Use to eat here a lot and the food fell off. Tried it a few weeks ago and the food was awesome. It's really a take out or delivery restaurant. I had the chicken fried rice, ribs, beef lo mein, orange chicken and wonton soup. All of this cost less than 100.00. Amazing. Very tasty read more

This place used to be excellent Chinese Restaurant, I order Shrimp Fry Rice and Spare ribs, the Fry rice was yellow (like Cuban arroz con Pollo) , maybe 5 Shrimps, the Spare ribs, were hard and old with a lot, a lot Barbecue sauce. We ordered today Chinese food from here. I called and they told me it will take 40 minutes and the total was $27 with delivery. We got the food at exactly 40 min after I called. We got the family pack with: wonton soup; simple and with out too much soy sauce. Fried Ham rice; it was delicious, filled with ham cubes and other vegetables. Chicken with broccoli; the chicken was so tender and with a tasty soy sauce. Pepper steak, also tender and served with sautéed onions and green peppers. Love it because the vegetables were crunchy. This is a "get what you pay for" kind of place that satisfies my Chinese takeout craving but I wouldn't necessarily take home for my fellow NY born relatives to try. We are a bit snobby when it comes to Chinese takeout but alas, it will never be as good as it was there and that's OK. The staff here are usually very friendly and more than willing to accommodate some special requests. When I request my dish "spicy" that is absolutely what I get - and there is something to be said for that. Usually when I request a meal spicy at any restaurant they try to call my bluff. Then I end up asking for more heat, irritated they didn't take me seriously the first time - but not here. Here, they listen! I'm accustomed to the Singapore noodles and the husband likes sweet and sour chicken or general tsos (all dishes rank a 7/10). The soup is good and the egg rolls aren't overly greasy, so that's a plus in our book. For the portions and price, you can't do much better in this area... It certainly beats JC down the road (which is no bueno!) you keep on keeping on Magic Wok, you've got our vote. read more

I've been going to this Chinese restaurant for takeout and delivery for years and years! In all those years, they've never disappointed me. I've tried many items on the menu but I usually stick with the lunch or dinner combos with the main entrée being either Chicken Lo Mein or Pepper Steak. I love them both! The combos come with a soup and pork fried rice (which is really good). Sometimes the fried rice is so good, it's better than the entrée itself! The prices and portions of items in this restaurant are pretty average. They have no tables and chairs. It's strictly takeout only, just a couple seats for those waiting for their food to be prepared. Parking is free and plentiful. Food comes out hot, fresh, and fast! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more

I've lived in the same house for 27 yrs and have always ordered from Canton Star or Jin Jin, both excellent. I decided to try the Magic Wok tonight for dinner and I cannot express the regret I feel. I won't speak on the fees added which was very bothersome but I will speak on the food which was a tremendous disappointment. I am not sure if they were trying to clean out what they had left by reheating or maybe it was just bad food to begin with. I ordered several dishes and for the most part they included lots of onions some peppers and very few pieces of protein. This order was expensive and unworthy of the amount of money I spent. I do not recommend this restaurant at all, I do however, recommend Amici's and Aromas del Peru both are absolutely delicious and serve fresh wonderful food. read more

This is the best inexpensive New York style Chinese restaurant in West Kendall... Good god I have tried them all. Wok skills are on point & the food is always fresh & tasty, but not as salty as you would expect from this class of Chinese takeout. Salt & pepper wings are great, also the fried rice is always good. Finding a decent Chinese place can be tricky. We first moved to Kendall from Coconut Grove and was in dismay at the nearby Chinese restaurants. Then, we stumbled across Magic Wok and decided to give it a try. We've had the Special Lo Mein, Special Fried Rice, Egg Drop soup, they're actually pretty good. I was mislead by all the high reviews and compliments here on yelp. If this is what people in Kendall Miami consider good Chinese food, then I believe people around here never have had exceptional Chinese food. Like the guy who said that this restaurant resembles Chinese food in NYC, this guy has no idea what nyc chines food is. I ordered the chicken lo mein with steamed dumplings. Let me starts with the dumplings, the dough was hard and when you bite into them they are tasteless to the point that it feels like your eating cardboard. The chicken lo mein is the most disgusting thing I have eaten. The texture of the chicken tasted like a dead road kill animal that was just boiled with no seasoning. The pasta was just boiled and then they mixed it with a tasteless brown sauce tossed with frozen vegetables. This food was so disgusting that after one bite of each item I had to toss everything through my garbage disposal. I recommend you stay away this place if you are considering eating edible food. read more

Christina recognizes me by voice and knows my apartment number because I order from here so much, and I mean twice a week "so much". I love there spring rolls and my wife is obsessed with there pepper steak. There a mom and pop owned business and there the freaking fastest deliverers I've ever seen, and when I say fast I mean get ready for her to tell you 25 to 30 minutes and then the door bell rings I'm freaking 15 minutes. I'm pretty sure they've discovered teleportation because it's crazy how fast they get here. There special fried rice is delicious and so is there orange chicken.
