Really yummy drink but they take a bit long in my humble opinion. I waited almost 20 minutes for 3 drinks and I just don't see how it should take any longer than 5-6 min for drinks. I had the black milk tea with extra boba and it didn't disappoint. I asked the worker if they had non-dairy and after him repeating the answer to me three times I still had no idea what he said. Now that I finally live in location with close by boba shop, I've been on the look out and this place is by far my favorite. I'm a good ol fashioned milk tea with boba enthusiast. I don't care much for all kinds of fancy teas and not a fan of fruity drinks. Gave this spot a try and got their dark brown sugar milk tea with boba and it is fire! Perfectly sweetened, both the drink and the boba. Cups are pretty cool and durable and you get a good sized drink. The price is definitely much more affordable then most other boba shops, about a dollar cheaper or so (if pricing is a big thing for you). I did try their popcorn chicken. It's okay to the say the least, but I probably wouldn't get it again. You get a pretty good portion size though. Place is pretty large with plenty of seating if you want to study. The minute I walked in I immediately noticed the smudges of greasy hand prints all over the entrance door...strike one. As I ordered I noticed the cashier was also making the drinks...Strike 2. I dont want to be mean but this particular employee had bad hygiene...in my mind I wanted to leave but ordered anyways just to be nice. The best Boba place in La Verne! The Boba / tapioca is always soft and fresh! They have variety of toppings & aloe vera!! Yay! The popcorn chix is the bomb and pairs with the drinks well. We buy 2-3 milk teas weekly to support this business because my husband love it so much! I've had Magic Tea bookmarked for a while now, as the designs of their cups and menu seemed cute and promising respectively. I finally got to visit them this past Sunday. There were lots of options for drinks, but I opted for the Wintermelon with Carmel egg pudding and my boyfriend got the Thai tea. Both were great! They didn't have a super strong tea taste, and were mildly sweet. I love that their cups are reusable and they're adorable too! I do think they used milk in the drinks, so if you need a milk substitute, I'd ask ahead of time as we were not offered and I did not see an option on the menu. There were so many delicious food options, but we weren't on the hunt for a meal on Sunday. I'll definitely be back to try out some of their yummy crepes or popcorn chicken next time! read more

It was hard finding an authentic tasting Taiwanese/Chinese tea shop in this area, so I was really glad when I found Magic Tea. They have all the usual drinks/snacks you can find at other boba shops, and you can really taste the tea. I would recommend the Jasmine Milk Tea, or the Strawberry Lover on a hot day. Found this cute location on a whim and decided to order online and pick up our drinks. My go-to is usually black tea with cheese foam and boba, and I basically judge a place by its basic black tea. This place was really good! Their cheese foam is SOO GOOD! It has that nice creamy, foamy texture with the right amount of salt and sweet. And their black tea was good too! I would definitely try this place again. The yogurt galaxy drink was really pretty, but it was okay, nothing too special. And the brown sugar milk tea is just standard. After moving away from Central San Gabriel Valley, I lost access to some of the best boba shops around, but Magic Tea really hits the spot! My first time there, I tried the Galaxy Yogurt Tea with Lychee Jelly and was pleasantly surprised! I couldn't exactly identify what the "galaxy" part of the drink was, but it sure added a great twist to the original Yogurt Green Teas I've tried before. Overall, it was a thirst-quenching and delicious drink. This visit, I went with the classic Jasmine Green Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Boba and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. The milkiness balances well with the flavor of tea (just the way I like it!) and the boba is so fresh it left faint streaks of brown sugar running down the sides of the cup (shown in photo). I was tempted to order the Popcorn Chicken as well, but decided to save it for my next visit.
