My family and I were meeting halfway between ATL and South Carolina and chose this place on a whim to celebrate a birthday. It exceeded our expectations. Cool little gem in a small town. Zoe, our waitress, was a doll. So super sweet and accommodating. It had a a small community , friendly vibe. The bar was packed on a Sunday evening and there were plenty of patrons at booths. We loved their version of nachos. Forgot to get a pic, but they are mini tacos with all the fixings. They had a little spice and were so good, we ordered a second round. Most of the table got wings and everybody enjoyed them. I got the 4th of July burger, and it got the spot . The burger was cooked well. It was done, but still juicy. The toppings were great. I left 2 onion rings on and ate the others with my crispy crunchy fries. Enjoyed the experience and we will be back. Thank you Zoe for getting cheese on my picky niece's fries. I'm honestly shocked that I hadn't already written a review for this amazing place. Friends Grill in Commerce, GA is a fun, hip, and family friendly spot with delicious food, awesome cocktails, and ice cold beer. We've been coming here for the past couple of years, and the customer service never disappoints. The staff has that genuine Southern charm that makes you feel like part of the family the moment you walk in. Everything on the menu tastes great, but the cocktails truly deserve a special mention. They are creative, well balanced, and absolutely delicious. I love their novelty collection of tiki ceramic mugs used for mocktails and cocktails, such a fun touch! Their seasonal cocktail menu is always thoughtfully crafted and consistently impressive. Today I tried a spicy gingerbread cocktail made with vanilla vodka and another holiday dream called the oatmeal cookie martini. Both were incredibly tasty and festive. My husband and I absolutely love this place and always enjoy our time here in the super cute downtown area of Commerce, GA. Great atmosphere and super friendly people. We sat at the bar. Not trying to be critical, however bartender seemed to be paying more attention to one side of the bar. He never acknowledged us for several minutes. That was the theme for the rest of our time there we felt ignored. We had to wave him down to get another drink. We ordered our food got the double cheeseburger with fries and when it came it was plain. I guess I thought since he didn't offer that pickles, onion, tomato and lettuce would come on the side. I asked the young lady that brought it if she could bring those items and she said no the bartender would have to get it for me! So I waited several minutes before I could get his attention. He never check with us to see if our entrees we okay or if we needed anything. We also had to ask for silverware as well. Once we got squared away the food we ordered was delicious. If I lived here I'd be a regular customer for the $8 double cheeseburger with fries and the chicken tenders and fries were also really good! One more observation, another couple came I sat beside us at the bar...same thing. When he did wait on them he was dragging a trash can over and emptying plates into the trash while he was talking to them and taking their order. This might be a different conversation if they had been busy, but they weren't. Overall, a great experience and would return. Just feel like the service could be better today. Had that been the case my rating on service PHA e been higher. read more

My friend and I had decided to go to Friend's in Commerce for supper. We've been there before and really enjoyed it. This time around however a different story. We walked in and it was fairly busy. The manager and the hostess were seating a larger party. we were not with the larger party, and as they were seated, we proceeded to stand there. Not once were we acknowledged in the 5 to 7 minutes we stood there. When we brought this to the attention of the manager, she thought we were with the larger party. Unfortunately, she had gone to the back of the room and knew we weren't with the party because she saw still standing there--I did see her look at us. The hostess/waitress had walked by us two or three times looked at us and did not acknowledge us How very disappointing. read more

The food is good but I ordered a burger and forgot to ask for lettuce and tomato. When food got to table I asked waitress if she could get me lettuce and tomato and she said toppings didn't come with the burger and it was a $3.00 upcharge. I even asked how much it was per pickle slice if I wanted those but decided I didn't need any. I told her that I'd pay for toppings but it would be my last time eating there. After saying that, she brought out the toppings at no charge. Ive never heard of upcharging for basic toppings before, I won't be going back the idea of paying ala carte for basic toppings is preposterous. read more
