Her hotel, restaurant and mode of transport suggestions were perfect for us and adhered to our travel budget. Every detail was thoughtfully organized and nothing was left to chance. We were provided local guides and drivers who were delightful as well as knowledgeable. Our nieces enjoyed the beach vibe of Rapallo and my husband and I enjoyed some much needed R and R time. Rome, Venice, Positano and Pompeii were all amazing to visit. Rich in history, architecture and delicious food. Nanette built a timeline for these destinations that was all inclusive but yet not exhausting. Our only hiccup was the return flight home. Weather issues stranded us in Chicago overnight. Of course we cannot control the weather so we simply enjoyed a nice dinner and a restful evening at a local hotel and arrived home a day later than anticipated. Ah, the joys of air travel. We loyalty booked following a wonderful stay at Beaches Turks & Caicos last fall. After Hurricane Melissa impacted the area, we notified Modern Family Travel on the evening of Thursday, October 30 that we wanted to rebook for February 28-March 7, 2026. We followed up on Friday, October 31 after almost 24 hours with no confirmation. The owner, Velia Kennedy, replied that she was on hold with Sandals and would send an "update ASAP." I then received only a "safe travels" message at 9:02 AM on Saturday, November 1 -- less than 24 hours before our scheduled departure -- with no confirmation of the rebooking. At this point, I was livid about the lack of urgency around this situation. Modern Family Travel's lack of urgency forced me to engage another travel professional to secure the new dates. Then, Beaches Negril gave us a $200 credit for being inconvenienced by the resort closing for 6 weeks. Modern Family Travel never refunded us like they were supposed to. We had to wait until we checked in at the resort for them to call and get our refund to find out that velia took 10% of our refund and we were only getting $180 back.

The service was exceptional! The staff was warm and welcoming and they truly seemed to care for the passengers and wanted to ensure we had a good experience. The train car we rode in was beautiful, and the seats were comfortable. And the best part was being able to walk to and around the open train car to get the best view of the open air and fall foliage. Overall, the check-in and boarding process went smoothly. In addition, I was delighted to see the nice and clean event porta potty rentals. Thank God! A complimentary snack or drink would have made this the perfect experience I know Colebrook Dale has year-round season-themed excursions and dinner excursions. We provided our billing information…read moreat least a week before the scheduled pick up, the credit card was charged immediately, but the driver never showed up at the pre-agreed upon time. We waited as long as possible but no call from them and response to my call to them. We drove to the airport on our own. I called T S Limo the next day to request they either not charge my card or charge back for the service. No response at all from them. Infuriating to say the least.
