We utilized the recently advertised BOGO promotion for the "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"…read moreproduction. Several of our friends coordinated the purchase of 3 sets of 2-ticket pairs to fill a table of 6 for a Sunday evening performance. The pre-show buffet is fantastic with a well stocked selection on the fresh salad bar (typical options as well as broccoli salad) and then a delicious hot dish buffet. We had green beans, corn, quinoa, Mac 'n cheese, baked potato, pulled pork (very, very good!), baked fish, fried fish, fried chicken (also very good!), and rolls. Our server, Eliza, is also one of the Footnotes (formerly AKA as Barnstormers) and was so fabulous with taking care of us and prompt. We ordered various desserts (selections include bread pudding, flourless chocolate torte, strawberry shortcake, rocky road chocolate brownie, hummingbird cake, peanut butter pie, ice cream) to enjoy during intermission and they were all so rich that my advice would be to share if at all possible. Gift shop at entrance had so many cute items. Lobby and restrooms were all well maintained. Support staff were welcoming and all seemed to operate as a team and like a well oiled machine. Parking lot is large, well lit, and very easily accessible for anyone with mobility concerns. Looking forward to the 2026-2027 season!

The meal is served buffet style before the play begins, and there are plenty of options available on the salad and hot food bars. Everything was the correct temperature and safety gloves are provided to prevent the spread of germs when touching the serving spoons. We were conveniently seated close to the buffet tables which meant there was a bit of traffic going past us, but we were able to get our food early in the process. Servers bring your preferred drink to the table, including alcoholic drinks from the bar, and they also serve dessert and drinks (an extra cost) during one of the play intermissions. The play, The Bunco Squad Rolls Again, was a funny, locally-written play with a twist at the end. Some friends from college used to perform at the theater and now the daughter of a former classmate is performing there. I think we will definitely return to see other plays.

Audiences love interacting with the characters and trying to figure out who dunnit! In addition to our public performances, WhoDunnit also offers private performances for large groups, corporate events, etc. Let us bring the mystery to you! We actually received this as a gift from friends. It's a bit over the top and corny but some parts of it are humorous. It is interactive and you are taxed with solving the murder. There are actors among us who may be the culprit. In fact the murderer was eventually discovered at our table along with the clever young lady who solved the mystery and won the prize. The food was just OK and the dessert was meh. Service was very good and please tip the staff/actors accordingly. Unfortunately we were unaware that the NuLu Bock Fest was going on this weekend so parking at the hotel was a hefty $42(event parking). Ouch. Street parking was nonexistent and other pay lots were just as expensive as the hotel. On the bright side the Tempo Hotel is quite nice, staff friendly, the dinner is on the 6th floor with a view of the NuLu district.

Check-in was smooth, there's a line but went fairly fast. My issue was after we parked in garage we were not sure what floor to go to. Luckily I have a friend that works here & she told me where the room was. We did appreciate parking validation, but we encountered issues getting out. Room setup was basic. I understand that actors are amateur but there were moments were they seemed to truly stumble over their roles. The use of technology was cool...but a lot of details to go through. I solved the Mystery. But my details were not specific so I wasnt in the running to win. I do like that there was a prize, not sure how only one winner is determined. Hotel food was good, pork dinner my husband ordered was more flavorful than my chicken choice. Cheesecake was a hit. Service was good. I wish bar was not cash only & I would have probably enjoyed experience more. Overall, just ok. Not sure of price since my husband paid. But I think the 3 course meal was worth it. Each row of seats is stadium style with a small shelf area to place your drinks or purse on. It allows everyone a perfect view of the nights performance. The stage is quite small for performers so you are likely to see one man acts or smaller plays that require more imagination then set. The only downside is that because this space is wedged between multiple restaurants and apartments you can here a lot of outside noise. The whole second act of the show I saw had muffed band music bleeding through from the bar next door. The ticket prices seem to be pretty reasonable and there is enough room for a bar. It is a great found space with a lot of history since many magicians have performed in the space.

I've been here a few times to see Theatre 502 productions. It's a small theatre on Whiskey Row. I normally get there earlier to sit in the front row, but I honestly don't think there's a bad seat in the house. It's a great space and Theatre 502 always finds new and creative ways to use the space. I've only been here for Theatre 502 shows, but I can't imagine that other acts don't use the space. You should definitely see something here if given the chance. My only complaint? A local pizza place is downstairs. On the weekends, you can hear live music coming from downstairs. Be aware of that before going here. I can usually tune it out, but there have been a few times where it was a nuisance. To offer incentive, I'm always told that the pizza place offers drink discounts to the theatre patrons. I've never took them up on the offer but it is a nice addition(if needed).
