I needed a new charger installed in the garage. Magic Sun was recommended by my friends. I'm glad I reached out to them. I got a quote immediately and they stopped by the next day to confirm the setup and the quote. The appointment for the work was scheduled for the following week, a few days later. They used a laser light to make sure lights were in a straight line. I felt their quote was fair, not the cheapest but not the most expensive. So far, everything has stayed put, even with the storm we just had. Loved working with Magic Sun. Looked all over for a company who would install 2 exhaust fans in my house. I contacted plumbers, HVAC companies, general contractors and none of them were able to help. I needed the fans to be vented to the outside of the house rather than just to the attic. Then I finally found Magic Sun. I requested a quote through Yelp which was responded to very promptly. I was able to schedule Chad to come out to look at my house in a couple of days. Chad was here on time, wearing a mask and we practiced social distancing while in my house. I received the estimate the same night he was here and was able to schedule the install for a couple of days out. The team was here right on time (they both wore masks and practiced social distancing as well). We confirmed the spaces and which fan would go where and they got to work. Install for both fans (a humidity sensor exhaust fan in the bathroom and just a regular exhaust fan in the laundry area) were installed in about 3 hours. The guys were nice, worked quick and showed us where the kill switch was for the humidity sensor fan in the attic. There was an issue with the bathroom fan dripping water after the first shower we took after it was installed. I emailed Chad to let him know about this and he said his team would be out the next business day (fans were installed Friday, we noticed it dripping on Saturday and Chad was able to come back out Monday). They had to install a larger duct in order to get the fan from leaking. They thought that the smaller duct was not able to move all of the air through properly. With the bigger duct installed, we have not had any issues with the fan leaking. Would 100% recommend Magic Sun. Great customer service read more

We started to have some abnormal electrical events in the house; bad gfi, tripped breaker; thermostat on/off. Of course I was gone on shift when the breaker tripped again. I emailed magic electric due to it being Sunday explaining my situation. I chose to go with Magic due to the yell reviews as well as the solar side of the company installed our solar earlier last year. I was promptly called Monday morning. I re-explained my situation. They were more than happy to come out and help us trouble shoot. My wife felt comfortable with the crew. They did there 'magic' and where able to fix some things and we are as good as new. Magic Sun Electric did a great job for us about a year ago when they successfully upgraded our old 1960's original electrical panel. We upgraded a small, outdated 100 Amp Zinsco service, to a new modern 200 Amp service (Square D 200A 30/42 - Solar Ready). In older homes such as mine, there are frequently circuit breakers that have notorious manufacturing defects which may cause electrical arcing & overheating. Because circuit breaker defects have led to numerous fires over the years, electrical service panel upgrades should top any list for best home investments. Magic Sun did a beautiful job upgrading our service. I am very happy to have found them, since I have upgraded panels in the past with other companies and things were never so smooth. They coordinated the disconnecting & reconnecting of our power through SMUD. Our Electrical Service Upgrade permit was easily passed Sacramento County's inspection and our power was back on the same day. Magic Sun is priced very, very competitively. However don't let that cause concern because after seeing their work product, it is clear they can competently handle far more complex work/designs than my electrical panel service upgrade. Talk about not having your act together, it would be Chad Hurlock who runs this company! We had him out to do an estimate for solar for our pool. While talking with him we mentioned that we also needed an electrician for some changes we needed to make in other areas. Before he left we had agreed on the type and placement of solar system (it would take a month to get the panels in) and that an electrician would be there the following week. Get a call the next day that electrician was on vacation and would be there the following Monday. Monday comes and no electrician so called him Tuesday to find out what happened. His response....well didn't know if you wanted him.....????.....we had multiple conversations!! Mentioned the solar....well didn't know if you wanted that so haven't ordered anything!!!! We were going to spend over $5,000 and you can't remember anything? Needless to say WILL NOT use him and advise others not to also. read more

A bit about me and the situation, first off I'm a very picky home owner who wants things done right, and professionally done. Magic Sun exceeded my expectations! My issue was with our AC unit, and I had just spent big bucks a few days before with Beutler on a few repairs which did not resolve the issue. Luckily I didn't do all of their recommendations which would have cost me about $2,000. As a last ditch effort I went out to Yelp to find an electrician to check the breaker that the AC condenser had been tripping. I received a fast response from Brandon (on the weekend I may add) and we started communicating about my issue. Not only was Brandon professional, patient, but he was also very informative and offered a fair price. First thing Monday, Magic Sun went out of their way to come to my house and resolve the issue. This was a few weeks ago during the 100 degree temps and Brandon was a life saver...AC has been working better then ever! This is the best money I had spent on a home repair in years....instead of an entire AC unit service for hundreds of dollars by the other guys, Brandon and his team were able to fix the issue for a small fee.
