The owner is has amazing service, and when you're interested in a drink they can offer samples to try! I ordered the Lychee Mint Mojiteado with Aloe vera which had a perfect taste for my palette. On the side I ordered Spam Musubi Balls, which are fried spam, rice, furikake, drizzled with teriyaki and Sriracha mayo which was just as reasonably tasty for its price. Since I went in the morning they provided some freshly baked ube mochi, which I very much recommend for a sweet treat. This place i'll save for another time I pass by claremont. read more

OONA is a cute little boba shop located within the Claremont District. After work, I wanted something refreshing after an 8-hour shift. OONA has kiosks that take your orders which I appreciate. Every time I try a new boba place, I try my favorite thing to rate them fairly: a mango passionfruit green tea with crystal jelly. This shop is a little pricy, my order was a little over $8 including tax. However, the serving size is generous. There was a lot of seating on the inside and a few seats on the outside. My drink was ready within a few minutes. To get my drink, they just called out my name. I really enjoyed the crystal bobas from this place, by far the best crystal jelly I've had. The drink was good, it was nothing out of this world but it was a nice refresher to have after work. I'll definitely be coming here again with these 8-hour workdays. They have a good variety on their menu too. Alongside boba, they sell bento boxes and more food. They offer a lot of toppings for the boba and flavors. This is the best boba house in the Claremont village by far. I appreciate how fast the service is and how easy it is to order. read more

This is a cute and clean place with a wide variety of menu items. Although they have a self-ordering kiosk, they have a friendly staff in case you have questions. I always ask for suggestions because there's so much on the menu that I can't decide. I've tried their matcha, iced teas, iced coffee, "mojitos," smoothies, pandan, pancit, chicken wings, fish, bento box, and other Filipino treats (my fave). The food is well-seasoned, crispy and fresh and they never skimp out on sauces. They always ask if you'd like certain items mild or spicy, which I appreciate. Oona also has THE VERY BEST LUMPIA in the entire area (I have tried several), that is what I always recommend along with SHRIMP TEMPURA!Next time you visit, ask them if they have any special menu item that day... sometimes they have turon (fried banana rolls) and other fun dishes. Filipino inspired food and drinks... count me in. It's great to see a Filipino inspired place in Claremont. We ordered the mango sago, and two drinks. We had it with the pink boba and it was great. Not too sweet and has a good chew. Service was quick and efficient. They also gave us sample of the ube mochi, which was not too sweet and was still light. Was working in the area and stopped in for a boba slushie in the afternoon. It's a cute little shop with a decent sized seating area and a few outlets to plug in. The windows face the downtown area so it's a great place to study and get a sweet treat. You can order on the Ipad or at the counter with a person and I chose the counter. I went with a simple passion fruit slushie with boba and it was ready pretty quickly. I enjoyed my slushie in the store whilst scrolling on my phone and it was a nice break. I really hope everyone gets a chance to stop in. The owner is incredibly sweet and you can tell she really loves what she does. They offer different Philippine style foods on Saturday's and even offer catering if you call ahead. The store is very cute. We got the seasonal grape tea and the strawberry mango mojiteo. First the great: The owner is SUPER nice. The smoothies were delicious and I loved the real fruit in the berry one. I've come before for some of their hot snacks and they were delicious. However, this place feels dirty and like it needs a good in depth cleaning. The tables were sticky and littered with crumbs. I'm NOT a germaphobe by any means, but I noticed some of the employees sitting around for much of the time and it probably couldn't hurt to give everything a good wipedown, especially the kiosk screen, tables, and door handles. This boba shop is under new ownership. It used to be called T&Joy. I ordered the oolong milk tea with less ice, brown sugar boba, and 25% sweetness, and the drink was extremely sweet for me. The employee was kind enough to remake my drink for me after I let him know that I prefer my drinks to be less sweet. The boba and milk tea quality wasn't the best, but it will hit the spot. This spot is dope! Incredible tea and boba, great location in Claremont Village, accessible, clean, and lots of great menu options. Upon arrival I was trying to figure out what I wanted to order and got helped immediately. Once we got our drinks the owner (Rowena) wanted to ensure that we liked them. We tried our lavender black tea and mango black tea with boba, and they were incredible. Shortly after this, Rowena brought me an additional drink to try (free of charge) just to give me an idea of another way I could order a similar drink with a different twist. Where do you find that kind of customer service nowadays?! We got to know Rowena a bit more, and we were taken aback by how hospitable she was to us. Once we told her it was our first time at Oona, she brought us a few samples to try. It almost felt as if we were guests at her house! It's clear that boba is Rowena's passion, she knows what she's doing and customer experience is her top priority. I wanted to support local and a new business , so I decided to try this new boba/snack shop. It had great reviews, but I had an inkling they were perhaps written by friends and family. I ordered at a kiosk, so minimal interaction with employees. The lady who handed me my drink seemed friendly. I ordered the 16oz dirty brown sugar milk tea with boba. It was watered down and overly sweet. It didn't have the creamy milk taste or tea taste. The boba was hard and wasn't chewy. Honestly it was too sweet , so I threw it away. I also ordered the 16oz mango black tea with lychee. It was too sweet. I salvaged this by adding ice to it, but it too didn't not taste like tea. Lychee jelly was the standard premade stuff all boba shops have. Limited street parking. Clean from my quick glance around. The previous boba shop at this location was subpar as well. The pearls are perfectly chewy with just the right touch of sweetness, and the drink itself was super refreshing. The boba milk tea I got (Brown Sugar Oat Milk Tea) was amazing! Better than other boba places I've tried so far. The boba was also freshly made and hot. But the drink itself kept its very cool refreshing taste. The cup was also very cute. We also ordered fries and they were the best tasting fries ive ever had. Perfectly seasoned. I usually prefer extremely crispy fries but these were very good with a nice crispy outside and soft inside. The place smelled incredible too. This location doesnt have enough parking for the amount of business this place will and should have. The workers are incredibly kind and professional. For those with gluten/dairy allergies and intolerances Nina takes it extremely seriously and is knowledgeable. She took it more seriously than some dedicated gluten/dairy friendly places I've been. The shop itself was very clean and welcoming. The #1 thing for me personally was the service. You seriously don't receive service this kind and professional anywhere anymore it seems. You can find a lot of places with quick service, with professional service, and with very nice service. But rarely do you find a place like this one that has all 3. I'd certainly recommend this place for boba to anyone within a 30 minute driving radius. My husband and I went to this spot on Friday 5.22.26 and were blown away by the quality of the boba, the tea and the customer service. We got to meet Rowena, the owner and she met us with hospitality and grace. You can tell she cares deeply about her customers experience! I ordered a mango black tea with brown sugar boba... AMAZING! Rowena made me a second drink to try and give her feedback and it was INCREDIBLE! It's called the green grape refresher and I'm counting the days for us to go back so I can order it!! I told Rowena it tasted like a jolly rancher but it was a green tea drink with lychee and green grape slices... Rowena is so creative with how she makes her drinks. My stepdad is really struggling with his health, and had enjoyed boba previously. I stopped by overwhelmed with grief and hoping to add some joy to a really trying time. The woman behind the counter, Rowina, was not only accommodating but incredibly kind and thoughtful in helping prepare an assortment of delicious things for my stepdad to enjoy. It was a welcoming environment that helped make a really rough time in my life feel more easeful. I'm so so grateful and highly recommend this place to all.
