Not only did they get my scheduled right away, they had permits started and had SMUD call me within 24 hours to let me know that the process is started. Talk about fast! Tim and Isaiah came out to replace my main panel today. They arrived early, ready to work. Not only were they professional, they treated my home with care and they even spent time giving my dog some love and treats! On the day of installation, Matt and his son Brayden arrived at the agreed upon time. They were both very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Even though it was pretty chilly outside, they were able to install all 4 lights up skillfully and without any issues. VERY HELPFUL! My…read morein-laws lost power in part of their house. FIL used to be a general contractor so he wanted to replace the circuit breaker piece. He was concerned that the piece was an old style that might not be made any more, and he didn't know any stores in the area that would carry a part like that. There was a place in the Bay Area but we told him that was too far to drive and urged him to just hire an electrician. The problem is, we didn't know if it was the circuit breaker, the GFCI breaker, or something totally different. In-laws were also concerned an electrician would charge an arm and a leg for the repairs, and they were on a fixed income with a tight budget. I decided to come on Yelp for help. Messaged a few electricians and companies in their area with the highest Yelp reviews. Jeff from 1 Source Electric responded as we were driving away from my in-laws' house. He was so knowledgeable and helpful from the very first message. Gave us a list of a few businesses where we could possibly find the circuit breaker replacement. Mike has been here two more times since my last update. The first time he installed a new sub-panel…read morein our garage (our old panel was maxed out a few years ago). We also asked him to install a junction box under our gas cooktop for a 240-volt line. He ran the 240-volt line from the new sub-panel. This new line was in case we ever wanted to replace the cooktop with an induction cooktop. Most recently he came back to move the junction box, as we had decided to get that induction cooktop after all, and it spec'd a junction box lower down than Mike installed. (Of course, if we'd picked a cooktop ahead of time and had the spec, this extra trip would not have been needed.) Every time he's come, he's been on time, very pleasant, and cleans up any mess the job created. And, his jobs are very precise and neat.
