription on the cake. I showed the employee my confirmation email that clearly showed the inscription request on there. He brings the cake back to his manager, comes back out and explains that online orders do not allow for inscription but that they can write it out on a waffle disc. I said fine, its pouring outside, I just wanted to get home. A few minutes later the manager comes out with the disc and it of course looks terrible because it's a waffle disc. She then reiterates I couldn't have requested an inscription because the online site doesn't allow it. We went back and forth a little bit about it and I showed her my confirmation email to which she responds "oh yeah its there" then tells me the decorator should have paid attention and how she doesn't have anything to do with the online site, it's the owner who does it. Either way it was a pretty terrible experience. I didn't even bother taking the coupons(I work in retail, I know coupons are just to shut people up), i won't be coming back. Disappointing. read more

YIKES!!! I know we will NOT be returning to Maggie Moo's. The ice cream is good, but I can get good ice cream at cleaner places. The pictures of the broken ceiling tiles from 2016 ARE STILL BROKEN! It's August of 2018 people, come on! The dumpster doors were not closed, as pictured in another review, so yes, we stared at the garbage the whole time. The A/C was not working here, so it was super hot. There were 2 staff members working which doesn't seem like enough on a 100+ degree summer day. I don't like how one person starts working on my order and the other person goes to the next person rather than assisting to complete my order - there were 4 in my party. 3 of us ordered shakes. Apparently the staff didn't want to take the time to wash the dishes in the back so after each shake, she went to the back and washed the one blender each time. I also was not pleased with the fact that the staff does not clean the marble after each order. Granted, there is room to process 3 separate orders on the marble, but then the marble should be wiped down. It was not. As someone with a nut allergy, this could be VERY dangerous. read more

They informed us it was called "the brownie delight" one of the female workers there rolled her eyes at her coworker right in front of us. I guess they got annoyed because we did not know the proper name the ice cream type. We just got served an ice cream cone by an employee who coughed in front of us, wiped her hands on a dirty apron, and then proceeded to touch my waffle cone with her bare hands--and not on the paper covering but the actual cone. As she billed us out, she can barely speak since her voice is hoarse. Obviously, you should never allow sick individuals to serve food to the public. Had a terrible experience here. Paid for a cone of better batter in a deformed figure that looked anything but a round scoop carelessly toppled onto my white chocolate cone. As I fought to keep the ice cream from tipping over, the cone simply crushed between my hands. A happy trip for ice cream quickly became a messy, devastating journey that I never care to repeat. We use to come here every weekend but now...we are taking our business elsewhere. *INSERT DRAMATIC MUSIC* 3 people working with 3 hours until they shut down and yet everything was either gone or melted. The 16 or 17 year old helping us rolled his eyes when we asked for a pint. He then quickly followed up with, " you can't be serious. Are you serious?! Are you trying to kill me...actually now that i think of it, we are out of peanut butter. Can you settle for caramel?" Hmmm, maybe your thinking I'm one of the snobbs looking for everything under the sun or that I'm being too harsh but, I've worked customer service/ food service and I know how to speak to people as well as appreciate that they have to put up with a lot of bullshit from needy people. Usually very good with ample servings but tonight my wife ordered two regular two scoop cups. One was less than one scoop the other was two full scoops from the same server also checked her out, the two side by side we're enviously grossly different. How is it that he didn't notice the disparity in servings? A two scoop regular size cup usually has two scoops as I said before this was less than one scoop. Unacceptable! read more

If I could I would honestly give this establishment a negative star..worse customer service ever. My husband and I went to get icecream Friday night; as I waited in line to order our selections another couple came in behind me. A male server wearing sunglasses (this struck me as odd especially because it was approximately 9:45PM) comes in and address the young couple behind me and from appearances they either went to school together or are aquaintences. The server then proceeds to skip over me even after the young lady told him I was next in line..his exact words " no, you two are next" mind you they were clearly behind me. With this obvious and blatant decision to choose his friends over me, I walked out and my husband and I went else where for icecream. Will not return to this establishment ever again. I was there this past weekend and the place was so filthy I snapped pictures to share... every surface was grimy, half the lightbulbs were out, tables don't look like they've ever been wiped down.
