I hired Steve to install an EV Charger at my rental house in downtown Sacramento and then install a Tesla Charger at my Rocklin home. The Rocklin house had a few complications mainly because I had a very old panel. Steve prior to taking the job did a bunch of research to make sure that he could do it safely and cost effectively. We had a power surge due to our power lines going down in the early February wind storm. We had multiple issues as a result of the damage caused by the surge. We reached out to Steven at S&E Electric based on his numerous 5 star reviews on Yelp. He responded to us very quickly and was at our home within a couple of days. He started with our electric panel and replaced one of the switches. Next, he tested our garage door openers and confirmed those were fried. L I was on the final As Built inspection of a shop, and was informed that the 3 exterior electrical outlets weren't rated for outside.  I called the electrical company I've used in the past, and they sent someone to give me a quote.  I totally misunderstood that just having them come give a quote would cost $79. Then the estimate they gave me was $1300. That was for 3 outlets.  I then put the all call out on Yelp. Steven from S&E electrical was the first one to respond.  I  called him and he was able to come over the next day. He gave me an estimate over the phone of $450 and had it done the next day. The following day, the inspector found another one that needed to be replaced.  He got there that same day, fixed it up. The next day, my shop passed the final inspection. I hired S&E October 2024 to help me with a very complex commercial microgrid project. The prior two electricians could not get it done. There were a ton of pieces involved--motor operator, UPS, active fuse monitoring, ATS, generator, etc. S&E really took the time to understand my unique set-up. It took a few tries as we had to figure out things together, and they were always punctual, reasonable, and great communicators.
