Great service and amazing food with large portions. Will definitely be back on our way through to visit family

I stopped in for lunch while driving through Comer today. I wish I could report on the quality of the food or the cost, but I can't, because I never saw a menu, placed a drink order , nothing. The only interaction I had was asking the server when I walked in if I could seat at the table I chose. I watched two large tables settle their bill and leave. I had been sitting for about 10-15 minutes. Once the large tables left, the server seem to prioritize bussing the tables over greeting the new patron. At this point I quietly got up and left. It's hard to be certain, but it seemed to be a big case of "you ain't from around here are you". I will not be back. read more

Had a bleu cheese burger. Absolutely perfect, heavy on the meat, heavy on the cheese, the tomatoes were super fresh and flavorful. More fries than I could eat. Overall, outstanding! The staff were efficient and very friendly. read more

Giving them the benefit of the doubt with three stars. Didn't ever get food. Waited about 10 minutes and they did finally wipe off my table, but two sets of folks (one came in with me, the other well after) had already gotten menus, drink orders at the table, and when the waitress started taking their orders (again,me without a menu or a What'll ya have to drink yet. So I left. Yeah, my experience was 1 star, but I didn't say anything or wave anybody down, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a fluke or whatever. Maggie's is a great small town diner! Worth the drive from Athens. The turkey panini was so good, especially with the fried okra side. Service was worth the extra tip! Don't miss it if you're anywhere close to Comer! read more

Eat here quite often and food is good. This time I got a to go order of Fried Green Tomatoes with a ranch cup on the side. Bag was placed on my floorboard so it wouldn't move. Upon opening my order, Top was off ranch cup and all in bag and smothered tomatoes. I immediately called and was told nothing could be done to refix my order. For the small town of Comer with only 1-2 other options for eating takeout, this is a good option. The food is very good and the selection is fairly diverse with a really great dessert menu. They actually do a lot of sales on bakery and desserts alone because of that. I give it 4 stars and not 5 only because it's what I would consider to be only slightly priced higher than I would think it should be. Otherwise, it's b definitely worth a shot! read more

Great little small town cafe. I wanted fried chicken. I got the fried chicken sliders and fries. I did not regret it. I'm glad I popped in on my drive. Stop in you won't regret it. We stopped for a late lunch (1:30 pm) and what a little gem this place is. GREAT food and service. We just got the burgers, but they were wonderful, from fresh hamburger, onion rings and fries delicious, everything hot, lots of lettuce, tomato, just the right amount of red onion. Burgers were big, we could only eat half. Took the rest to go for dinner tonight! They also had a beautiful jewel-like refrigerator case full of home baked cakes, cannolis and other desserts. We had the carrot cake and the Heath bar cake: really top notch. We took 2 cannolis to go as well as a huuuuge oatmeal cookie. All this was $29ish. I love Maggie's. Every time I go thru Comer to my farm, I try to go by and grab a bite or do take out...especially for desserts! They always have a big selection and they taste as good as they look! It's a sweet little place in a quaint little town. Yes, they have young waitresses (as some have complained) but I always find the girls very accommodating. Try to realize this isn't Atlanta so you work with what you have! It's a little town where everyone knows everyone and the pace is a lot slower. Try to slow down and enjoy where you have come from! The food is tasty and they have a nice selection to accommodate most people's taste. I try to support local restaurants in every backroad I travel or there won't be any to review!! read more

Surprising expensive. My six year old and I ate there and had a very simple meal. I was shocked at the$50.00 bill.

My wife and I were passing through Comer today around lunchtime so I checked out Yelp for lunch ideas. Maggie's had good reviews so we searched it out. Very unassuming from the outside but went in and were surprised at the extensive menu. Wife had a salad with green apples and a scoop of chicken salad. I had a barbecue burger with fries based on the suggestion of our server. Both were excellent. The inside was very clean and our two servers very polite. Had a cannoli for dessert. Not a cannoli lover but this was the best I've ever had. If you're in the Comer area do yourself a favor and support this business! read more

It's good. Not much else around to compare it to in the area, as in this seemed like the only place in town to eat. It's pretty average "American" style food. Nothing special and not bad either. Dont have high expectations and you'll leave happy. The service was all high school girls, unless they aged extremely well, which would explain the subpar service. Like the food it wasn't bad, just what you'd expect from kids, I didn't see if any adults, which I found interesting. Who gives a toddler a coloring page but nothing to color with? Haha. I had to go snag a pen from the counter because apparently they only have 4 crayons, which another table was using. Holy hole-in-the-wall! So yummy! We had a feisty kiddo on our hands but were starving. The waitress came right up and helped calm him with color and paper. The food came out quick and was delicious. They had plenty of options. We took dessert with us and let me tell you....that cheesecake. So good. It would put some New York Cheesecake to shame. Found this great little spot in downtown Comer GA. Nice selection of salads, burgers and sammies. Patty melt on actual rye bread (optional) was good especially with thousand island dressing but the turkey bacon provolone Panini with avocado was the best meal. Mac and cheese was meh but marinara made them better. Regular fries were ok but the curly fries looked better and crispy I will get those next time. Fried pickles were pretty tasty but not the best I've had. Good service and neat decor but "dark" with intricate ceiling decor. Had about 15 tables for dine in. Will be back soon, looking forward to trying the onion rings and rueben next visit! read more

A great find! We were driving to Helen and stopped for a quick lunch. The place was spotless! The staff were attentive and the service was very good. We ordered a couple of burgers and a grilled chicken sandwich. The food was flavorful, the ingredients were fresh and the portions were large. The curly fries were hot and crispy.
