When I first came I was already mad because the full set I had before was so thick but all my nails where still attached after 3 weeks they already raised their prices and charge for every little thing the first nail broke two hours after I left the shop it was closed so I came back the next day they were trying to make me pay after they know I was just there when they closed. This is a wonderful, peaceful nail salon to get great service...now if the obnoxious patrons would quit complaining about the price, and starting fights with each other, it would be paradise. The staff is very friendly and I have been very happy with all the services I get there. I have had several people take care of me for my gel nails and pedicure with no chip. Never have I had a complaint. Customer Service is horrible. The employees I encounter was very rude and seem to be in a hurry. Didn't listen to me as a customer, cut my nails to short, tried to raise the price twice. I had no shine on my nails.They didn't seem to know the answer to anything. They charge .75 cents per credit card / debit transaction. From my understanding there should be no charge no for debit which comes directly from your bank account to theirs, but they hurriedly ran the transaction for credit without giving me an option to run debit. Magic Nails is what I call my convenient nail salon. It's super close to my house and work. Despite the crowds sometimes, I never really end up waiting that long. They have a fairly large selection of polishes. Their prices are pretty average: $55 for a no-chip mani, regular pedi, with a salt scrub massage (not including tip). And the staff are all very friendly and do a good job. It's just not my favorite salon. But it's certainly better than other salons that I have tried in the West Loop. The other West Loops salons I've gone to, I've always felt like I was part of a machine line, where they wanted me in and spit me back out. It doesn't feel that way at Magic Nails at all. While every time I've had a different Nail Tech, they're all good, they make you feel welcome and it feels like they care to do a job well done. Though, just yesterday I finally got Sam as my tech and he totally rocked it out! He's relatively quick, but VERY efficient and you can tell he's a perfectionist. Plus, he gave me an actual foot and leg massage, not just a gentle rub. So all in all, I like Magic Nails. Helpful tips: Definitely ask for Sam for excellent work. I no longer feel the need to go to expensive boutique nail salons now that I found Magic Nails. I usually go on Wednesdays or Sundays as a walk in and am always started right away. I get no chip manicures and sometimes no chip pedicures. They always last up until my next visit (3-4 weeks). The technicians remove the previous visit's gel very carefully as to not damage my nails. I have been getting no chip manicures here consistently for 7 months and haven't had any issues with the health of my nails besides the occasional broken nail when I let them grow out too long. Prices are reasonable except for the chrome no chip option (extra $15). read more

The two women (they're sisters, from what they told me) have both done an awesome job on my toes and hands. I typically get a nail color change for my toes and a no-chip mani. The place is convenient because it's near my house. That is the only reason I come here. I've come the last year approximately 1 time a month. I'm always friendly, I always tip, but I am always confronted with rude, abrasive attitudes by the woman who handles the flow/manager of the salon. My no chips don't last more 1 week about 50% of the time and they often don't properly cover my nail. The tools are rusted and as of lately I haven't seen them come from a fresh unopened package. They haphazardly clean the pedicure stations. I won't be back. I don't care if I have to travel a little father for good customer service and a lower risk of toenail fungus. read more

The Magic Nail in Countryside opens a new pack of tools for every customer but I do know that most places just sterilize the tools in a machine but not this place. After trying to draw it for 15 min he did a terrible job and I asked it to be wiped off. So I'm left with a dif color nail without design that just looks stupid. One broke underneath the Polish next day, it'll take a while to grow them out back to health now. And he put so much overlay on it that it looks too thick like theres 10 layers of polish . The appointment i booked with a nail tech i was referred to was running behind and was told to sit with someone else. 2. The nail tech started applying the wrong nail polish and when i told him it was wrong he said nope this is the color you picked. 4. The final result was horrible. I was so pissed! 5. Decided to call and complain. Mary said that i should have spoken up when i didnt like them. She then told me she was going to call me back and see what she could do. Upset with her response i called her back and demanded i get a new set and shape free of charge. Her reply " Im with a client, i need to call you back!" and hangs up on me! She calls me back and says it was wrong of me to keep her on the phone when she was busy with a client. I should know better. Are you kidding me?!?! I thought this place was pretty good at first and now that I've gone a few times I realize its pretty terrible. 1. They use rusted tools on ur toenails for sure, hands I'm not sure. When I asked the woman to use new tools she told me no then asked the woman in the front who spoke English. She just gestured to her to get them as tho they have them somewhere and knew where they were but dont normally use them. Then she started talking about me in her language to her coworker which I could tell from my app. 2. The entire place is disgustingly dirty. I came in at 730p I understand thats late if they close at 8p but my pinky nail popped off today I got them done there less than a week ago. She asked me what I needed and when I showed her my pinky nail she said sorry its past 730p. Why ask me what I wanted to just deny me service anyway? The last time I was there I spend $100 in service, that alot to budget for and when I didn't give as much tip to their liking they talked crap about me again. I came thru bc it was close to where I live and in the area i was doing errands. Good things: lots of colors to choose from, they offer perfect match for mani/pedi. But....Right off the bat, this place is filthy. Counters, floors, sink, behind the pedicure chairs is covered with layers and layers of dead skin, old nail polish drippings, and dust. They all wear masks, and I was going to ask for one myself. The side table on the massage chair was broken, the lady told me to put my stuff on the ledge behind the massage chair. Never do that-when i picked it back up, a cloud if dead skin and dust came up and is still on the bottom on my bag, and left on my car seat too . The counter I sat at for my mani looked like it had a weeks worth of dust and dead skin on it too with a fan in the middle with old nail polish drippings in it. The no chip UV machines felt disgusting like i was putting my hand in a pool of oils. He used a drill to get my no chip off instead of just soaking. The mani/pedi itself looks fine/average. But the whole situation is just gross. Please clean your salon. Or invest in a renovation. read more

This salon is just ok. They are always busy so the tech's tend to do a rush job and there is ALWAYS kids in there. I always find that annoying. There is limited seating as well and majority of time kids are taking up the seats that are there.
