We started at Magic Education when our child was 5 months old. I still remember standing at the door thinking, "Please be okay." The teachers were warm, steady, and really attentive, and that made a huge difference for us. Fast forward and now he's graduating for Kindergarten, which is honestly emotional. We'll miss Magic a lot. Magic helped our child become a real little reader. He started bringing home "level books," and now he grabs books on his own and asks for the same favorites over and over, especially Pete the Cat Goes Camping and Little Bear. It's become one of his favorite things to do. In the preschool program he loved the routine and the fun stuff, especially Thursday dance class and the monthly field trips. Around age two we hit separation anxiety and the "terrible twos," and the staff handled it so patiently and professionally. They helped him settle, regulate, and feel safe. We also really value that Magic offers English, Chinese, and Spanish. It's been a big plus for our child and for private school applications. Our son started to go to Magic Education daycare when he was 1 yr old. And he has been there for 2 years. He is always happy when we pick him up and doesn't want to go home almost every day. All the teachers are very nice. They not only teach the children with all different things (Chinese, English, Spanish, handcrafts, drawing, story telling, etc), but also take very good care of all the children. Teachers always update to parents with how the children did during the day when they are picked up. They know every kid very well. Facility is also very good. Bright classrooms, big yards with different toys. They keep everything clean. Hot lunches and snacks are also very good and healthy. A LOT of pictures and videos every day through APP. We really appreciate this, and it makes us feel very connected. We know what exactly happened in the daycare almost every hour through out the day. My son enrolled this daycare since he was 8 months. And he is 2.5-years-old now. We left recently due to a family moving, which is a pity. It was a really amazing experience , and I realize it more when comparing with another daycare we experienced. 1. My daughter has been at Magic Education for over 1year. Sending her to this school was one of the best decisions I have ever made, even though it takes long driving time from San Carlos to Foster City every day. I cannot say enough good things about this daycare. And I would give the school 10 stars if I could. My daughter just turned to 1 when we first started. When she first started, they assigned one dedicated teacher to take care of her, and the great amount of attention really helped her to transition well and get used to the new environment. The teachers there are amazing- super warm, caring and loving. Ms. Coco is super easy to work with, and we feel like a family. We ran late to pick up the kid a few times due to heavy traffic, but every time we run late picking her up, the teachers are still patiently playing with my daughter, feeding her fruits and snacks. The school has plenty of outdoor activities every day, both morning and afternoon time. I found this super helpful to the gross motor skill development for my daughter. My daughter is great at climbing monkey bars, scooters, etc.. thanks to these outdoor activities. They also have tons of toys (sometimes I feel my child is spoiled by these much toys at school that we don't need to buy her too much toys at home)... The school sends tons of pictures every day through the brightwheel app, we get frequent update on the kids' activities at school. From the pictures (and also at drop off and pick up time), the kids have a big smile one their face. That says it all -- they are in great hands and are having a great time at school every day! My daughter picked up counting, alphabets, holding a pen and drawing simple pictures from the school. She is now academically strong for her age. She talks about her classmates and her teachers each day. The school is clean, my daughter seldom gets sick from school. My son went to the toddler program in Magic Education. Although we were there only for two months before we moved out of the state, we loved the school and the teachers. The rooms are bright and spacious, and there is plenty of outdoor time. The teachers were caring and professional. My son cried a lot during his first few weeks. It was Ms Coco, Ms Taotao, Ms Chen, and other teachers who spent a lot time comforting him and playing with him. There are both native Chinese- and English-speaking teachers, if a bilingual environment is critical for the parents. The school sends very frequent updates through their app. On average we received 10+ pictures per day, and we knew exactly as soon as meals/snacks/naps/diaper changes happened. My daughter was in this Mandarin immersion preschool for about 2 years until it was time for her to graduate. She was well loved by all the wonderful, attentive caregivers. The teacher and student ratio is low. I received daily photos of my child and her day to day routine. I can tell she has a lot of fun playing, learning (numbers, letters, words), and doing arts and crafts. The school provides healthy lunch meals cooked in the home - hot foods usually consist of rice/noodles with meat and veggies, and fruit and yogurt. My daughter is very resistant to eating fruits but here at ME, they seem to have that under control. The preschool is a home setting, and has several classrooms outside in the backyard with recently updated play structures. The environment is clean and well maintained. read more

Our son loves Magic Education! He transitioned from another family care last Summer. The transition is very smooth with the love and support from the owner Ms. Coco and all the other teachers. My son started his daycare life since he was 15 months old. I was so worried about it since he can't talk and alway found small wound when he was in another daycare. I can't tell what happens and decide to change place immediately. I am so glad I made that decision. In magic education, I received tons of pictures even videos regarding how he eat/ learn/ play. Even he still bump his head sometimes ( I believe it is inevitable at this age), Coco always give me details regarding what and how it happened, which means teachers are paying attention and taking care of it. My nephew was doing poorly in school and was borderline being held back. At first I was a little hesitant, but the teachers appeared to be genuine so I gave it a shot. We took him to Magic Education Kids School for assistance and saw an immediate impact. By the end of the semester, his Math score jumped 2 grades higher and I couldn't be happier. Our whole family really enjoyed the 1-year stay there for our little son since his 11 months. I was pretty concerned about my baby going to day care at such a young age during Covid. But it proved to work greatly and much better than our expectation: no single Covid positive case (thus no school shut down!!), great care provided by the teachers, yummy hot lunch (this is so important for foodies :P ), and also bilingual language environment. So I didn't go here for myself, though I wish this place were around when I was a wee lad. A good family friend's kids went here, and I'd often hear them telling us about all of the things that they learned here. My 7yo son goes to the afterschool. I first put him in a bigger after school that offered languages, dance, math, and countless activities. However the school provided extremely stressful competitive environment to my then 5yo, listing winner and loser of speed math game on white board and saw his name there. I didn't believe speed is the measure of intelligence so I pulled him out of the school (lost 1 month of tuition but I didn't care). I found Magic Education through his day School Mom and I'm so glad I put him there. It's a cozy home-like feel where he'd feel safe and well attended. They teach Chinese, math, computer, music, you name it! What I like the most about the school is that the teachers send me daily updates and photos of how he is doing. As my work is very demanding, requires a lot of traveling, it's great to know how he's doing at school. He finishes his homework every day which is also important to me. I want to spend my limited quality time at night enjoying each other's company rather than doing homework together. All the teachers are loving and caring. We love so much about this daycare! First of all, the director Coco and all the teachers are super caring and patient toward my son, and are super diligent in keeping him cozy and clean at all times (I don't recall any diaper rashes in the 1.5 years he was there). And equally importantly they give him opportunities to explore and teach him how to take care of himself. This daycare is an good combination of caring and teaching at the same time. Secondly, the food is gorgeous. Yummy freshly cooked healthy lunch is served everyday. Just imagine how much convenience and peace of mind it brought to our family. Last but not least, the space is always tidy and organized, full of toys and educational materials for kids to explore. Overall, we are very happy with the daycare. I asked several questions, she did not answer any of them and say that they need to do interview of the kid and parents. It is funny to accept business like this way. And after a few no answer question, she told me that they are full but we can register anyway. What is the point to register my kid with such unknown business? I don't know what the education is like, but I can definitely speak for the drivers of this institution. A person driving a car for this "school" was extremely unsafe and practically drove into other cars on the road. I have experienced this myself. When I tried to call the business to let them know, they hung up on me. I will definitely tell all my friends who are thinking about a mandarin school in this area NOT to give them business.
